I own a Gi10 but still I would say, there was no replacement for Swift's petrol engine and still has the best petrol engine undoubtedly. In rest every parameters Nios is better than the Swift.
My brother is an experience car sales man in Maruti (10 yrs exp) and I have checked with a lot of owners of Swift and Baleno... The common negative feedback is build quality... Even the lightest of the blows can create dents... Now ask yourself, would you like to have a high performing car full of scratches and dents or you would go for a slightly low performing car which can take harder blows? Now when it comes to driving experience the experts can tell easily coz they drive them all but for us we would be driving only one car so we won't feel a thing...
Both cars explained positively. Your analysis for both these cars are perfect and very well presented. Hats of... sir jii. Great work. Hyundai had done great work on interiors and very smooth engine but driving pleasure with good average and reliability remains with Swift.

But i would add, that within city limits, the sportiness of the swift is absolutely useless. Especially when you are stuck in traffic. That's exactly where that cheerful light interior of Hyundai cars comes into play. It keeps you comfortable and relaxed.
i have been driving the Nios petrol manual for the last 1month. getting avg mileage of 17kmpl on city roads. 😎. I haven't had the opportunity to take it for highway ride. basically it all depends on the shifts you make. so the mileage details are not correct.

If Maruti works a little in build quality (Both interior and exterior), nothing can beat it. Atleast they should build a body which can score four star in GNCAP crash test. Both Tata and Maruti are Indian product and we should support them. Engine quality and driving fun of Swift is great.

True but the swift which comes in abroad scores 4 star with safety pack. According to me hearttech platform is not at mistake but safety features which provided from Suzuki for indian market should be blamed!!
The heartech platform is safest platform the swift or any small maruti ever had. People are misled because the body panels are thinner. They PLAY ABSOLUTELY NO ROLE in protecting you in a crash. The heartech platform have better sorted crumple zones and can absorb more impact without passing it on to the cabin. Yes, it's not the safest in its class, but it's still the safest from maruti. And no just because the bumper/body panels are thinner doesn't mean it's not safe. They are merely fitted to the chassis and have no impact absorption ability in any car. If any salesperson showed you the thickness/weight of the bonnet and told you it's safe that's complete bs. Look at the ncap results. The old swift was zero stars. New one have atleast 2 stars. That's way better.

You didn't compare the figo's handling with Swift's. You only compared the figo with fiesta and old gen figo. What i really wanted to know how it fares against swift on terms of ride and handling, cornering stability etc. Albeit hyundai can't be a match in this department. So not even asking about that.
Swift looks very good with that blackened headlamps and that DRLs but that's present only in zxi/zdi plus But lacks in terms of features and safety If they provide better features from atleast vxi model and improve the safety ( which Maruti literally gives a fuck ) it would have been better..
Should I get Wagon R 1.2 VXI (O) + extra Rear camera and infotainment fitting or Grand i10 Nios Sportz for daily commute in congested Bangalore traffic? I prefer manual.

I also live in a hot climate so I prefer the more smaller and more upright windcreen of the swift. I pefer the dashboard of the swift.
