Greetings, Deborah. I know you posted a year ago. However, the God who loved you last year loves you still today. Remember it is by God's grace alone any of us are saved, lest any man should boast. Although it is good to get off dependant drugs, God loves you even if and when you mess up.. I am praying for you. Hold onto your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through it all .

I recommend a book titled "Saved Without A Doubt" by John McArthur. It's about how to know if you're saved or not.
As an ole hippie who was saved by grace, bands like Petra, Rez Band, and others, helped me bridge the gap between the world and the Lord. I miss the music from those late '60-70's bands. Thanks for sharing.

This is one of the first Christian songs i heard. What a way to begin a life with Christ.
For some reason this song popped into my head. Always loved it, but haven't heard it in probably a decade. So I searched, played it, and just broke down in tears while listening. Now That's power. Thanks and God bless.
My mum used it to calm me during episodes of anxiety attacks as a kid and hell it worked. Great band and great message. ❤️

Whenever I hear this song I am reminded of my brother Kevin who loved the songs of Petra as a young man in the mid 1980s. He was a special person. He went home to be with the Lord five years ago in his mid life years due to illness. Throughout his life he loved this music, the Scriptures, and helping the music ministry in his church. I will see you again, my brother. Pray for me to finish my course faithfully! 😊

Awesome song. I heard this song by Greg X. Volz /Petra way back 1994 during our Bible school time. I was 20 years old now I'm 48. Still serving God as full timer.

Petra made classic albums with two vocalists. "More Power to Ya" and "Beyond Belief" are their strongest albums - with "The Rock Cries Out".
This was a great song to pray to. We had a 90min "prayer tape" with mostly Dallas Holm songs and some Christian Metal Ballads. _More Power To Ya_ and _Judas Kiss_ were the two Petra songs.

I can testify that the Lord Jesus The Most High God is real. I was in the kitchen when I heard the patient I was taking care of asking Jesus what He was doing there. I was his caregiver and we never really clicked. Till this day I remember and know my Father God Jesus the Most High God has my back.

I remember singing this song in one of my worship groups back in the late 80’s. We were called “The Doves.” It was one of the very first time of hearing this group Petra. Who knew I’d end up hearing about them again back in the early 90’s with my ex husband. He Loved this group.

Reminds me of the epistle of Paul to the Romans when he is writing about being a believer, but he keeps doing and saying things that are contradictory to what he knows is pure and just, when he desires to do and say the right thing, but again, what is contrary, and who can rescue him from this body of death? Thanks be to God for our Lord Jesus Christ!! Excellent song for when you feel like you are falling short and letting God down. Jesus strength is sufficient, and people mess up. Just don't give up!
