Even before it was revealed that Amber Heard was a lying manipulative cunt and everyone had to accept the fact that Johnny Depp was "abusing" Amber Heard I really found it hard to believe Johnny Depp frequently laid his hands on women. From going to childrens hospitals dressed as Jack Sparrow to his numerous roles as a calm laid back funny guy, its kind of hard to fake some genuine character moments in my opinion if you are actually going home and laying your hands on the one person you are supposed to love. I know they are actors and other actors have done horrible things before, but the last person I ever expected to do something bad was the guy who played Willy Wonka if you know what I mean.

At least clowns did their job accordingly than that bozo
I’m actually a lawyer in Fairfax. I work in the same building, but have nothing to do with the trial. My two cents: This looks like a circus to me. You should NEVER object in front of a jury unless the answer to a question will be hugely prejudicial to your client, because endlessly objecting to everything sends the jury an implied message that you are hiding the truth from them.
Objecting to everything diminishes your credibility, and your client’s credibility. It paints you as an obstacle to the truth.
it also makes these lawyers look completely incompetent when objecting while Depp answer his questions. I'm not a lawyer but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise that they're grasping at straws. can't wait till she takes the stand so she can incriminate herself even more.

Having an aggressive lawyer is definitely a strategy but I feel like this one is losing the credibility with the judge and the jury... I can't even.
Aggressive really needs to be paired with 'at least somewhat competent' to work. Being aggressively bad at your job usually fails to impress.

Dear God, that Lawyer is so frustrating. Can't quite tell if he's literally plain bad or actually doing it on purpose to irritate Depp and the court.
He knows that he has no case. So he's heckling Depp, hoping for an angry outburst that he can use to support the "angry, drunkard wife beater" image they've been trying to sell.
Probably both. Amber Heard has been through, I think, 3 legal teams during this whole thing. She wants something, her legal team doesn't get it for her so she fires them and hires another one.
There was one incident where Depp's lawyers and her lawyers signed an agreement on what would and would not be disclosed, she fired that team and hired another one and the new team demanded more information from Depp that was not in the agreement the previous legal team had signed and tried justifying it that the previous agreement did not apply to them because they were not her lawyers at the time it was signed.
Do this a few times and Amber has a legal team who will bend over backwards trying to do everything in their power to enact her will, no matter how stupid it is.
Good lawyers don't want this case because it would damage their reputation, contrary to popular belief lawyers do pass on obvious cases were the client is clearly guilty.
why not both?
So as far as I can find, Rottenborn is actually an incredibly successful attorney with some pretty impressive wins under his belt. I think what we're seeing here is a man who knows he has absolutely nothing to work with and his client is crazy. Even crazier is that he might genuinely pull out a win here.
I haven’t been in a situation like this, but two of my friends have. And them and a lot of other women who have been abused by partners all say that they don’t like talking about the abuse while in the relationship and even after it’s over is because they feel embarrassed for a number of reasons. Embarrassed for being abused, being in the situation to be abused, “letting” it happen, not being able to do anything about it, being stuck in the relationship and so on. They don’t broadcast it like Amber did immediately after it happened. She told Isaac the day after it happened I think? Like, women don’t do that. Men in situations don’t do that. It took Terry Crews yeeeaaaars to talk about his abuse and it take a lot of other people many years to be open about what happened. People who have been in this situation hate Amber because they know she’s lying
On top of that, she’s still abusing him and saying she’s in charge while they’re in court without her even saying anything. She copying everything Johnny is wearing, down to the same tie/bumble bee pin or whatever it was that was on Johnny’s tie. He wore all black, she wore all black. He had a blue tie, she wore a blue tie. That’s an abusive manipulation tactic that is her non-verbally saying she is in control and she’s freakin sick for doing it
Yep hit the nail on the head. She is *ucked up in the head
god has a special place for abusers in hell especially for this bitch
Agreed. Regarding her clothing choices, I feel like that could fit under stalking or surveillance behaviours. It's the same type of thing - remember I am watching you, I am observing you, and I am thinking about you.
The lawyer is acting like he just learned about hearsay and is trying his hardest to object to it as much as possible, even when it's literally not.
It's like when students throw random semi-colons in their papers to look smarter
Yeah; it;s literally as if he was taken off the the street; told they got a job for him; and ; he only found out what it was seconds before he was brought in the courtroom;
The most telling thing to me is how in every piece of testimony, and in every recording, Johnny is desperately trying to get away, trying to leave, trying to avoid conflict, and Amber Heard is getting in his way and INSISTING that they fight it out. That doesn't sound like something a battered victim does with her abuser.
Exactly. She's not a victim - she is textbook BPD and an extreme narcissist. She accused him of everything that she herself did.
@@mdnblues My favourite moment was 2 days ago I think. For a whole week the youtube chat has been spamming that she was trying to imitate his style. To everyone who don't know the context behind the kissing question: She's not actually trying to make Isaac seem like a creep. They were dicussing about what he saw the day after Amber claimed Johnny attacked her. She said he threw a phone at her face so you'd expect bruising on her cheek. She's asking Isaac basically if he noticed any bruising or anything when he did his kiss greeting. He had seen her every day, with and without makeup, etc living at the penthouse(s). Its a very long trial so I don't recall a lot but when she switched to that topic I thought she was attacking his character at first too.
Well, its still pretty stupid, could have asked it directly instead of wasting everyone's time.

