I think players in FM are doing some sort of reverse psychology. To them, "No pressure" means "All pressure".
If somebody told me "no pressure" irl, I would immediately assume I should have a reason to feel pressure in the first place, I think that makes sense.
About 8-10 editions ago, concentration was the #1 stat in centre backs for me. 10 concentration was basically a Phil Jones meme player.
As the current manager of the Botswana National Team, the Badboy highlight always makes me sad, as Ditlhokwe is Botswana's best player.

You know your Orlando Pirates thing? yeah. Same thing happened to me in my pentagon challenge. I was with Golden Arrows in South Africa, and won 17 trophies in I think four seasons or something, 2 African Champions Leagues and 3/4 league titles etc.
I then left for China and within two seasons they were RELEGATED! and then the next season they didn't even get back up!!!!!

I left AIK in sweden after winning the league four times and got into the champions league and got a third place in the group and went on to win the Europa league. Then i went to Liverpool and gave won pl 5 times in a row and faced AIK twice in the champions league. They have not tanked without me but continue to dominate (off course, having a 50 000 arena and average 36,000 spectators plus 100s of millions more than the nearest swedish club tend to do that). And i still play fm2012 so guess the tactic that have my forward score 73 goals for Liverpool.
The last meme reminds me of my only central defender getting a Red card in 46th minutę when we were winning 2-0 😂😂

I'm currently managing Deportivo Alavés. It's the end of my second season so it's May 2025 and I have finished 6th on the league table.
If things were like in reality. I would have granted my access to Europa League League Phase through La Liga.
Somehow this is not what's happening.
This is how it looks like at the end of the season:
1. Real Madrid (Champion and access to the first round of the Champions Route of UCL (?????)
2. Barcelona (Classified for Europa Conference League) (???)
3. Atletico Madrid (Classified for Europa Conference League)
4. Real Sociedad (Classified for Europa Conference League)
5. Valencia (Nothing)
6. Alavés (Nothing)
Is this a bug? Needs to be fixed? Or is it how it's going to be from 2024-2025 onwards?
To me this makes no sense, cause it will be so difficult for humble teams to get to Europa.
Anyway, if someone can bring some light to this matter i'll appreciate it.

still trying to win a single thing on fm21. Latest thing the game likes to do to me is score headers from a single set piece in the 90th minute for a few games now.
Did you adjust your set pieces after substitutions. Don't know about FM 21 but in 20 it was a pain to reposition players after substitutions for free kicks corners etc
@pbh81 thanks, i just use a default one but i just get so annoyed when i concede to late goals in the same way. It feels like a cheap win by the game, a cheap way to "beat" your tactics. Its either that or a worldie from the halfway line not them actually breaking down your squad
@@DavidMilesMusic I never saw it as a cheap way to win. More like as you want to progress higher it becomes more about the fine margins. Once sold a top rated DLP with excellent vision, passing and decent tackling playing in front of my two defenders because he wasn't brave enough to tackle in exposed one on one position. Other little things like you could have an excellent defender but has terrible vison and passing is liability
Is 4-4-3 better because you have an extra player? Or is it better because you don't have a useless player hanging around your own goal, contributing nothing to your attack?
