Jamie Carragher : Say no more
He would play sporadic at Liverpool on a 1 year contract.
He's like: Fine I'll do it myself
Almost like a new signing….
He wasnt no where near good enough, but liverpool where content with mediocrity sadly. Felt sorry for gerrard.. he played with 4 or maybe 5 world class players. I would say 4 alonso, torres, mascerano and suarez.
@@relax9674 Carragher was a great player. What are you talking about. You don't play over 700 Liverpool games and over 500 PL Games and win everything bar the league and get nominated for the Balon d'or and win like 40 England Caps being an average player mate and to top it he's a fantastic fun pundit
Sky, can you please also put Gary in the same set of medical - and compare the result with Jamie's?

It doesn't take much to apply critical thinking to a situation, please try harder.
@Spudman Well if we're just making stuff up then I could say that Trump sacrifices a newborn baby every day. People who dislike him might like to believe that, just as you might like to believe that Biden is on stem cell therapy. Makes sense to film this video at Liverpool FC this season, as their staff aren't exactly rushed off their feet with new signings to give medicals to.

Respect to jamie for willingly going through a medical
This video would have been infinitely more interesting if they compared Carra to a player, say non-league that was taking the tests at the same time.
What’s the cost of putting a player through a full medical?
Nothing almost. Medicals are carried out by staff on salaries
@@tommears7321 Staff that normally would be performing other duties. To fit in a medical would surely cost time and resources and, therefore, money.
MRIs and anything done by a hospital must have a significant cost from a normal person’s perspective.
@@Erin-bt7re but from what i know in japan, clubs usually already have a season long contract with medical institutions like hospitals and sports medical centers so basically the club pay once for every season regardless of how many new players signing or even current players that needs to do some medicals.

What a signing !! 👏👏
So a club only cares about the players health in relation to the length of the contract they have with them, and doesn't think about their whole career (unless they plan to keep the player for life because theyre so good , which is rare). This is an example of why players have to take care of their own interests and not just comply with whatever a club expects of them.
They are doing it. There is way too much player power. Look how player power destroyed the nba for example. Since lebron changed the player owner dynamic, the nba sucks for fans. Just check the viewcount over the years and what happend to it.
Players having more of a say sounds nice but destroys competition
@@mathiasjossen2953 Why does the NBA suck for fans?? Im curious to hear your reasoning behind that statement.
@@kadirpaulo1089 well not as competitiv anymore. Their viewership is less than half since that development.
Superteams and stuff.
But with everything i am sure u can also arguee the opposite pretty easy😂
But football is different ( more of a team game). In basketball psg would be unbeatable, in football i am pretty sure they wont win the ucl
@@mathiasjossen2953 from what I've heard the NBA being less competetive (if that's true) may have something to do with the whole model of the NBA rather than just player power
@@mhtbfecsq1 the model secures competivness. But it stops working as soon as players make their own decitions. Free agents and stuff. The checks and balances stop working. It was the same when arab and jewish owners entered into football.

Great piece , thanks, Jamie is a very fit and a good sport for participating 👍
Watching this the fifa game could be so much more dynamic 🙈, for manager mode they can add different doctors that help us determine form and longevity. This way we know when to sell them and how long a contract can be.

Since there are quite a few Covid recovered players, did any medical procedures change?
probably not because they did mention doing a cardio test and everything else from head to toe as the standard procedure, but the results will be put into context like the physio mentioned
