I did the samething ! But cut out a bigger peice from a Astro at the junkyard to cover my cut out but placed silicone around the cut out before I placed the cover over the hole cut out. Then used 3/8 # 10 sheet metal screws to hold the cover plate down to the floor board, worked and looks professionally done

Get a delphi...same as ac delco. .same product just cheaper better warranty. .made at same factory