It is actually not uncommon. I have personally seen seasoned lawyers end up objecting to their question (or rather the immediate response given to the witness on the stand). This is because in the heat of moment lawyers sometimes slip up and ask an ambiguous question and realize it once it comes out of their mouths (remember they have think about dozens of things at once).
However, though what he did is not incorrect, what the lawyer should done to not make himself look like a fool is motion the court to strike the witnesses answer to the question and allow him to rephrase the question.

@Mike Williams thanks for being the example of the person i was warning them of. Whats so wrong with someone sharing their objective point of view in the comment section of a youtube video man? Artist or not they were just mentioning that detail to further express how they somewhat further understand what a big gesture johnny made to his friend by helping support him in his ART career (we all conciously/subconciously relate personal experience to universal topics to further be able to further understand them, thats just human).
Im just saying, it is a good idea to have a fail safe since art majoring is so chance like when it comes to getting jobs or being successful
Make this into a movie starring Johnny Depp.
“The Oscar goes to Johnny Depp for his portrayal of Johnny Depp in the film Defaming Depp”
I’m sure he would narrate it as well…
And make The Sun pay the production costs.
I think Jack Sparrow should narrate it tbh.
They tried so hard to get that artist to be perceived as a creep and in reality they just made him seem like an amazingly sweet man who just wants peace and healing for everyone.
make it a drinking game, take a shot everytime amber's lawyer says objection
The part when Johnny started his fake casting to bait the kick was beyond hilarious. I don’t think I laughed this hard in weeks.

DYIN BRO DYIN
Clown Court im dying its so funny.
Nailed it! LMAO
Johnny fighting to get these cameras in the court was an excellent idea. The sheer number of eyes on all of this footage and evidence, the number of people hearing every recording and objection, observing the body language of each party, and each party's legal teams will surely reveal the truth; and as this video shows, probably do a better job of it than these legal teams can.
Which to me is the smartest thing he could've done for one reason: Amber's legal team is relying on puff-piece articles that are the DEFINITION of hearsay, leading questions trying to paint Depp in a negative light, and not allowing witnesses to answer questions with full context, whether they are the ones doing the questioning or not.
Depp's legal team lets the evidence speak for itself.
He wasn't always drunk and late to work, he was just getting ready and getting into character for the next jack sparrow scene
I was surprised the judge or defense didn't take this opportunity to clarify "so you're asking depp if you're reading the titles of articles properly. Since this doesn't move the trial forward at all, let's just assume you have the ability to read and move on to the next questions".
hell i never knew it was so easy to be a lawyer.
"Objection hearsay"
😂🤣
Foundation...
Surprised his lawyer hasn't objected to leading the witness tbh...but I guess the less they say the worse her and her lawyers make themselves look lol
@@coltergeistgaming Leading questions are allowed on cross. Right now it is the plaintiff, Johnny Depp, making his case. All those witnesses are called by him and direct examined by his lawyers and they are not allowed to lead the witness by asking questions that suggest the answer. On cross examination, by the defendent's lawyers, Amber Heard's lawyers, leading the witnesses is allowed.
This lawyer was actually worse than the kyle rittenhouse prosecution. THATS a tough one to beat.
but in some ways the prosecutor is worse, because prosecutors actually have authority within the justice system,
the prosecution can always chose to drop a case regardless of what even the LE department brings to them
Here's the thing. I'm fairly certain that Rottenborn is using a strategy to get a rise out of Depp to make him worse and the abuse allegations more credible. It's not working because Johnny is too damn chill, but it's all Rottenborn has to work with.
The prosecutors for Rittenhouse were just morons. That could have been a slam dunk win and they absolutely fucked it.
stay salty kiddo.
Fuck no Binger literally used every dirty trick to get Kyle prosecuted. He is the prime example of how innocent people can get put away by dirty prosecuters.

