You are so impressive. I also liked the cover you put on the original wheel. I can see there is nothing that intimidates you. Thanks for the encouragement on saying anyone can do this. Your contribution to CZcams has significantly improved the caliber of value. 👏
Thank you. That’s very nice of you to say. I’ve been taking apart cars and motorcycles for years now. You become very comfortable over time. CZcams has changed the game and made it possible for anyone to get out there and do it.
I just swapped my ‘23 F250 XLT plastic wheel with a ‘21 F150 Lariat leather wheel. The new SD’s and the ‘21+ F150’s share the same cab and a majority of the accessories. I swapped over my black buttons and spoke surround to the leather wheel. The whole sequence is nearly identical to yours.
Wait--MY 2020 XLT has the leatherette covering. Yours does not? I am trying to get a leather wheel for my new STX I ordered and don't want to end up with one without the leather.
As a ram guy working at a Ford dealership I often bring the techs over to look at the 45 to $50,000 Ford truck that has an injection molded plastic rubber steering wheel. How embarrassing
Hi there! Thanks for this great video! I ordered the wheel and will be swapping out this weekend. Iove my 23 Lightning Pro, like yours it's fully loaded, and the leather steering wheel will be icing on the cake 😊 Lets us know if you figure out how to get the heated part to work on your Pro. Cheers mate 👌👍🏻👏🏻
Great video. Thanks for making it! Did you have yo swap the harness? I would love to add the heated steering . Hope you make a video of that too. Any resource ideas on how to fo it?
Hey thanks! I did reuse the button harness from my old steering wheel just to be safe. It worked fine. I didn't check if the new one would work as I didn't want to tear everything down again just in case it didn't work correctly. I'm definitely looking into the heated portion of it. Look at the F150lightningforum.com and search for the thread called "Leather Steering wheel Mod on Pro - Help!".
Hey thanks. I can’t imagine it would. They would have to prove that something you did caused whatever issue to pops up. Just make sure you torque the wheel nut to the proper foot pounds and there isn’t much else that can go wrong.

Looks good but I think I will stick with the bass steering wheel in my lightning Pro for now!
Damn the price of the steering wheel is $475 now.
No way! Looks like it’s 480$ on Tascas website too. Wonder if there is a shortage going on.
Did you ever add the heat to the steering wheel? I live in Ohio and would love to do this to my Pro if I can get the heat to it.
Hey, I love your videos. It made me pull the trigger on a pro this week. Do yo know if this will void any warranty or cause any issues with that?

Can you post a link to the Steering wheel cover that starts the video on your PRO wheel? Love it

Any chance you have a link for the not TACC or heated leather steering wheel version? Would love to not have to swap out the buttons 😬
You have link to where you got the replacement wheel.
Check the video description. I posted it there.
Any chance you got the heated steering wheel part figured out?
Not yet sadly. Been pulled in other directions recently.
