VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 8. 04. 2023
- With Frank Lampard appointed as interim manager until the end of the season, the speculation over who will be the new Chelsea boss is going to be rife until the right man is appointed.
But who is the right man? Is it Julian Naglesmann or Luis Enrique? Or is an outside shout like Ruben Amorim the prime candidate? Along with the managers, there is also a lot of squad issues that will cause the new boss and Todd Boehly a headache in the summer, so who stays and who goes?
Zac, Joe & Dougie attempt the arduous task of fixing Chelsea in one summer - watch to find out their suggestions!

Zacâs transfer fees are hilarious đ
Love the how to fix videos, the how to fix podcasts are my favourite piece of content you guys have ever done
I know right absolutely loved them. They did Man u like 3 times lol.
Thanks man, we'll defo be doing more of them!

@@FootballDaily I canât handle another âhow to fix Chelseaâ vid.. youâre beating a dead horse at this point
Please do more of these! Joe you were hilarious with some of these comments. I would LOVE to see you as John Henry next đ
Weirdly too good at acting like Boehly
[Zac]
If he did it with an American accent it would be perfect đ
Dougie was completely realistic and sensible, whereas Zak was playing FIFA with a financial takeover and his Chelsea fan hat on
Joe was so good in this episode
Lots of similarities between him and Todd!
[Zac]
We need a how to fix spurs, no manager, no sporting director, potentially new owners which seems unlikely now, and potentially no Harry kane. No Harry could be a good thing which could allow us build the squad at the same level. But Harry has carried us for seasons linking play up, goals and assists, passion and energy.
Harry needs to leave for the better of Tottenham, he's got the Tottenham goal scoring record but if you get a new manager in he can rebuild the team with the funds from a kane sale. Who else do they have that could bring in ÂŁ70-90mil. They need 4-5 first team players in
Spurs are unfixable pal theyâll always be Spursy
@@cookerdegree4938 ucl finished always good. Rivals envy our stability
@@eavyeavy2864 I want what youâre smoking pal you havenât even got a manager or technical director đ€Łđ€Ł
I also think Harry Kane leaving could be a better thing than it looks, if we can reinforce defensively and grab a progressive manager like Naggelsman. But that's a huuuge "If", considering Levy will always look for the cheapest option, regardless if they fit the system or are any good, sadly.
can we get a how to fix Spurs next week please? They need about 5 new positions and a new manager. id like to see the video and on Chris's poll the other week it got close in the vote
Fix the ownership first
@@tailswitch it would be 40 minutes of Joe pretending to be Levy and act like heâs listening. Then just doing whatever he wants and buying the cheapest options that donât fit the system
Might need a double episode for that! đ€Ł Sorry, couldn't resist
Fixing Spurs is hopeless. They tried it with José and Conte and failed both times. The aura of the Club ruins any chance of an actually succesful rebuild
I like it! We'll get it in the diary soon!
[Zac]
Zak would sell Kovacic and havertz, and keep Mount and gallagher, holy shit we deserve what we've got
You donât think Havertz should go? Heâs shite!
selling Havertz is definitely the right move. He's a 10 that can't create, a winger who can't beat a player and a striker who can't score.
that said, Mount is kinda in a similar boat - he's not technically and creatively good enough to play in midfield and he isn' a world class winger either. So he should be sold, too
@@bexclue3007 mount and Havertz out, Nkunku and Felix in, massive upgrade, then Gallagher out for Manu Kone

Zak is so deluded, he thinks he'll get millions for every player, no one outside the prem have money, also with his bias oh dear..... If pat was here the goat, he would have been great with Dougie
This is BY FAR one of the most professionally, sensible, clear-headed and most engaging videos you guys have ever done. đ I felt like a fly on the boardroom wall. đ€Żđł
Great video format! Really fun đLooking forward to Joe's impression of Daniel Levy next week đ
39:45 - "You just don't challenge for titles unless you get a 20 goal striker in"
Arsenal are sitting top of the table right now with Martinelli being the top scorer on 13. De Bruyne was Man Citys top scorer in the league last season with 15.
I think it's crazy that Chelsea get let off the way they do with the excuse of not having a striker. Some combination of Havertz, Aubameyang, Pulisic, Sterling, Ziyech, Madueke, Fofana, Mudryk, Broja and Nkunku should be able to put up enough goals between them to be challenging. The players they have at the club right now should be putting up more than 29 league goals, I mean Arsenals front 3 of Martinelli, Jesus and Saka have put up 32 league goals between them and Jesus has missed 3 months of football. I know that we're playing well and you can make the argument that that front 3 is better than anything Chelsea have, sure, but people weren't saying that last season when comparing the squads.
