If installing on your Raptor double check to see if your factory wheel has the heating element. Luckily mine did!
Kit comes with a new Clockspring and SCCM, mine from the factory were blanked out where the HSW plugs in. You also get the HVAC controller with the hard button HSW control. I didn’t need the harness that was provided to get power to the HSW but they provide one if needed.
Bought this kit for myself and wanted to share how the install goes.
I found a good deal on a used 23 with all options but the heated steering wheel. I read in frf forums that it’s a easy retrofit , Holt shit I think not!!
Thanks for the video. I'm hoping ford does a field service action, but confirmed with them today they're not sure yet. Good to know we can update the 2023s relatively easily. I'll probably ask my dealer to do it so I don't break anything! lol
Lmao imagine spending 80k to rip your dash apart 😅
Wish you started the video by showing us how you took the interior apart. Never understood the partial guides. Anyways was helpful but seeing the whole process would be awesome.
Thanks! This is a must do for me
To everyone looking for the forscan details, there will be video on my channel soon regarding what needs to happen, because it is a little bit more cumbersome than I thought. Thanks!
So I'm in the same boat I'll be getting a 2023 raptor soon when it arrives with out heated steering wheel. You had to get clock spring and Hvac unit and you said your truck already came with heated steering wheel option. So most likely there biulding these trucks with out clock spring and havac unit but have the heated steering wheel I'd assume since the only package is the 801A wich is the higher end. Wich should have heated steering wheel
whats the part number for the clock spring and the clock spring housing?
Just bought the same kit, wondering about the clips on the dash? What’s the best way to reach out?
Nice video. You mentioned about re-programming the SCCM, how about the HVAC module?
Both have to be programmed
wow that is a lot just for a heated wheel
Where did you order all the parts from.
Great can you do mine when my truck arrives?
What part you need to replace (buy) Thx
Are you going into hvac module configuration in forscan
Did you have to buy a sterring wheel or did the steering wheel that came on the truck heated ready?
For your truck, you didn't have to tap into any wires? It was good to go just need the SCCM swap with a new HVAC module and FORscanned? I have a 23' Platinum and I'm curious about that one piece of information.
Did you need to put a code into the HVAC module so the heated steering wheel button would function? I completely understand saving the original programming in forscan and uploading that to the new HVAC module, but what do you do to get the heated steering wheel button to work? If there is a code needed to be changed in forscan under HVAC, can you provide that?
did you get this to work?
do you have the spreadsheet for the forscan programming?
did you ever get it?
Thanks for the video. I'm in the process of doing the heated steering wheel to my '23 Raptor. How did you program it? When I plug FORscan in, the program states "unable to identify vehicle."
Jeremy just did the install tonight I can help you walk through it
We are performing the same upgrade but need the spreadsheet, do you have the one they gave you?
did you get it?
Can you or someone else who has performed this mod post the code to activate the heated wheel button on the HVAC module please? I cant find it anywhere.
did you get it???
My 23 came with the heated steering wheel
Do you have the part number for the new clock spring part by any chance so I can order mine? I think it’s ML3Z-3F791-BB but I am not sure.
Was that the correct part number ?
@@geovannigodinez3686 it is for a normal f150 if you have a raptor you need ML3Z-3F791-HB
It’s totally ridiculous that a top end truck with the insane price comes with heated steering wheel deleted. What’s even more insane is people can’t wait to pay the gouging prices for these trucks with things deleted from them. Ford knows now they can get away with anything.I bought a 2021 platinum in January 2021 right before the price gouging started. Got $8500 off of actual factory sticker MSRP. And it has a heated steering wheel. I use to trade trucks every 2 to 3 years. But no more. My 21 has been flawless and I will drive it for many years.
This man get it. My 2020 is paid for... normally I would got a new one last year. This truck will be my son's one day. Manufacturers have lost their ever loving minds
Glad I bought a lightly used (13K miles) '21 Lariat in late '22 after giving up on a 2 year wait for my Bronco to be built. It is fully loaded with everything I wanted, with the exception of the of the 18 speaker B&O stereo. When I look at the '22's and newer, along with the feature/option omissions, the material quality is substandard to say the least. The transmission shifter on this Raptor is all plastic, while my shifter is metal, or at least looks the part!
Hi, I’m doing that my self, I bought my own parts but I don’t have the Forscan codes, can you help me out with the spreadsheet?
I have the spreadsheet
@@mikeversluis3133 do you mind to help me out?
@@mikeversluis3133 do you have spread sheet for this?
@@mikeversluis3133 can you send me the spread sheet
@@mikeversluis3133can you send me the spreadsheet? I can’t figure out how to get the heated steering wheel button to work
I actually prefer the heated steering wheel delete…
