    I have the same one. I had to install a sub panel and swap it to 220v. Now it's a beast!

    Thanks so much for your honesty and I appreciate your opinion. I've been looking at the newer version F2.

      I thought that's what I was getting and should've returned this one when I opened the box. But here we are. It's a good saw. Thanks for commenting!

    Thanks for the dust collection tips for the saw, especially the hose diameter inside the cabinet.

    I do not have the space for the F2 (my shop is smaller than yours!), so I bought the Fusion 1... running on 220V. I am so happy with it.

      Did you rewire it to 220 or did it come like that? I'm considering wiring mine from 110 to 220, it has the option. I have been getting bogged down on it lately while ripping pine and okume even with a new blade.

      @@burnstockwoodworking I bought the conversion kit at the same time as the saw.
      pretty easy to do...
      I actually kept the 110V switch and I am using it for my router table.

    The clamp racks I prefer are the ones similar to Brad/FixThisBuildThat style. I made the one from Craftsman’s Legacy. I liked the angles and dimensions of his. He has very short video of it at 2x speed.
    I like the individual holder for F-style clamps but that is only eight clamps wide with a upper and lower rail. Less then two feet wide.

    Did you figure the dust collection issue?

    I currently have the “R” type saw you speak of. It is 24 years old and I’m obviously looking into the Laguna Fusion, you mentioned the Incra. I have the full fence with the router attachments. My question….. will the Incra rails attach to this saw? Any thoughts on that? TY.

    That is the saw I was planning to upgrade to. Will I ???? Probably.

    • @burnstockwoodworking

      It's a good saw! Let me know what you decide, the newer model may have better dust collection. The built in angle gauge is nice on that one too.

    I'm leaning towards this saw or the Oliver 10040. I think they really look like the same saw (same mfgr?). Anyway, the SawStop equivalent runs almost $3K. The money saved from buying this saw could be put towards extra tools for the saw itself. That's kind of how I am justifying it. The fence issue does scare me a bit though. I don't know if the "newer" version with the DRO has an improved fence, but I am hoping so. They also don't seem to be selling the 220V kit at the moment for the F2. Maybe there is a supply chain issue or they just want to force you to upgrade to the F3.

      Shop nation had the newer model and did a review on it. Same fence issue, just fyi

      Well, I took the plunge and got it set up last week. It really is a pretty sweet machine. Do you have a recommendation for a dado stack for this saw?

    • @burnstockwoodworking
      @burnstockwoodworking  Před rokem +1

      @@crchrdsn awesome and congrats! I have no recommendations regarding dado stacks as I've only ever used the one I bought from home depot. I have no complaints about it at all though. I use the Diablo dado stacks

    You lost me before you even got started. Too much goofyness.

  • @CraigularjJoeWoodworks

    I did not know the f2 had a stepped down connection inside the cabinet. You must have been disappointed to open it up and find that…

    • @burnstockwoodworking
      @burnstockwoodworking  Před rokem

      Very disappointed and I do not see a workaround unless I remove the housing underneath the blade.

      @@burnstockwoodworking totally. A 3d printed solution is needed. I hear a camvac could dramatically effect this problem,they are a well kept secret for the price. If you are interested the CZcams channel for the North American store is “Stockroom supply”. Its about 1000 dollars ( depends on the currency obviously)

    I made the mistake of purchasing a Fusion F1. Disappointing. On the F1 the stamped steel table extensions even after hours, using a 48 inch machined straight edge, cannot be aligned flat. Just like this video. The fence is near useless.