Great Episode. please make more of how to fix with other clubs owners and sports directors :D.
My opinion is that this discussion should include the manager also.
Love it lads ! need more dougie in my life ! Surely Liverpool has to be next !
I really liked this type of topic/video, would love to see more!
Step 1 - hire naglesmann
(There is no step 2)
Ivan Toney, ÂŁ50m max, 15-20 goals minimum every season for 3-4 years is so smart, had the confidence a Chelsea striker needs, would certainly favour staying in London too
Lmao. Toney is an 80m minimum player
Brentford won't want to sell to a mid-table rival.
â@@mac5407 you're forgetting the betting scandal tho unfortunately I can see chelsea or Manchester utd getting him for 30 mil
Mount and Gallagher are by far our biggest selling assets, given the fact their homegrown as well thats a pure profit for FFP. Its crazy to keep them when they dont even fit in our strongest starting XI, Zack is being overly emotional. We will still have more than enough homegrown players to meet the quota too.
yep we only need 4 home grown and we have Broja, RLC, Chalobah, Hall, Humphreys, Webster, amongst others.
Mount is our best creative midfielder, easily in our best XI. Why sell if we could convince him to stay long term?
@@BigBoyDanny123 because he's a squad player for us or a starter for a 10-15th place team. We may be 11th this season, but the ambition is to be back into top 4, and Mount is not a top 4 team starter and straight profit, we have Carney on the bench for 20 million who's better with higher ceiling.
@@BigBoyDanny123 Mount is a good player but easily in our best XI is just inaccurate, we play with a double pivot midfield and mount cant play there so the only position he can compete to start in is on the wing like he did under tuchel or at the 10 in a new formation except we've spent a ton of money in those positions and competition gets even stiffer when Nkunku arrives. I think mount realises all of this which Is why he's not extended his contract, he'd excel under a coach playing a 433 with a high pressing system eg Liverpool tho selling him to them is not ideal
It depends in the formation we use but sell:
Huson-odoi
Auba
Ziyech
RLC
Kovacic/kante
Mount
Ampadu
Cucurella
Mendy
Lukaku
bakayoko
Gallagher
Sterling
Chalobah/koulibaly
Then bring in a striker, cdm, cm/cam, gk. Gk is the least of my worries tho so keeping Mendy for another season is fine.
Lampards first mistake was starting harvetz in the striker position
I think he probably only did that because Aubameyang hasn't played since a 15 min appearance in Feb and didn't want to use him from the start. He should start next week
Szoboszlai would never leave for anything less than his release clause of around âŹ70mil.
Zac talking more like a Chelsea fan than a Chelsea exec. Easy W for Dougie here! Also why not Poch? Has worked with youth - attractive system - worked with lack of transfers and performed at a high level in the PL. Splash the money and turn his head.
It's interesting to note that Enrique's tactics work really well historically when he has good strikers, and often fall flat on their face when they don't.
At Barcelona he had Messi, Neymar and Suarez, an abundance of great shot takers he could play with. But in contrast, Spain in 2022 had no great strikers (Morata was definitely not up to the task), and as a result they were rather slow and clumsy to capitalize on their opportunities, resulting in inevitably becoming passing merchants, always getting closer to the goal and yet never taking the shot.
Hello, long time subscriber and fan of the channel. Just wanted to know if itâs just me or are all your videos a lower volume than every other video on CZcams
Really entertaining video guys. I think a Liverpool version would also bang
Absolutely fantastic video
You guys listened!!!
Jesus, this club is an absolute disaster. The fact thereâs barely a sellable asset in a 33 man squad is embarrassingâŠ
Zac wanting to keep Mount and Gallagher đđđđđ
Can you do this again with Tottenham, think it would be a great video like this one !!
Is the pressure becoming too much in the premier league? I donât think the expectations for every single team have ever been this high. The tensions within the clubs as well are crazy. It seems like the joy in football is being sucked out slowly
I feel like a lot of people don't know Firmino is not renewing his contract and will be a free agent
If Chelsea want a striker to link up play between the midfield and attack, he wouldn't be a bad option. Plus he's got premier league experience
Toney and Alvarez are great shouts, Szolobslai not sure about when we have Havertz and the guys didnt consider the 50 mil on Nkunku. Gallagher can be amazing under Nagelsmann, cant function in an Enrique system at all tho
Love the old school feel more of these please?
Didnt zach said chelsea were gonna win ucl with lampard?
What about moving on Sterling to gain some funds? Seems like we are going into a 2-3 year rejuvenation that doesn't really fit with his trajectory? Opens up for Mudryk to get more game time too. Thoughts?
