I am driving Nios Sportz automatic since last 6 months and drove more than 6000 KM. Value for money car , great driving experience especially in city . This is my first car and I am completely happy with it.
What's the mileage?
I heartily appreciate the mention of the crash test ratings. I feel it's necessary to talk about this in every review.

Seriously, selling a car with no safety rating should not be legal in India

As a owner of i10 grand nios I felt it was a best choice buying brand new Hyundai i10 grand nios because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. It has good quality speakers and awesome AVN system and also value for money package.
Kudos for mentioning the crash test facts at 5:10
As most of the top automotive channels miss (biased or not) to state this fact in the reviews!
And going by santro's results, not too much hope with the NIOS either

Only 1 thing i didnt like about the Grand i10 nios and that is front integrated headrest.. they should have given adjustable.
I have been driving a NIOS sportz AMT petrol since past 4 months. I chose it over the swift because of many reasons.
1) black interiors and smaller rear windows felt claustrophobic in the swift for rear passengers. NIOS felt a lot spacious.
2) Better interior build quality. overall build feels a lot more sturdier than a swift.
3) more features in NIOS than swift at any price point. More value for money.
4) stiffer ride on swift while NIOS has a softer suspension.
5) AMT is a lot refined on NIOS as you hardly feel any headnods whereas in swift its very evident.
The only advantage swift has imho is that its engine is a bit more responsive than hyundai's petrol version. Better for enthusiast driving.
That's the only reason drive enthusiast with a budget opt Suzuki over Hyundai :)

@@narensir5593 On the highway max i have seen is 21kmpl..but that is rare..average should be around 19. in heavy city traffic you will get about 11-12kmpl.
@@narensir5593 My Nios Sportz gives 18 on highway, 13 in city. Also depends on driving style.
Your decesion may be good but in my opinion swift is better than nios in these spects

Its AMT is also very smooth by far it has best AMT caliberation in all cars under maruti suzuki..neck to neck from nios AMT
Its front seat is better than nios...

Both similarly priced, but don't know why Maruti is not giving good quality interior and built quality. Time for Maruti to provide features...

There is no competition to Nios now...compare the automatics and see Maruti is way too expensive. There is a Gap which Hyundai has silently created by bring in the Nios. A very good move. Compare Nios Sportz Automatic Vs others
There no other challengers for Nios, and I doubt there will be. Nissan, Honda, Ford etc, have failed to bring a customer pocket friendly product...

My family has been faithful to Maruti for more that two decades; stated with 800 then to Esteem and later to Swift. With Hyundai in the market the experience is much better, yes have to sacrifice on the mileage part - the cars are amazing....
With Global Encap ratings on more educated buyers mind, they prefer to settle on a brand with good star rating...
I drove both recently ... interior of i10 is best but driving in swift was fun
Whether Manual or AMT,Hyundai providing more smoothness, better built quality than Marutis

NIOS FOR QUALITY
In Sri Lanka we get the japanese swift with the 1.0 booster jet engine ,6 speed auto , 4 wheel discs and much safety kit incl. Radar Cruise. It's much nicer than any other rival model, especially hyundai.
Driving: Swift
Everything else: Grand i10 Nios.
Reliability,Suzuki engines are far more reliable

When it comes to road judgement and driver visibility which one is better? i10 or swift?
Even though many Indians prefer mileage over performance, Hyundai has provided an option for the enthusiasts with a 1.0 ltr turbo petrol engine even in i10 Nios. I wonder why that engine hasn't been used in this comparo? 1.2 ltr kappa engine is little inferior to what's present in the Swift, but why not test the turbo in this comparo?

After 9 months of ownership of my Gi10 nios .. i feel proud bcz of build quality and premium cabin .. 9 outa 10 for outer build quality cuz i had a minor accdent with scooty in which i appriciated hyundai's quality .. love u hyundai💕💕

Nios is way better in terms of ride comfort n interiors. D only but important down side is d guzzler of n engine at 9 -10 kmpl.

