    I think the reefer trailers should have been mentioned as, "Refrigerated trailers, commonly called 'reefers'..."

    Some other common ones that could also be considered from around the world. Curtain sided trailer (tens of thousands of these in Europe) , Skeletal chassis intermodal container trailer (Many different types), Beaver tailed trailer (a common variant of a step deck), walking floor bulk trailer, conveyer belt bulk trailer, Blower bulk tipping trailer, (All three are common in agriculture). Other less common ones that I like seeing are sliding crane trailers where the trailer mounted crane can slide or roll the whole length of the trailer to unload dense cargo. I also like to see special flat bed trailers that carry their own small dismountable forklift truck at the rear, which can be seen in Europe. My final favorite which is a subset of one mentioned in the video are the 16' -16'4" tall triple deck car transporter trailers in Europe, boy do they look scary!

      Flatbeds with demountable forklifts are not unique to Europe. They (or straight trucks with a similar deck and forklift) are commonly used in North America for building materials, and for sod.

      Liquid commodity trialer, curtain side trailer, enclosed car hauler, multi-deck soft closure(curtain side but usually 2 independent cargo floors)

    There is also Curtainside Trailers which are like Enclosed trailers but they can be opened from the side

      Very popular on the European continent due to being the cheapest option. Up here in Sweden we use side doors instead. Weighs more and is more expensive, but easier to work with and when locked, no one can open up and see what's inside. On a curtain side, you can just cut open the curtain and see.

    • @brianb-p6586
      @brianb-p6586 Před 3 měsíci

      Right,@@tntfreddan3138 . Curtain sides are rare in Canada, but occasionally used for building materials, allowing forklift loading and unloading from the sides, yet providing cover in transit.

    in our India, Flatbed Trailers are more diverse. we use Flatbed Trailers for carrying Shipping Containers, Granite Blocks, Steel Bars etc.

      Every area uses flatbed trailers for all of those purposes.
      There are also dedicated container trailers and container chassis.

    @Truck Tropia, it was nice to see that you actually showed some European trailers, even though it was only a couple, in the past you have done comparison videos of US vs Europe trucks, how about you do a comparison video about US vs Europe trailers, you will see that European trailers are far more advanced than US trailers, the same goes for European trucks.

  • @brianb-p6586
    @brianb-p6586 Před 3 měsíci +1

    Logging trucks and trailers could be an entire video by themselves. The configuration shown is just one of many possible, and they routinely use a pole trailer design that is not usable for most types of cargo.

    Up to 80??? You need to get more info on that

  • @brianb-p6586
    @brianb-p6586 Před 3 měsíci

    Auto haulers ("multi-car trailer") are routinely used to carry up to 9 vehicles in combination with decks on the truck; a trailer carrying 7 normal cars on the trailer would be exceptionally unusual.

  • @brianb-p6586
    @brianb-p6586 Před 3 měsíci +1

    The flat-deck, step-deck, and lowboy or double-drop trailers are terribly described. They should be shown in order, with an explanation that the difference is whether the deck is over the hitch and trailer wheels, or stepped down from the hitch but still over the trailer wheels, or dropped down between both wheels and hitch.

    That multi-car trailer at 4:23 is bizarre... I've never seen a multi-car trailer of any type with only a single axle. I realize this is a European rig, but it can't be common even there.

    Pretty obvious they are reading a script written by someone who doesn't have a lot of experience. I sure the steel hauler would have a problem with someone putting gravel on there covered wagons. I'm sure it could be done but that's not what they're used for. Also a removable goose neck is called an RGN not RNG, removable neck goose? Think they should've caught that in editing.