You guys mentioned it would be tough to negotiate with Benfica for Ramos after having bought Enzo, Szoboszlai and RBL might be a similar issue after the acquisition of Nkunku.
If Real Madrid bin the Don Ancelotti in the summer there's nobody better than him to come in, improve the youngsters and settle the experienced players down and potentially win a trophy or two. Nagglesmann has a lot of adversity surrounding him and Enrique isn't someone that thrills me as a fan because he's been out of club football for so long. Ancelotti would be perfect, and he personally deserves another opportunity to add to his chelsea legacy
I would love Don Carlo back at the Bridge and have him complete the unfinished business he has here
that is IF he wants to come back
Hasnât ancelotti pretty much got the Brazil job?
@@nick_mills not confirmed by any credible sources
@Nick Mills I don't think anything is concrete as of today, but let's be realistic and say real madrid knock us out the UCL I wouldn't be surprised if ancelotti gets asked about returning to the bridge. I think he suits rebuilding clubs rather than international football and 99% of chelsea fans have always had a soft spot for him. He works well with club hierarchies I.e having a DOF, sporting director etc and his record of developing and improving players is incredible. Look at how poor vinicus was prior to ancelotti taking over from Zidane, I honestly don't think there's a better fit for this project short term and long term. Plus it would make a lot of fans very happy which would be a huge win for Todd boehly/clear lake as this season has been disastrous and a lot of us were very unhappy when tuchel was unfairly dismissed
I'm pretty sure a few months ago Ancelotti said in an interview he'll retire after the Madrid job. He didn't say, at the end of this season, he said when his Madrid stint is over, that's gonna be his last job. I don't know what's going on with the Brazil job, he was talking retirement, not last club job.
This was absolute chaos lol
I think the point about Nagelsmann and flexibility is silly, Chelsea need a proper system. When Arteta took over Arsenal, guys like Auba and Tierney were the best players at the club but they didnât suit his system and so had to be sacrificed. Itâs the same with Klopp at Liverpool (Coutinho) for example
Sell- Havertz, Mount, Kovacic, Ziyech, Gallagher, Pulisic, Koulibaly, Kepa (main players with resell value)
Buy- Costa, Mac Allister, Ugarte/Palhinha, Toney/Hojlund
I think Raya is better than Kepa, I just don't know if it's that much of an upgrade.
Can anyone tell me if this is correct? If you sell a player for less than what their remaining amortisation is (lower than their book value). That loss will count towards the premier league spending rules (as they currently stand). So they could take huge loses if they sell lukaku say for ÂŁ20m.
Zak bigging up Gallagher after heâs been on his show for Chelsea TV đ
How would u lineup Chelsea , nkunku on the wing or in behind the striker , where playing mudryk?
Lampard really gave Chelsea that new manager bounceđ„
Super Frank
I donât know why we brought frank lampard back. Even if he wins the ucl it still makes no sense at all, he wasnât good enough for everton.
1. Either Enrique or Mourinho
2. Toney is good but the gambling ban makes him a little iffy... I really like Kolo Muani. Not sure how much he would cost tho.
3. For DM I'd go for Khephren Thuram.
4. And for that creative midfielder, I'd keep Kovacic but play him higher up the field, with less defensive responsibilities. He is very creative, his passing is amazing, i love the way he dribbles past multiple players in like 3 secs. The problem is how deep he is being told to play.
Also Kepa is fine for now, no need to spend on a goalie. Sell Mendy and Bettineli and have some youngster from the youth team be Kepa's second.
Dougie looks like he has to manage a non-league team with some revolutionary tactics after the shoot.
A new FD series? Football Daily managing a side maybe đ
[Zac]
Great vid đ
How to fix is top top tier content
I agree, Goncalo Ramos is the man
Keep in mind that Enrique struggles with low blocks which is what most premier league teams outside the top 6 rely on
Djellab bang on with Kova, last year of contract and only rated by people who donât watch Chelsea regularly. Kante is a potential UCL winner when fit and a legend of the club
Yâall are right cause Kepa has been very good this year
this type of conversation needs to done with 3 chelsea fans,
Would have helped if you had a graphic of what cuts, sales and purchases you had decided upon
It appears later on in the video once all the decisions have been made
[Zac]
Dougie is such a W mans
The 4-3-3 is tough with James + Chilly in the lineup.