Correction: These articles are not used to discredit Johnny's character, though it is an understandable assumption without the context. These articles are brought up in the context of "Amber's accusation lead to a flood of defamatory articles which ruined his career, but that is not the case. Look, he had plenty of negative articles written about him before Amber's accusation."
However this inept attorney thinks that the jury is too dumb to know that celebrities get negative articles written about them regularly regardless.
Especially because Johnny Depp has been an actor for more than 35 years - a person who is one of the most famous actors/names of all time, with such a long career and having made over 85 movies, of course he would be getting tabloid hit pieces written about him. Every famous person does. And they're all based on literary nothing.
ah, thank you. somehow i feel like it would be better if he used it to discredit his character 😂either way it's shit lol
it's so stupid! there have always been reports of him drinking and doing drugs etc. he never made it a secret that he uses substances to cope with some of his trauma and negativity from childhood. people didn't think he was a bad person for that, just a human being. the accusations Amber Heard made about him were totally different in nature. also, I have done some research and got to the conclusion that the articles about him being drunk and erratic on set were bullshit. just because you're an alcoholic doesn't mean you're violent. but that is the only argument they have against him, I guess.
The issue at hand is that Depp is suing Heard for defamation. Since Depp is a public figure, he has to prove that the statement is defamatory, meaning that it harms the plaintiff or the plaintiff’s reputation. Johnny Depp's defamation lawsuit stems from Amber Heard's 2018 WaPo opinion piece. So, basically, the lawyer is trying to prove that the WaPo article couldn't have defamed Johnny Depp because Johnny Depp's reputation had already been tarnished, and that's all the lawyer really has to do. It's absurdly difficult to prove defamation as a public figure.
Every celeb has untrue articles written about them, since when is it held against you 🤣
I love when he objects to his own question when he realizes he's getting an answer he didn't want. ITS GOLD! Someone will be using that in classrooms to help others not be like this lawyer. Amazing.
The very end of this video had me dying🤣zack’s hand gesture and walking around all pissed is fricken gold
So true what you said, this devalues women that have actually experienced abuse and she is disgusting for doing this.
As a man, I have been a victim of abuse too and of course the woman became seen as some kind of victim by her close family/new partner.
I’m lucky that my family, mutual friends and even some of her family members knew how she was and supported me.
I can’t imagine what it would be like to go through the same shit I went through, then not be believed afterwards/made out to be the only villain.
It’s such a sad thing that women are instantly believed and men are demonised.
It’s such a fine line, the “believe all women” is touching on a delicate part of this…people should be innocent until proven guilty but yes of course women should be “believed”.
Just not instantly branding the accused guilty, they should be believed as far as having their case heard and prosecuted as all people should have the right to do.
It puzzles me so much how people can just bandwagon immediately, but that’s human nature I guess.
We are tribal by nature and family and friends become our “tribe” and it’s so unfortunate nowadays as it brings in people that shouldn’t be involved via the internet. Perfect strangers are starting to have an impact on peoples lives and with things like this it doesn’t favour the man in most cases.
I hope that this goes well for Johnny as she seems like a complete psycho that needs to be outed for lying about him. I have seen plenty of women that are behind this too and it’s really encouraging.
I disagree, she helped real victims of DV, because a true abuser was openly exposed. Of course we all know it wasn't Johnny.
Depp: Starts to inhale..
AB's lawyer: Hearsay! lack of evidence, compound, asked and answered, lack of relevance.
as i understood compound means that the questioner asked multiple questions at once which may confuse the witness, hence objection compound would be called by the judge? please correct me if i am wrong
You forgot lack of foundation.
@@Sharlidar lol, nah you're probably right. I just tried to think of every "court term" i could for comedic purposes.
Foundation.
@@Sharlidar Not sure if I am reading your message right but no objection get raised by the judge. Let me clarify: If the opposing lawyers do not raise an objection the examination goes on uninterrupted. It does not matter if it is compound, hearsay, relevance, asked and answered, leading or anything. Only when the opposing lawyers raise an objection is when the judge gets to sustain the objection and have the examining lawyer move on. I think the only time I've seen the judge jump in the 3-4 cases I've watched was when there was a possible 5th amendment violation. Which is.. a bit more than a simple objection.

One thing this trial is definitely teaching us Depp is patient as hell.

Your channel was recommended to me this past week because I’ve been watching this trial live every day. Now I’ve been watching your videos even though I already know what happens, because I like your commentary on it and your humor.
Love how that Lawyer was straight up spewing articles of Johnny's career that aren't really fact, most of which use the words "allegedly". But as soon as Johnny quotes from articles and say "allegedly" it's immediately "HEARSAY! HEARSAY!"

He didn't just do this for a random guy. Johnny understands the value of friendship. Something that seems a forgotten thing these days.
Rottenborn is quite the surname. A fitting name to defend heinous people. Truly rotten one might say.
With that kind of name the only two professions are open to him are lawyer and dentist.
The double comedy is that "depp" means idiot. So theres two people with funny names making a comedy skit.
