    Well, i am a big fan of books and films, but i'd really like to See new adaption with much more content, which was cut in the films. With characters like Ron or Ginny not being robbed From their personalities and relationships presented in much more precise way.

    I know this won't happen, but I heard WB wanted to make more projects in this universe aside from the reboot, so, I thought of a companion spin-off for each season in order to expand the universe in a more meaningful way. It's not perfect but I came up with: year 1, Nicolas Flamel and Beauxbatons; year 2, Founders; year 3, Marauders; year 4, Grindelwald and Durmstrang; year 5, House of Black and Ministry/Azkaban origins (emphasis on generations, geneology); year 6, Tom Riddle; year 7, Dumbledore's life story.
    I feel like this covers most of the locations/events mentioned in the books and each is relevant to their own season.

    This is clearly a money grab, if the executives actually cared about the franchise we would get a founders story, the first magic war or anything that is not directly related to harry

    If they stick to the books and don't add political views of the show writers it will be great. Doing a less abridged version of the books is a good plan if they stick to the books.

      All stories have political and social commentary. It's stupid to complain about that.

    • @markfields5214
      @markfields5214 Před 6 měsíci +2

      @ShadowSonic2 Yes, but the level of the commentary matters. The HP books have major conservative themes, but they're done in a way that a lot of people over look it. They're kept in the background and should be the same in the new shows.

      I'd honestly prefer if they took liberties and made the source material better because it can be in many ways.@@markfields5214

      Did we read the same books?

    • @markfields5214
      @markfields5214 Před 5 měsíci

      @user-lq7nb1kt5y it's all there. Anti big government, the Ministry of Magic are usless and keep getting in the way of the smaller government, Hogwarts School. The books promote self-defense and the right to bare arms. They give the equivalent of guns to six graders and train them to use them. Also, everyone sixth grade and up are armed and prepared to defend themselves. Don't forget that the heroes are part of a militia group called the Order of the Phenix that ends up fighting the government when it becomes tyrannical, the reason for our 2nd Amendment. It's all there in the pages. I can go on but that's the high lights.

    The movies couldn’t do what a show could do, and a lot of people dislike how far the movies were off from the books.

  • @TheRedcat14
    @TheRedcat14 Před 6 měsíci +3

    You say it like the movies aren’t littered with problems though. Like Order of the Phoenix left so many things out that the plot of the movie itself is very jarring. You named like three things yourself (from the books that were left out) that you would have liked to see… yet you don’t want them to make more? You can’t have your cake and eat it.
    Idk, this just screams “I’m nostalgic and unwilling to change” to me

    • @ShadowSonic2
      @ShadowSonic2 Před 6 měsíci +1

      And also, the books themselves have problems too that could be fixed in adaptation.

    I was hoping with this reboot we would get episodes focussing on different characters of whats happening. Like imagine we get an episode of Voldemort and Barty Crouch Jr. planning to kidnap Moody and be an imposter. I know it was a big reveal in the books, but what if we got the insider knowledge this time to give more meanings to these things.

    Id like to have a show that gives way more attention to the books. There are so many great storylines or chracters that were left out in the movies.

  • @coolbrotherf127
    @coolbrotherf127 Před 6 měsíci

    If they just focus on capturing the core themes of the books then it should be fine. Adaptations can go so wrong when the writers and/or directors don't understand or don't care what made the original story resonate so much with audiences and try to make their own story with the characters. That happened with those Hobbit movies, the Rings of Power Amazon series, and that weird Halo show which completely ignored so much of what makes the story and characters good.

    If they learn from marvels mistakes and accomplishments then they will do good. If it's done right and more book accurate then it will be Harry Potter for adults while the of movies will be for kids/ introduction to franchise. If they don't go woke or get greedy it could be beautiful.

    I heartily disagree with you. Ofc WB thinks they’ll make money that’s the point of business. As long as they don’t ruin the story and writing with agenda the way Disney did to Star Wars, then the show will be good and the fans will be happy to have more content.

      These are the same people that made the new Matrix movie, which was an absolute shit show. They've already shown they put money and agendas over substance and creativity.
