Probably a stupid question!! But when you source things that aren’t from goodwill/thrift stores where are you getting them from? Like the sorel boots for example?
How do you keep track of how much you spent on each item? Do you have like a booklet or something? I’d love to know your actual earnings after deducting what you spent on an item :)
She doesn't share her cost of goods, so she clearly wouldn't share her actual earnings. I honestly don't think it even matters. What one person is happy with in terms of net profit might not work for the next. As long as you know how much something sells for, you can figure out for yourself what you'd be willing to pay!

I keep a list in a Word document, but I should probably do a spreadsheet instead 😅I've heard other CZcamsrs say they aim for at least twice their cost of goods, at least $20 profit, that kind of thing, so I think it varies. I personally think doubling is a good baseline to aim for.
I use Google spreadsheets to keep track of everything: inventory input, solds, monthly report, etc., but I'm a bit neurotic with organization lol. I'm sure a lot of higher sellers use bookkeeping software, but ultimately, it's whatever works for you and your business. Same with profits-- some people don't mind a lower ROI, while others prefer to buy/sell what they know will go for a higher amount (less work, more money type of thing).

I came Back to poshmark as eBay is making sellers eat shipping and returns are horrible so I am excited to start selling the clothes that eBay didn’t like.i hope this works better than it did 5 months ago

That depends on the area and store. Lucky you to have that benefit. Where I am, on Sundays the oldest tags are 50% off and on Wednesdays it's 15% discount for seniors (over 55). Not bad but not as good as, say, your area.
