I absolutely lost my mind when you started painting the curtains... so simple my wittle mini painter brain couldn't handle something that simple but effective. Great diorama and way to share your work.
The case turned out great, but can you teach that cleanup technique where the mess just disappears? Might come in handy.

EDIT: Cobalt Keep is AMAZING! Turns out it was a billing issue with shipping provided. They worked with me to resolve it and I am a happy customer again! Hopefully future orders into Canada will be much better for everyone!

Awesome Video! I was blown away by the painting of the curtains. I saw these awesome Cobalt Keep Display cases and decided to order a set of 6 singles for a project I have been working on. BUYER BEWARE! If you live in Canada, the shipping + Tariffs will be more expensive than whatever you order! Like, almost twice as expensive! DON'T ORDER FROM COBALT KEEP INTERNATIONALLY!

As someone who works for walgreens photo, a picture of a brick wall with a drape is definitely one of the least weird things I've seen in my time there.
you're an excellent cobalt keep brand ambassador. Just bought a 4-pack of the cases for my nighthaunt using your discount code. I've been looking for something like this for months now. I was going to just grab some sheet metal and stick it in some of the stackable plastic bins I bought for my magnetized minis, but these are so much nicer and allow me to actually display my army at home. Even better, it's basically the same price as doing the DIY solution. Really looking forward to getting mine. I hope they make bigger ones soon so that I can store like a whole army in one :P

i have plans to do a pirate ship and a viking long boat out of popsicle sticks. definitely a fun and different project than your typical mini project. it is a daunting task because of the size and detail of the ships. but the excitement and accomplishment i will feel once i finish the is whats keeping me going.
That is so awesome! I would love to have all my minis displayed like that in various sized boxes, each with their unique backdrop.

A good idea might be to 3d print some props to add to it, sand bags, ropes, costume trunk, etc.

Malifaux is, by far, more strategic than big army games where every unit can essentially move or shoot. Each model has abilities which affect how things play and individual models interact with terrain in ways that large squads cabinet
That is an excellent case idea
a useful tip for gluing down larger things. use nonstick baking paper as an inbetween later that you put down ontop of the glue and slowly remove from under the thing you are gluing once you have lined up the thing you are gluing

One way to improve this in my opinion is to stagger the floor boards. If you look at actual flooring - every next row of boards is usually staggered my 1/3 or 1/2 of the board length. This is actually done for structural stability, because otherwise you get a weakness like at the end of the board.

I hope you the best. Most 40k players can’t play malifaux. It’s way too big brain for them.
It is one of the best games and needs a lot more game strategy. There aren’t really “net lists”. You will need multiple crews because few crews can be take all comers (no crew really).
I would love to see more malifaux content. And I am totally buying some of these cases. Only wish I had seen it when I could support you with the code.
I'd use the warped sticks to make loose floorboards.
Note to self, next paycheck buy these for d&d.
Tips for basing Neverborn? Thinking of getting the Pandora box and I'm having difficulty deciding on a basing scheme for display. Part of me wants a wet cobblestone street for the kind of "Jack the ripper" my usual cobblestone method doesn't work for the inset Malifaux bases.
Love the cases, its exactly what I didn't know I wanted. Shame the free shipping is only in the US though!

It turned out great although I would have simply used wood varnish on the chopsticks layered with paint in the middle and called it a day and probably used some real fabric for the curtains. Probably because I prefer doing diaramas to display than display cases

Does the magnetization still work satisfactorily after adding the separation of the wood sticks? I was thinking there was no other choice than to use a printed texture or something for the floor to allow the magnets to still work well, but you went and added the wooden sticks, so i wonder if that still works
