I felt like I was watching a professional take us through the steps my friend. Great video and very well done.
Thanks David! I enjoy doing them.
@@StupidFastTruck Do you know of a shop in Vancouver British Columbia Canada that can do this type of install with aftermarket heated seats, where the switches are on the sync 4 screen? I am purchasing a 2021F 150 regular cab and it does not come with heated seats from the factory. I do not want the switch on the seat where you cannot physically see it when you’re driving.
@@perrytalkkari4166I'm not sure exactly to be totally honest about what shops can do in Canada. The heated SW install is a very easy install, they should be able to do it. Making after market heated seats work on the sync screen could be tricky.
@@StupidFastTruck I know of 1 shop here where they have done many after market upgrades on my trucks. I am going to show him this video of the heated steering wheel that you have and have him do that for my truck. I love heated steering wheels. I am sure he can install the aftermarket heated seat switches somewhere on the dash instead of the seat itself. You do great work. 👍
@@StupidFastTruck approximately How much would you charge to install the heated steering wheel including labour and materials?
Just a ballpark figure would be fine.
Wow Mike,. It's been cool to watch the evolution of the production and editing of what you're doing. This video couldn't be produced any better! Keep up the good work......
Thanks Marty!
Hey Mike,
Still so thankful for the exhaust system. The novelty still hasn't worn off. I'm really so grateful.
Best wishes for you in the future.
And seriously... your videos are so incredible. The big 3 should dream to have such high quality videos.
So high quality, informative, and direct to the point.
Thanks again,
Random someone 👊👍
Thank you for the kind words. There's a lot more to come. Stay tuned.
Thank you so much for the exhaust you have given me. During these times of isolation it is so satisfying to get out and make some noise. Keeps me mentally healthy 😇
Also (some like, some don't) but I slammed the rear of my truck this week 1.5" Ford lowering shackles and pulled out the factory blocks. She is basically perfectly level now. 👍
Sorry I missed these somehow. Glad you're liking the exhaust. That's sucks about getting hit. I hope getting you got it fixed and its good as new.
Another great video and filming editing on point. Never will understand why or how you only have under 600 subs. While other channels grow and guys talk about lighting and how traction control works. CZcams kills me when guys put out this type of content and don’t get recognized. Thanks for taking so much time to it’s a lot of work and it’s appreciated.
Its fun, that's all I care about. Sure more subs and views would be nice, that will come in time.
Probably the most professional install video ! You’re so damn good at your edits !!! I can’t wait to get to south bend and hang out
Thanks bro!
Another great video Mike, well done!
Thanks John...You need one for your new rig. :)
Thank you for making this video Mike! Extremely professional and complete. ;)
Thanks!!! I'm just about ready to release the power fold mirror install video today. I need you make the the supplemental harnesses for the 360 camera. HAHA...j/k
@@StupidFastTruck lol of course. Dont know if you know, but we ordered a 2021 reg. 5.0 for the shop! I think you know where some of that inspiration came from. ;)
@@boostedgreygoosedesigns8476 Sweet!!! Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Mike your editing skills are top notch. Should have way more subs!
Thanks Mike! It will come in time...I need to post more often, that would help.
a hero we all deserve!
Superbly done as always!
Thanks VogelStang...Now I want cold weather back...On second thought...Naa.
Very nice tutorial, keep em coming, makes these projects so much less intimidating.
Thanks...Got it done just in time for spring...LOL
Nice video. The BGG harness is on it's way as well as the OEM parts. This video really helps me tremendously.
Glad it helped
Hey man, these videos are amazing! Keep up the good work! I have a 2018 RCSB as well that I've done a lot of the same things to as you've done on yours. Keep making good content!
Thanks, I'll have plenty more content coming!
How do you not have your own television show? Your work is nothing short of amazing sir.
Thanks bro...I really appreciate it, I have a good time doing them.
Great Job OCMike!
Thank you sir!
Happy Sunday to your amazing channel
Thank you! You too!
Great video and very inspiring.keep up the good work.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Liked and subbed! Thank you for the great video!
Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it!
Pretty Impressive the things you know how to do!!! Nice the way you put video's together. .
Very Professional!
Thanks Al...Hope to do a OPG and KC install video sometime soon.
Well done and informative!
Thank you!
Great video, guess it's time to get my stuff ordered & get to installation
Thanks! And thanks for watching.
man your videos are awesome. now i need to add 4A, heated steering wheel, and power folding mirrors to my truck lol..
Thanks! I enjoy all of those mod a lot.
Amazing Video. I’ll be using this for sure.
Thanks...Hope it helps out.
You have me pricing out raptor wheels.
Nice video 📹 👍 straight to the point
Thanks! And thanks for watching.
Awesome tutorial video!
Thank you for watching :)
Had to subscribe, this is some big brain stuff.
Thanks, and thanks for watching. Those are some very cool aquarium videos you have.
Incredible video!! Can you do a walk around of everything you've done? Very interested in the center console in a single cab!!
Thanks...I'm going to do a 2 year recap of all the mods once we get some decent weather.
That's awesome 🤙 🇺🇸
Thanks! And for watching.
that is amazing content
Thanks!
