The real sick thing is that now Elaine is saying it was "so awful" that Amber had to testify in front of cameras about her abuse, and that she fought that... when Amber was literally becoming a domestic violence victim ambassador for the ACLU. She wanted to tell her story as public as possible- just not in front of cameras because she is not that good of an actress.

    13:00 "...my ex-husband."
Even the phrase is still holding on to JD in the possessive case. JD called her 'Miss Heard' throughout his testimony. AH called him "Johnny" and not only that, the way she said it was always protracted, "John-n-y-y," clingy. Her eyes sought him out throughout the case, and he never reciprocated, even after AH's taunting "He CAN'T look at me." And the final punch, that hit as hard as the verdict, I think, is that JD wasn't even in the same country as AH let alone the same courtroom, when AH showed up for the verdict. JD had already moved on. The symbolism of that has to be wounding to a narcissist with severe abandonment issues. Despite repeating how she wanted to "move on with my life", the Washington Post op-ed was entirely a reference to her marriage, and her post-trial statement is more of the same. She doesn;t want to let go of the man who abandoned her - - she can't let him go precisely BECAUSE he abandoned her.
So her post-trial statement still defines JD in relation to HER as "my ex-husband." You can expect a lot more holding-on statements to come, possibly COURTING another defamation case by flirting with danger in castigating him in any periodical that will take the risk. Elaine's agency in post-trial talk shows are holding on to 'Mr Depp' on AH's behalf, enabling her dependency issues like an alcoholic's spouse or a pimp to a druggie. AH might not be able to act again, but she can still get published, or still get interviewed, perhaps thinking, at this stage, what has she got to lose? I predict AH will conduct what amounts to media stalking of JD by repeatedly defaming him to bait him into another case so that she can at least maintain her adversarial relationship with him. If that's all she can have left of him, she'll take it.
JD won;t want to go through all that again, so aside from cease-and-desist orders from his lawyers, which AH will ignore, JD will not take the bait as she continues to call him out. The difference now is, her credibility is shot, and her allegations don;t have the power to damage his career any further.

Even then unless she is criminally charged, indicted, and convicted, under the eyes of the law is not guilty (legally speaking, not layman speaking, I think she likely lied on the stand).
This is a civil court case so she is liable for defamation. The events of this case may be used a evidence in a following proceeding if the prosecutor thinks it is a case worth going for (usually meaning they will win). Plus it only has been a few days since, we shall see if charges are filed and she has to go to criminal court. If it helps, she is being investigated by the Australian government for lying to an official regarding for dogs (but it is messy because Depp protected her then and likely doesn't want to get involved).

Given MeToo jumped on Ambers case as soon as she came out and stood by her baseless claims, this is not a win for them. MeToo fails at a very fundamental level. They are not out there collecting evidence, they are not funding lawyers to support court cases, they don't have any useful contribution other than libel and slander in the media.
Now that AH's case is over (for now) it should be clear why this movement is so wrong. Anyone with a claim gets a bunch of media attention. Whether it is founded or not. And don't get me wrong, I'll trust anyone who tells me they were abused. It's a terrible thing to make up. But I'll wait for a police investigation or court case to act.

The JK Rowling title was the 2020 UK defamation action vs the Sun, where a judge who has a son who works for the Sun's parent company, and who previously worked in the law firm which represented AH, found that AH and her witnesses were overwhelmingly credible (even when pleading guilty to perjury and suborning perjury) while JD and his witnesses (including police officers) were universally non credible ruled against JD, then confirmed he was completely correct in deciding not to permit an appeal.... with no jury, AH as a non-party not subject to any discovery etc.
(Following the verdict and Elaine's continued misstatements of fact and law a direct request to the higher appeals court might be possible in the interest of justice).

BTW, you don’t have to mention someone’s name in order to defame them, simply referencing them or writing something that CLEARLY indicates that you’re talking about them is considered defamation.
If you actually watched the trial, you would’ve known that, the judge said that in the jury instruction.
Also, if you look at the email that was sent to AH by her lawyers (in which AH hires lawyers from ACLU to check her OP-ED before she posts it to basically make sure she doesn’t get sued for defamation from JD), in her original OP-ED that she wrote, there were sentences like : “my ex-husband” and “when I got my TRO”, basically clearly talking about JD, which was later on corrected and removed by her lawyers in the final version of the OP-ED.

If the identity of the person you are defaming can be reasonably arrived at from context clues and details given (either in description, timing, location, or titles) that's enough. It's a lot like violating HIPAA, actually.

Our culture does not protect men that are accused of assaulting a woman, A man accused of this will immediately be thrown under the bus regardless of what his standing was before the accusation, he will lose his job, a portion of his family will disown him, and all but his closest friends will cut ties to him. Just accusing someone of this will immediately have him lose almost everything that he's worked for.

Men are still force to pay for child supper while there in jail for christ sakes and this woman can find any way to earn $250,000 and make forty payments. If she quit fight and wasting money to defend her "right" to commit despicable defamatory slander against another she could pay off the money in less than five years.

I agree. The punitive damages for Johnny Depp was a clear thought by the jurors that they wanted to punish Amber through her pocket since this wasn't a criminal case. It should be criminal what she did to Johnny and his children. His children went through hell bc of what that monster Amber did. His kids would have testified on their dads behalf in this court case but Johnny Depp would not let that happen bc he didn't want to put them through any of this. Johnny didn't want to do this but Amber would not stop. Also lying about donating her divorce settlement to 2 different charities that really pissed me off and she will never take responsibility for that. Also after the jury awarded in Johnny Depps favor she said she was sorry to women who are in abusive relationships that she let them down WTF!!!!!! No JOHNNY Depps win is a huge impact on all women and men who are victims or survivors of domestic violence relationships that they will be taken more seriously. Especially men who are abused.
