- Find the top 5 best steel and silver swords in the Witcher 3! It is widely known the Aerondite is the best sword in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Can you name the #2 sword? Aerondite is silver and is no good against humans, non humans, and beasts. The crafted blades can go up to level 100, but the picked up blades are at 98 if the player is at level 100, the maximum level in the game.

#2 The Toussaint Knight's Steel Sword (crafted steel sword) at the northernmost Hanse Base in the elven Arthach Palace Ruins guarded by Antoine Straggen.
#3 Gesheft (crafted silvers sword) is obtained in the werewolf cave north of Basane Farm, an abandoned site with another werewolf.
#4 Ami (silver sword) is obtained from the Shaelmar in the Contract: the Tufo Monster.
#5 The Belhaven Blade (crafted steel sword) is obtained in the Treasure Hunt northeast of the Termes Palace ruins named "Waiting for Goh and Doh".

Those two are the Gesheft (silver) and Vitis (steel) which should not be confused with the crafted Gesheft (#3) which is superior to the willow wisp version.

If you go to your settings, you can turn off automatic sword sheathing/drawing which in turn allows you to use aerondight against humans and beasts. So if you drain the beast/man health by punching or with a steel sword, you could finish them off with aerondight and level it up very easy. This is especially effective in groups of wolves and bandits

can you help me is there any silver sword that has 100% crit dam bonus??
The problem with GM is they are level 40 at first playthrough and the relics are much higher stats especially if picked up later. The highest level quest in BW is like 49 making GM obsolete.I think the armor does no go obsolete as fast as the swords because the % damages on GM gear cannot be beat with higher level armor. I did find a Zireal set in Hearts of Stone better than GM ursine for fights with men.
I’m not aware of one except Aerondight with ten charges.

If you started NG at lvl 58 yes a level 98 GM is hard to beat because it is 2 levels from maximum. On a 1st playthrough a lvl 40 GM sword will be outclassed by a lvl 58 Hen Gaideth Steel Sword or Ami.
Figured out a super-fast way to level Aerondight, got 50 levels in about 5 minutes. Do the unequip steel sword trick, then go back and forth across the threshold of the castle Hanse base. 3-4 dogs infinitely spawn each time you cross, perfect number to charge twice each time.
Great advice. I just picked it up early. I think I'm going to start blood and wine over and pick it up much later. Thank you for the advice so I don't have to waste dozens of hrs trying to level it up
Gesheft with critical hit build is the best, you can destroy even novigrad guards at ease

Leveling up Aerondight is easy. Don't put an oil on it and only use fast attack on necrophages or insectoids.
Adam Chainsfadays actually strong attacks get 2 points and fast attacks get one. 5 swings are needed for strong and 10 for fast to earn the tenth charge. I have another video on leveling Aero up quickly. It still can be a chore...
You can use quen with the Aerondight , which gives you a chance to keep your charge as I picked it up at 47. I also leveled it up doing the XP farming with the two nests. I'd level up my sword, my level, collect the goods from the monster nests which the runes and glyphs would build up and get me some mega coin. So I could triple farm in one go. But I do agree getting it at a higher level on the fresh save might be a better idea. But if you're planning on multi-farming anyway, then it might not matter. You can also use it on wolves, but it eats up the repair kits, lol.
After playing through the game a few times I found myself using weapons and armor more because they look cool rather than worrying about defence and damage potential. I did this because getting to the point where I did tons of damage and killed enemies quickly was very boring to me. I enjoy the combat and a challenge so it sucked the fun out just being able to waste people. Also the toussaint sword is super legit but also super ugly lol

if you want a challenge fighting enemies, you can also turn enemy upscaling in options.
That’s the same as me. I always thought that the original armour is by far the best looking. So I pretty much used that my whole play through till I was able to get the viper version of it.
Matthew Ali - the Witcher Viper armor Gear from hearts of stone is Very Similar to the starting armor, plus i added a high resolution texture mod for the Viper set = Looks Tremendous !! 🎮
I just wear ornate robe, new moon trousers and boots and use Iris.
Probably will collect aerondight around the end of the game so I dont have to level it up through ng+ as much got the first geseft atm and the belhaven blade
Iris may not be one of the best swords in the best but it looks cool I love it and it does extreme damage haven’t changed swords since I got it and I’m still killing enemies somewhat easily

Just did the Wine is Sacred quest on my first playthrough, looted the bandit cart, and did not find 2-slotted Ami, found a TKSS (master item quality) in the cart instead. Did I miss something? Helpful video btw! literally made a list with the swords mentioned here lol

HELP I Made feline enhanced steel sword and had no idea it would build upon my feline . So now I'm 20 with no steel sword till I'm 23 to use the feline . Where can I get a steel sword for my leg till 23

I do the Ursine, Feline, and Griffin quests for swords when playing through so I can upgrade swords more frequently.