I had to subscribe again for some reason. Wth CZcams! Great video!
Thanks man!
you make it look easy
Thank you!
Sorry I didn't realize I wasn't subbed. I am now dude. Thanks.
Hey thanks, I appreciate it!
GREAT 👍🏻 JOB MIKE !
your truck it’s AMAZING 😉
But you are TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL!
Talk to Ford Motor Company !
You are very creative!
Thanks 👍Victor!!
We need you on the salvage rebuild train, like a raptor rebuild would be awesome
Thanks! Only problem is it would take me 10 years "Get it done!" :)
Great production and content. I'm considering the same mod, but my truck needs to age a bit more on it's warranty. I'm strongly considering getting the steering wheel for the paddle shifters. The manual button on the 2022 column shifter is just to awkward to use. Heated wheel may come after that.
Thanks!! Yep, I get it about the warranty....The manual button is awkward. The 10R80 doesn't shift very fast manually, a little better in sport mode. Its still fun to hold the gears and hear the V8 symphony.
@@StupidFastTruck You whippled your truck into shape. My RCLB with 5.0 coyote is more for hauling a camper/overlanding and shall likely remain whipple-less :)
Paddle shifters may be useful in 4L for a fake manual transmission feel.
Did you ever consider putting a torsen in the front? Or did I miss that video? :) Rear gearing 3.73?
Awsome videos, please do one on the auto climate control. I can't find any videos on adding it.
Will do! Thanks for watching.
Wonderful video, I am about to pull the trigger on all of these parts needed. Quick question though - I have an '18 Lariat, column shifter 40/20/40 bench seat that has heated and cooled seats. Will I be able to retain those heated and cooled seats, while upgrading to the heated steering wheel w/ both the paddle shifter harness, and heat harness provided by Grey Goose? Thank you for taking the time to reply, and wonderful videos once more.
Thanks you, yes it should work fine. You might as ask Grey Goose the question also. They have had more experience working with various truck configurations then myself.
I noticed that you have the 8" instrument cluster. How do you like it?? Was the upgrade warth it looking back on the purchase of it?
hey, Great video! there is something i don't understand and I will be thankful if I got the answer.. does your steering wheel come with pre installed steering coils? and you programmed and wired it? or you just installed an aftermarket wrap around your steering wheel?
The original steering wheel did not have the coils. The Raptor steering linked below did come with the heat coils. www.wholesalefordpartsfast.com/oem-parts/ford-steering-wheel-hl3z3600da
Awesome video, at 9:06, you have a climate display on the screen, how did you do that? Did you use Forscan for that? I really like the look of it.
Thanks!! Yes...I used Forscan to turn on the climate screen.
Great video! Where’d you get the raptor wheel with the gray sight line? All I’ve seen is red, orange, and blue.
Thank you!...Started off with a red one. Masked off the sight line with some fine line masking tape, then scuffed the red with some 600 grit sandpaper. Then dyed it with some SEM tan dye in a rattle can.
I need to do this to my wife's focus 16 with sync3 🙏👊🔴🇺🇲💯
Do it!!
Do you have a video on the install of the climet control sense? I'm doing the heated steering wheel with boosted harnes and I don't have the obd2 port harnes you showed.
I don't have video on the auto climate. The reason is when you install it and you have heated seats it they won't work afterward, the bezel is setup for heated and cooled seats. I don't have heated seats so it wasn't an issue for me.
Will this heat control module work also DG9T-14B561-AC
What is the part number for the heated steering wheel clockspring?
Does that Heat wheel module fit the 2017 Raptor? Tasca ford parts doesn't list Raptor under that part number. Is there another part number?
I would think so. I would contact Boosted Gray Goose on Instagram, or send him an email on his website. The part number I used was DG9Z-14B561-A, and it does fit a Raptor 802A.
Are there any ways to reduce the body roll and improve handling? Rear Anti roll bar? Also what to do with the surface rust esp. around rear suspension components. Can you do some videos around both these items?
I have Fox rear shocks and front coil overs. The truck has very little body roll but some might consider the ride a bit harsh. One option that others have done is add an aftermarket sway bar in the rear. I have considered it myself. I do have some rust forming on the rear diff and have considered throwing on a coat of epoxy primer to slow it down. Good idea on a video like that!
@@StupidFastTruck Thank you for the response.
Will this work on my 2016 Supercab XLT 4x4?
Good thing the neighbors dog didn’t try to cross the road
So how does the wheel heat up? Outstanding video btw
Thanks! It heats very well, nice to have during on a cold winters day.
How do you enable the coolant temp above the gauge?
Can you post a link to all the parts needed?
Do you want the new clock spring to go back in on the exact same position as it was taken out??
Yes, I believe so, if not then the turn signal canceling will be messed up. Plus there are limits oh how far the clock spring can be wound or unwound. That's why the new clock springs are locked in place until installed.
Where did you get the yellow stripe on the wheel?
I masked the red stripe off with some fine line masking tape, scuffed it up with some 600 grid sand paper then sprayed it with some SEM vinyl dye.
