- There are some guilty pleasures in Football Manager. They may not be the smart thing to do, but FM is not ALWAYS about doing the smart thing. Sometimes, you just really need to have Paul Pogba as your assistant manager, for scientific purposes. It is just necessary because it’s much cooler than someone you’ve never heard of.

I did the "hire a famous player as a coach" thing by accident, I needed a new goalkeeping coach and just chose the best option without looking at the name, it was only when I had to confirm the signing and noticed his last name "Mignolet" and I was like, hold on a minute.

In my greatest ever FM save i signed "René Higuita" as a GK coach around the year 2025.
About a decade later i looked over my staff and had a hard think to myself
"Damn, you know that name" - i googled him and realized that my goalkeepers where trained my EL LOCO for the past decade.
I was proud.
Whilst I was laughing at that meme about signing retired players as staff...I was signing David Trezeguet as a scout. Lol.
And he is one of the best scouts in the game

A few years ago i always signed Stéphane Chapuisat (i dont know how famous he is, i know him because he played bundesliga for the entire 90s) because he had high values and a ridiclous amount of "known" countries from South America, over Europe to Africa.
Then from one FM to another (21 to 22 OR 22 to 23) he lost all his knowledge about any country but Switzerland. I imagine he proclaimed to never leave this big rock again haha
The line where it becomes bullying isn't at 6x0. It is at 7x1.
In FM19 I had about 6-7 legendary players as staff. Bergkamp was one of them. Cristiano Ronaldo was my assistant😂.
I would love to see the FM version of Jorge Campos - a former striker and goalkeeper simultaneously, one of the best in both roles. Very eccentric.
I'm pretty sure "striking the corner-flag for a bounce" is a Flair move that was added into FM24. Seen it myself a couple of times from players that liked to do tricks.
Video idea: pick a list of players from clubs around your home area (to keep it simple), and scout them, ranking their skills the same way theyre ranked in FM, and then compare your judgement with what FM gave these players. Bonus points if you can go watch them live during games or training (hence the local only idea), with CZcams highlights or game recordings being a secondary source.

About the one with the 2 very deep shadow strikers, originally they were central midfielders with regular central midfielder roles, then his assistant manager suggested for him to change one of them to a shadow striker and it changed the role but not the position and he did the same thing for the other player as well
The line for bullying is 5 goals in the first half, after that you are allowed a maximum of 2 more if you let the opponent also get one in the second half
Technically the Luan Candido slide was correct. He is under contract with RB Leipzig and just loaned out. So technically he is a player of a German club

I'm the guy made that meme and in my save file, he was at a Brazilian club permanently, no loan. I was very confused but clearly there is some small glitch in my file or the game because he is technically based in Germany in my game while playing for a Brazilian team

First off: I actually worked for a number of years with someone named Loan. So that's been a name for a while now. And with the ref-kit glitch: That just made me think of the Fumble Dimension NBA2K glitch where at the end of the season, no matter what, there would be a player wearing a Detroit Pistons jersey in the trophy ceremony.

To answer the last question as well. That's the pass map, not the average position graph. That's just where your striker is for the majority of the passes he makes.
I remember when I finally found CR7 a few years after he retied at ManUtd. He became manager for Milan almost immediately after they sacked their last manager and he won them a Serie A, Copa Italia, and a Super Copa before being sacked and moving to Leverkeusen, winning a DFB-Pokal and a Supercup but always staying at 2nd place behind Bayern.

I've bought the new FM for the first time since FM20. I was memebly surprised when I saw that in some stadiums, I can still have the floodlights be directly in front of the camera so I don't see the action on the pitch.
I tried approaching Micah Richards when in my save, he was assistant coach for Weymouth. Couldn’t get him though for my crested club, Bloomfield United.

That happened to me with the goalkeeper with 1 on the books mostly as the team i took over had an annual wage budget of £600 and it was full when i got there. I did sign a keeper who wanted £20 an appearance but settled for £1 as it was all i could offer. Would have been better putting a post in goals.

Literary a few hours ago I signed Zlatan for Torino in my journeyman save as the AssMan. His attributes aren’t good enough for the position, but having a former Juve star player in Torino is just too good to pass up.

Theres a player called Bogdan Marian that is natural in RW & Striker, and he is accomplished in GK with a GK rating of 7 but no actual GK attributes