For me its always Swift many reasons for that Service network, reliable, very low cost of maintenance, availability of parts, price of spare parts is low, fun to drive and last but not least brand value of Maruti Suzuki. My experience with Maruti Suzuki is phenomenal I own Swift Dzire VDI (2008) I still have it with me almost 12 years 2,00,300/- Kms still going smooth very happy customer so that's why my pick Maruti Suzuki Swift.
Wait for it to crash, i10 also isn't built as tank, but marutis are worst

The swift gives out a sporty look which is mainly for youth
But on the look of nios it is not sporty as compared to swift
Nios haves a look which is mainly for a family

The grand i10 nios have many segment first features
That is firstly wireless mobile charger, back ac wents, etc
Perfomance is same, comfortability is also same
But another thing is that the nios lacks a adjustable headrest but in swift it haves perfect comfortable headrest
If yor are looking a hatch back which haves a better ground clearance go for nios because nios lies in a tallboy model

Tata Tiago is better than maruti swift and Hyundai nios. Because Tata Tiago has 4 stars rating in global crash test. But swift - 2, nios-not yet. Best build quality, suspension, CSC, cooled glove box, automatic climate control, ABS, EBD, Dual Airbags, Harman connect next infotainment, 6 speakers, automatic orvm, front and back power windows, rear camera, automatic door lock, door lock warning, digital instrument cluster, 6 ways foldable driver seat, etc... And tiago XZ price: Rs. 6.90 lakhs,swift vxi- Rs. 7.20 lakhs. Decide wisely to save your family. Mileage and famous car vs safety and 4 stars global rating strong built car.
Haven't driven nios yet but going through various reviews and impressions, hyundai never fails to amaze you. I would definitely prefer i10 nios over maruti suzuki swift

Grand i10 NIOS. ALLROUNDER.
I prefer nios turbo petrol 🔥 which will smoke swift petrol easily and nios is made of high strength shell it is also safe , spacious cabin and feature loaded for less price 😃. Reasons to buy swift is for large driver seat , falt bottom steering , sport speedo meter . Nios 🤘
Other reasons are easy availability of parts, less maintenance cost, brand value, better resale value, higher mileage, higher pickup at low end, better road presence.. the only two points where hyundai shines is comparatively good build quality (still not like Tata, ford, vw, skoda, Toyota cars), good interior. Now you decide which is better ✌🏼🤞🏼
as an owner of the swift for 5 years and now a owner of grand i10 nios I have to agree, all the points are covered in the comparison. The i10 nios has some drawbacks the rear view mirror is not auto dim which is a huge disadvantage in night , the steering weight is very less at high speeds which scares you on the highway, the infotainment system hangs and keeps disconnecting. I would still say better to go with the swift if you can compromise on the weak body.

Swift's Steering doesn't come to centre after a U-turn... This is what I observed from my test drive. No Reviewer has mentioned this.. GREAT JOB and I appreciate it...

I'm a Swift 2018 owner and honestly the steering in this car a problem. The returnabillity issue is very irritating and risky, this wasn't the case when the car was new though. Infact no other swift review mentioned this either.
Please make comparison with Renault Triber .

I'm driving nios for past 1 year it's really nice car, premium interiors nice built quality reasonable price( 7lac 50 th. for sportz in Oct 1 19) mileage is also nice

Nios with the 1.0 turbo petrol has now completely killed the swift. It will leave it in the dust.
So now, nios is better built, faster, way more feature loaded and has better interiors, and has Hyundai's extensive service network to support it.
Please compare Activa, Access, Ray ZR 125fi
Grand i10 is best due to the new changes inside cabin and disgn out of exterior and safety is best in i10 and the power of the engine it claims 👌
Definetly the Nios. It has better safety, a tad extra features etc.. I don't want a tin can.. But if I had a little bit more cash, I would buy the Elite i20. It is the best premium hatchback i feel...

Altroz is a segment above and competes with i20, baleno , jazz and polo
You will regret when you take your car on highway, it has sluggish engine three cylinder with vibrations and lazy response. It is comparatively on heavier side so not a fun to drive car

Swift might have lost the swiftness but for me it’s still a swift
Yes Swift is still a fun to drive car.
But my pick would be nios as an overall pick.
Nios is lazy in higher gears as compared to Swift which is a enthusiastic car.
But if you compare acceleration to 100.
There is around 0.4 secs difference. Which is not a deal breaker.
In which way the Swift belongs a segment above the Gtand i10 Nios, as claimed the Maruti Suzuki...? They have been claiming the same since a long time...
Interiors and plastic quality -> Nios. Everything else, Swift. It is just better in every other way. Nios still feels like a small car to drive whereas Swift feels more mature and almost a next segment car while driving.

Excellent vehicle
The old Swift cars and Grand i10's had some muscular and cool looks. I enjoyed every ride with my Swift RS.
Now all cars are coming up with different looks (Japanese or Korean style is what I feel) which makes the car look so simple and somewhat a bit dull.
there is common feature , both are 2 star rated in the NCAP Global protection