I just want to get this right. You don't pick up the recipe until you are level 100? You don't pick up the sword until you are level 100? Something about level 61 to start NG+? I have just been playing the game, not worried about level, but also doing stuff that was difficult for my level like Blood and Wine at level 21ish. I don't want to mess up anything for my NG+, but I don't think my NG+ is that close to starting yet either, but I just want to be sure I don't mess it up.
The concept is that you want to spread out your good swords by level. After you are done upgrading the Witcher swords, then you don’t want all good swords at once because you will only use one or two. The swords video is not so much about NG+. I've gotten like 3 of these swords randomly. I sold them. Should I hate myself. Or was what I picked up like a nerfed sword you randomly get at chests.
Many are diagrams. You have to craft them If you sell one then craft another. The best sword depends on your current level.
If its a random loot it has randomized stats but there are exception like the ami, hen gaith , and many more usualy those relic have fixed stats are the unique one
I found the vitis steel sword and toussaint armor in the blood and wine dlc you have to take Damien option and go to fairytale map and there's a glowing fairy follow it on one the paths not far from grandmas house. My vitality with the perk is almost 10000
100? I dont know why I got only to level 53 at the end when I completed literally all the quests
NG+ will get you to level 100.

Still got the save, got the best weapons and the witcher gear cat, wolf and manticore because its cheap, there is a better armor set then the witcher gear tho, a magical gardsmans set that heals you on the kill.. that freaky one with the mask..
I got the full black set, fucking wicked but it was weak, there is a red one with 299 armor, only found booths and chest piece.
Shame tho, Im playing a fresh start right now, might find it
One benefit of NG+ is you get to keep all your stuff on the second play through.

So what level is recommended for us to get the aerondight sword?
I recommend picking it up and enchanting it before capture the castle in B&W or right before NG+. If you have it for capture the castle you can fight Detlaff with it but you have a lot of leveling up to do prior to starting NG+. There are seven other good swords in the video. You can’t use a silver sword effectively on men and beasts.
All white or all grey grandmaster Ursine is the best

That is typical. The swords will scale to 2 levels below.

24:15 Wrong, you do not have the option to go back to Syanna. At least for me, when i did "Blood Simple" i told the ravens to inform Regis to meet at the docks but then the Syanna / Damien path is no longer available.
I’m sorry. You are incorrect. You can do blood simple but say at the boat you want to do what Regis wants and bypass the unseen elder path and go to the land of 1000 fables. I have played through blood and wine like 5 times. Perhaps you needed to help out Damien before helping Orianna.
@@LinusWilson Oh i see. What you meant to explain there is basically to choose "Stay here" instead of "Meet Regis" after you tell the ravens. That way you can bypass his cutscene and go straight to the cave first.
You don’t want to go to the cave, if you want to go down Syanna’s fables path. Meet Regis.

No. Only Witcher swords or Aerondight can be upgraded.

@@gimpyone77 aerondight by killing people at 10 stacks, and witcher weapons by collecting the diagrams and going to a blacksmith, you should watch a video to find the diagram locations, or buy the treasure maps at the right merchants. You can look up the right merchant for every diagram map

If the level is death march you still need 11 hits with 0 damage in a fight sequence. That is not easy. It is hard to do that 5 times per level.

The videos that were made praising Iris were probably recorded before the Blood and Wine DLC. It’s like a level 36 sword compared to 50+. Moreover, it actually harms the user when fully charged. CDPR kind of pranked gamers with that feature. It didn’t hurt Olgierd while he was immortal, but he did not want it once he was. ;)

It’s not forgotten. It’s not very good. These are level 45+ swords. Iris is level 38. Iris also wounds the user. It’s better for the sword racks than actual use. The videos praising Iris were often made before the Blood and Wine DLC.

Yes you can craft or buy it. Just go to the grandmaster Smith in Beauclair it’s expensive.
Would say you want to get the sword before going on rails because Dettlath is a very challenging fight even on easy. Quen is a good thing to use with Arendight as it gives you a shield against damage for one maybe two hits at most.

For armor just get legendary manticore and they add extra 40 toxicity and %60 resistent from monster absoulute
Manticore does not offer much protection but along with GM wolf u can craft it without having done all the upraised to master.
@@LinusWilson manticore is best why? first legendary manticore offers %60 protection(which is decent enough) plus 40 toxicity 40 toxicy may doesnt seem much but you can drink additional 1 or 2 potions thanks to that plus if you use euphoria it add %30 more damage lastly legendary manticore adds %60 critical dmg bonus
which makes you a demi god with my build and if you have toussaint knight steel sword
it doubles your power with 3.6 which is ENORMOUS amount of power but manticore isnt really the best armor to protection but i prefer damage over protection good luck have a nice day