Where do I buy the equipment to be able to do this transformation or do you know any ford dealer that oes this modification thanks you
The wiring harness can be bought at, the link below, There it also shows the other parts needed. www.boostedgreygoosedesigns.net/2015-2020fordf150/heated-steering-wheel-harness
Please advise on the heated steering wheel for my 2019 xlt..
I followed all the steps and it does not get warm. I even double checked my connection and programming..
Please advise 🙏 thanks
I would start by making sure you're getting power. Also do the buttons on the touch screen respond?
I am getting power to the module and the button responds and light up.. as it should..even when remote started.. but just the steering wheel is not getting warm. Appreciate your time and help 🙂
Is there a shop in British Columbia Canada that can do this installation?
I have no idea to be honest. You might talk to a Car Audio Shop and see if they would want to take on the job.
Where did you get the steering wheel? I can’t find any that have the buttons like the xlt
Just transfer the buttons from your XLT to the heated wheel.
@@StupidFastTruck oh gotcha I didn’t know you could do that. Thanks!
Glad I could help...Thanks for watching.
Well, received the BGG harness, as well as my HSWM. I installed the long lead to pin 15, pins 15 and 16 were both vacant. Followed the rest of your video. Added the quadrant as well as the HSW icon. FORScan will NOT recognize the HSWM. I even tried pin 16. I have also deleted the profiles on FORScan so it scans the whole truck. No matter what I have tried it will not work. Any ideas? My user name on the F150Forum.com site is Stingray Steve. Any info you could provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
What year truck do you have? Pre 2018 truck need to add the test port jumper. I assume you connected to the ODB test port to the harness. That's how the HSWM communicates to the trucks data bus.
EDIT: Never mind about the year of your truck I looked up your channel and see you have a 2019 truck. So the test port is required.
@@StupidFastTruck Yes, a 2019. The BGG's harness I have has a built in test port vs the one you have that plug in separately.
@@StupidFastTruck Yay! I'm up and running!
Mike ! How are you ?? Everything ok? I missed you ! Where is My DreamTruck ???
Everything is well, another video is coming soon.
do you need to lube the new clock spring before install?
I did not and haven't had any issues in about 20K miles. It is a good question that I never considered. I had access to the work shop manual that expired a few days ago. It's too bad I didn't look then.
how did you get a/c seats is that oem? and how did you get the gear shifter to the middle console?
Thanks for watching. I don't have heated or a/c seat yet, it will be coming before I'm done. Just the auto temp bezel with buttons and that works great. The center console and floor shift I installed from parts ordered from the dealer.
what is the floor shifter plug and play how hard was the install.....i got 2020 RCSB XL
@@spongebobsb2609 I put mine in before BGG had a plug and play harness so for me it was a little more difficult. Now it should be much easier. I'm going to be installing a Platinum dash in a future video. I'll go over what's involved.
Now did you have to purchase the harness. I've found one of these on ebay that comes with harness, will that one work so it will heat up after I use forscan to turn it on. Thanks
Yes I bought the harness from www.boostedgreygoosedesigns.net/2015-2020fordf150/heated-steering-wheel-harness. The heated steering wheel module I bought from a dealer. The climate screen must be turned on, and adding the buttons to the screen with a Forscan setting.
@@StupidFastTruck so besides the steering wheel and the harness we have to get a module also.
@@deweyyates7057 two other parts,
Clockspring: HL3Z-14A664-B
Heat control module: DG9Z-14B561-A
Its all in the video.
So the stock clock spring will not work with the heated steering wheel?
I looked at the thread at f150 forums you linked to. Did you also use the wire terminal and other parts that listed in 1st post of thread, or will the wiring harness have everything we need to hook this up.
Didn't you have column shifter when your truck was new?
Did you swap it ?
Yes it did have a column shift and a jump seat, no console. It's one of my favorite modifications.
@@StupidFastTruck wow how was it?
For being STX packaged XL truck, I have centre console with a column shifter.
I guess it requires lots of work and money?
@@darricklee2532 it really wasn't bad. Your best bet would be to find a salvage console from www.lkqonline.com/ If you find one local to you even better and save the shipping. Just make sure you get the correct one for a 6 speed or 10 speed auto.
@@darricklee2532 the guy that makes the heated steering wheel harness also plug and play harness for floor shift conversions.
@@StupidFastTruck I have centre console in my f150 ...
Can I just buy console shifter only and wiring harness and install it in my existing console?
Interesting video but the music is obnoxious and way too loud.
We have that on the raptor my wife loves it myself I don’t need it.
My only regret is I didn't do it last fall. I got done just in time for spring. :(
I have the parts for a graygoose designs heating steering wheel upgrade including switch for a 2023 (will probably fit other years of the same generation) for sale if anyone wants it.
That's a lot of work. Lol
Can you do a list for all the parts please. Thanks and great video
Only 10lbs of boost at full go????
Yeah...still on the Whipple Tune...Maybe turn it up next spring.
Wanna help me with doing this to my expedition? I was playing with forscan the other day and added bambi mode and global window open. Would love to upgrade to heated steering wheel.
Thank you! Forscan is very cool application. I did Bambi mode some time ago. Its a great Free Mode.
So much for pnp
Thanks for watching!
