Was looking at these for the side reflectors
I’d say not the best for side display, certainly here in UK they would be illegal if wired up showing red to anywhere but the rear…excellent cheap modification to replace standard rear reflector though 👍🏻

Got any centre stand for your bike?
Thanks Norman, nice cheap modification 👍🏻 I originally fitted a SW Motech centre stand with sump guard but decided to change to a Rally Raid sump guard as it is more robust for off road, but this meant I had to remove the centre stand as the fixing point for RR and centre stand is the same point in the bike! I wanted a centre stand but wanted the RR guard more 😆

Question: What are your thoughts on wiring up as a brake light only (no side light)? I'm a little paranoid about getting rear ended these days, and try to remember to NOT use engine braking when there are vehicles behind me.

You’ll probably get greater impact on braking wit it just being wired as brake light, and I think if you just don’t connect the rear light wire should be good (check when you wire them up) I usually go through Macclesfield when heading into Peaks, will give you a heads up next time 👍🏻
I must admit using engine braking a lot!!!
@@thecampingbiker791 Thanks again, fitted was easy, if a little fiddly. Wired up brake light only. I've now completed all pre-flight checks for a short trip to Cumbria at the weekend 😊

Hi Andrew I was just wondering if you had a link to the LED reflector? I’ve searched ebay but was unable to find the right one. I’m over in Leeds myself and have had the Honda Cb500x since June last year and opted for Givi Monokey top box and panniers, Givi hand guards and Givi Engine crash bars

@@thecampingbiker791 there are lovely roads in dales to ride on. I will order the one on the link you have sent, looks like it’ll take some time to come but it seems simple enough after watching your video. If you have never been I would recommend “squires cafe bar” once everything starts opening back up, great atmosphere for bikers

Enjoying your vids mate looking at getting the little CB as a second bike with a bit more off road bias have you tried yours off road or is it strictly a road bike for you
great little bikes Terry, I've only had mine on gravel tracks and was bit concerned about doing anything off road until I've got it set up for that but gradually getting there and now have Barkbusters handguards fitted....uploading that as we speak! To be honest it will need appropriate tyres for more than gravel, although I do like the stock tyres for gravel and road. My aim is to build this into a bike that's capable of travelling anywhere in the world, bespoke to me, and then when I can will be off travelling so the channel should get really interesting at that point. If you want to just go and play off-road the CRF250L is a far better option and has the correct type of chassis and suspension.

Like you make a whole video without showing the practical stuff? Why didn't you just make a post with insctuctions? The magic would be if you had actually shown the wiring and everything ..
To be honest I didn’t think much about it when fitting..and by the time I had it sorted it was too late 😬 however I’ve changed from the 500X to the NX500 and have another one to fit so this time I’ll film it properly 😊 👍🏻
