  • Hyundai's best-selling small car makes a grand comeback with more to offer thus naturally, it had to be christened the Grand i10 Nios. Nios means more and Hyundai has ensured that the new-gen Grand i10 doesn't just offer more in dimensions but is also loaded to the gills with premium features and looks, making it punch above its weight. What's not premium is its price tag. Starting at Rs 4.99 lakh, it manages to undercut its competitors but does it pack enough to justify the "Grand" in its moniker? Watch our first drive review to know the answer and leave us your comments with your thoughts about the car. Do remember to subscribe to the channel for more reviews of the latest cars and motorcycles that have hit the market.

      Daily car users mostly use small cars for the comfortable city drive.... Also someone choose a small car as an additional one for rough use along with a SUV or a luxury sedan... Most probably everyone's first choice will be a maruthi suzuki like swift baleno wagonR ...Sales graphs shows the taste of Indians ... It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. It is value for money package.

This figures may improve after the 2nd service of the car. Maintenance is less compared to Maruti Suzuki Swift and many other cars. It has best built quality in its segment. The AVN system is very touch responsive. The consists of arkamys premium speakers. The speakers are having good amount of bass and trebles range. Am I right in assuming that hatchbacks and even compact sedans make more sense than compact SUVs? Compact SUVs aren't that capable for the premium price they ask over the hatchs. For eg I have been driving my aspire over some of the worst roads imaginable and it hasn't let me down. With a little concentration it gets the job done. I am not sure if brezza would have done any better as it doesn't feel as an hardcore off roader. Plus the body roll factor and higher centre of weight in compact SUVs worry me. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    The best car there is. I’ve had the grand i10 for over 3 yrs and upto 40k kms now. Low maintenance. Infact I know get my car serviced from Bosch service Centers, and oil changes from Shell pumps. I DIY most basic maintaining myself. My Mods include Philips Extreme Vision+ 60/55 Stock replacement bulb, TVS Airhorns, Leather Floor lamination and 3D mats with ambient lighting, K&N air filter with CATBack freeflow exhaust from Automech Engineers. I run 15W40 semi synth Shell oil. Couldn’t get iridiums for the Kappa Block. The only grudge is the 165/65 R14 tires which I will upsize to 175/65 R14. Rest all the car is much better sans airbags and abs but had push button start/stop and steering mounted audio control and the biggest advantage of rear AC vent. For those complaining about fixed headrest it’s actually just perfect for people upto 6 feet in height. The headrest is small and gives a feeling of higher roofline between the gap. Check a Dzire, Swift or Brezza to see what I mean. It feels claustrophobic in the rear behind the ugly humongous headrests of Maruti and the passengers can’t get a clear view of the road. All passengers can talk comfortably rather than having to poke themselves between the 2 front seats. The all back interiors of swift make the car look even smaller from inside

    Facelift Figo with 1.2L dragon, 3 MIL is a beast in performance and handling when compared to Gi10N n Swift. Gi10N is class leading with feature set and Swift has Pros of both worlds. I have freeflow exhaust and I’m enjoying. Lots of highway and city drives. Service cost is low and that’s good no? So what negatives actually are you talking about? To answer your question powerdrift. Yes small cars does make sense. Not everyone can afford SUV's and i believe that there might be a demand for those small cars in the world. With regards to the grand i10 Nios. In my eyes it looks pleasant and there are notable changes about the place. Not to mention the equipment levels does look generous for a small car. Will love to give this car a test drive so as to compare to my current car the Suzuki Swift which I love soo much. From the looks of interior space there seems to be a bit more than the swift. However when it comes to driving I prefer an engaging drive. The swift delivers this flowlessly and manages to make me smile. Can the G i10 Nios do that maybe not as much as the Swift but not a bad car.

    We can see, now a days companies are reducing body weight of cars fir fuel efficiency and performance. The reviewer also thinking that as an advantage because of improved fuel efficiency and performance. Is it because they are thinking that indian are only concerned about fuel efficiency not about safety?
    This tendency we can see in all manufactures like hyundai, maruti. Example, The best car swift, wagonR, Grand i10, etc. (If you have ever in a old swift and new swift you will definitely feel changes in body weight, the new swift doesn't have stability in high speed, flying like a bird, but older one was just superb). Without sufficient body weight, the safety features like ebd, air bags will not help in any situations. The accident histories proven this. We can see that the manufacturer including basic safety like EBD, airbags as standard in all variants, they shoukd also consider the body weight, i would say.....
    Becuase most of the hatchbacks in india are failed crash test which is a fact and still peoples are buying those cars, wondered that peoples are not concerned about safety, only concerned about mileage. I think this data, forcing the manufactures to reduce the body weight for better fuel efficiency. Fuel efficiency is big matter, but i would say value of our life is more than that...

      @AneeshKorrde Před 4 lety +1

      Aditya Chowdhary I have a grand i10 it’s not needed as the head rest is perfect for my frame at 5.9 feet. Also the rear seat passengers can see the road and not feel claustrophobic behind the big ugly headrest of Maruti and actually gives feeling of higher headroom.. check a Swift or Dzire for space between Roof and Headrest and you will get my point.
