Pros of car
1. Looks
2. Interior
3. No noise engine : best part of it
4. Smooth to drive
5. Good for people who have low driving requirements less than 1000km per month.
6. Low maintenance
While buying it for my parents have compared with Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor, Volkswagen Ameo, Volkswagen Polo, Skoda Rapid.
Almost looked into each available option in that range but Finally we took nios.
Reason for nios
1. Value for money (2nd model)
2. Hyundai brand value
3. Hyundai service
4. Bad reviews by users of other cars like Tiago etc that were in similar price range
As a owner of i10 grand nios I felt it was a best choice buying brand new Hyundai i10 grand nios because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. It has good quality speakers and awesome AVN system and also value for money package.
I currently own nios AMT petrol Asta. It is meant for calm and relaxed driving. Talking about highways, You can cruise in triple digit speeds effortlessly if driven on a plain straight or slightly Downhill highway and this is my personal experience after taking it to a few no of highways but a very important message if there is slightly uphill wide highway with full passenger and luggage load it struggles initially but as I said earlier it is not meant for spirited or performance oriented driver and hence you should give it's own sweet time to reach speeds.
At last I conclude with my honest opinion after using it for 3 months.
1. It has very comfortable back seat space.
2. it really has good interesting and attractive interiors.
3. it has a got good list of features and also some segment first.
4. As a Hyundai product, it is very refined and smooth engine.
5.has got a good city performance and yes it can be use for short commute on highways(100-200 kms).
6. It's a overall package and ticks all the right boxes as a mid family hatch

Except the back tail lamp, it looks really really really pathetic and outdated.. looks like Ford Figo's / Tiago's taillamp 🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️😭😭😭

And the head rest are fixed at the front..that spoils the comfort and looks☹👎
Even the newly launched *Hyundai VENU's* tail lamp looks classy and premium 👐🏻👐🏻👐🏻

Back seat inclination is good for long drive? I read in some reviews that it is not good. Planning to buy a car, short.listed.nios.and tigor, which one is good? I did test drive both, i liked tigor, but doubt on its engine life

I feel it's a city car with some bit of highroad becuase when Hormazd says you have to pull and pull to get the juice out in the highway it will be good in mileage smart looking car

@@Varun_Vidyalink lmfaooooo🤣🤣..Did u ever press the body panels of swift? It's actually matchbox on wheels. Nios is wayyyyyy ahead of swift interms of quality and ambience. Agree it hasn't that agility and sharp handling of Swift but it trumps over swift on almost every adpects. Be it features,quality, engines or road presence. Most importantly no cost-cutting measures.

Always nice to have a mature and experienced reviewer return in more recent reviews. Hormazd, hoping that i have got the spelling right is as always pleasant to listen to and very nicely summarizes the cars thoughtfully.
Excellent review. Hormazd Sorabjee has always done justice because of his integrity. But, all these car reviews have been done in smooth road of plain areas and the verdicts invariably go wrong in hilly pot hole roads. For a change test drive them in bumpy hilly roads and there a real good stuff will be known easily.

@@shahaanmohsin2148 No. Front seats are like that. Top variant gets adjustable headrests in the back, but the front seats are the same. I think it's more of a design choice.

Missing adjustable headrest at front, seatbelt height adjustment, ORVM welcome function, one touch up-and-down driver side window, tweeters in the sound department etc etc

Sorabjee Sir when I asked for this particular colour the crew members simply refused to give me as this particular colour got off from the production line since 2020 and then my consultant suggested me to go for the Teal colour which later on become the prime colour upfrontly from the line up and today is the day when I rewind my delivery day I just give a wowwwww ❤️🌹🌹❤️

Yes..Figo is the underrated one with less marketing strategies & service points from Ford
Figo also backs with many more issues
Firstly SERVICE COST IS HIGH ( compared to competition )
Looks a bit outdated
Ford service network is very poor
Showrooms aren't available in many of places
Has less space in interior
Less fuel efficient
Misses on a ton of features
Isn't as fun to drive as swift
Not a practical car
And the last but not the least Rattles and quality of materials are very poor..also aggressive pricing..
I agree its a good car ....but even u know and i know that swift is a better package thats why more than 1.8 Million people have bought it till date

Their sales aren't that great simply because they don't have the kind of reach across the country like suzuki. Maruti car sells because of hasse free and timely service and fuel economy. Drive the freestyle and you will inevitably smile.

100% true. I never leave it in auto. I turn on the lights when I want. Never felt the need of auto headlamps.

Tata Tiago XZA owner here. Inspite of Tata's strong build quality, it has major flaws. For instance the gearbox is worst I've ever driven in an automatic car and mileage in city is poor (10 kmpl). So instead of boosting patriotism by buying Indian cars. Why can't we buy a car which has good value for money?

We also searching for a second hand hyundai car. But it's not happening. I told to my father to buy i10 or eon atleast. I pray to God for fulfil my desire 🥺🥺. I want grand i10, as it is very expensive, so it's not possible to get it. It's best for middle famiy. But due to financial problems it's not possible to buy grand i10😢😢. On practical and day to day use you will get around 14 to 15 in the city and around 18 on the highway.
Honestly best option for Indian roads and zipping through Indian traffic, I used to drive a grand i10 Petrol AT for some time it was very nippy, I like it so much used to avoid my skoda rapid to travel around town, I may check out the Nios. you should never rev the hyundai engines specially the petrol ones you loose a lot of fuel

You want greater value for money, take the swift. If you want a safer car that isn't a cardboard box that crumbles when a pebble is thrown at it, take the Hyundai, because the swift in the market currently got 2 stars and is not safe but the Nios's platform is pretty sturdy and safe.