Happy Easter Sundayđ
Dougie you legend m8
Dougie looking for a job to ESPN I would say the amount of times he finds a way to bring up Ronaldo to shit on him đ
Love the how to fix
LINE UP TO FIX CHELSEA
Toney/Broja
Mudryk/ Nkunku/ Madueke/
Sterling Chukwuemeka Pulisic
Lavia/ Kante/
Zakaria Enzo
Chilwell/ Badiashile/ Fofana/ James/
Cucurella Colwill Silva Gusto
Sell all those not on the list, honestly Pulisic should go too but I don't know who we bring to replace him, plus keeper situation we might only be able to sort out 24/25 season, but we should sell Mendy while we can
I quite like this, but tbh, as long as Havertz and Koulibaly arent in squad, Im pretty satisfied.
For me, Lavia hasn't done enough yet and for the 60 mill quote (might be 40-50 mill if relegated).
My 3 picks are DM, CM, ST, Ugarte/Palhinha, Mac Allister/Veiga, Toney/Hojlund. Im scared of spending 120 mill on Osimhen, I can't lie.
Also no issues selling Sterling, Pulisic or Cucurella if there's buyers, we have Maatsen coming back at LB, others that can play on the wing, save up the money for the next year or two to buy Kvaratskhelia.
Benching Enzo?
@@granth1238 I doubt we can get rid of Kouli or Cucurella this season or for sure I would want them out now, but even if he is still remaining can't have him over the 4 CB's I have picked, Kai hopefully is gone although he would be good back up in that Cam/Shadow striker position but Chukwuemeka needs game time there next season with Nkunku been the starter, I don't think u have watched enough of Lavia he is a perfect number 6 who is really good in holding onto the ball but there is so much competition to get him but Paulhina is also second option I would pick
@@T1TK1 No play him with Kante, but I put him under Kante cause they both favour that side
@@seananthonisz3618 Ahh okay, looked weird initially.
Watching this makes you realise how screwed Chelsea are đ
Zak is pretty much spot on with everything. Not sure about manager options though. Main thing for me is to use these two months to find the right long term manager, not just pick someone because they're there.
Cheers mate!
[Zac]
Kolo muani as a striker could be worth a shot french international has good link up play.
Onana from Everton if they go down or Alvarez from Ajax.
Keeper Raya from Brentford although I can see a bidding war taking place for him in the summer.
Nkunku can play as the cam or give Kai a chance behind a striker.
Sell some CBS and sign ndicka on a free he has more potential than Trevor and kalidou
Callum Hudson Odoi must be worth 15-20mil as a saleable asset also.
Get rid of between-position players. Chelsea have a bunch of second strikers, and other players who are not strikers, wingers or ACM's, but something inbetween. Jacks of trades are masters of none, go for masters instead, get rid !
Fill every position in a 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 formation.
Go either project or star guide manager.
If project, the player recruitment needs to fit the long term plan, not just everything and everyone !!
Very interesting
Striker: Marcus Thuram
CAM: keep Mount/ play Havertz
CDM: keep Kanté/ Amadou Onana
GK: André Onana
I reckon Ollie Watkins gets Chelsea 15 prem goals a season for under ÂŁ50m
i personally think Enrique is a much better option for chelsea. i do think that Nagelsmann is a better manager but i think in terms of the dressing room and with the board i thik that Nagelsmann will run into a lot of the same issues as potter did.
433:
GK: Kepa, Mendy
RB: James, Gusto
RCB: Fofana, Colwill, Azpilicueta
LCB: Badiashille, Silva, Cucurella
LB: Chilwell, Maatsen
CDM: Kante, Kovacic
RCM: Enzo, Gallagher
LCM: Mount, Chukwuemeka
RW: Havertz, Madueke
LW: Mudryk, Sterling
ST: Nkunku, Fofana
This means that the likes of Koulibaly, Ziyech, Loftus-Cheek, Chalobah, Aubameyang, Pulisic, Broja, Hudson-Odoi, Sarr, Bakayoko, and Lukaku are on all the chopping block
Get a new CDM to replace Kante should he leave, then see if there is a need to immediately replace Kovacic and Mount, whose contracts expire in 2024.
A stopgap keeper would be ideal for Solnina
Gotta do this for Liverpool
Lmao the numbers they came up with were crazy.
Striker wise, I do like the look of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta
chiesa from Juve would be a good shout
Cracking video lads , would love to see one of these for arsenal in preparation for being back in the champions league
Great shout Jack!
[Zac]
Personally, I would also sell kova and go for a free on Tielemans, he would be a pretty good sub for Enzo and could also be interesting to have them both on the field at the same time. Also, you guys forgot about Hudson Odoi, his contract is also expering at the end of next season, and Chelsea might be able to to get 10-13 mill for him. If Mount doesn't sign a new contract. he 100% needs to get sold, szoboszlai is a pretty exciting prospect, but I think Maddison would a perfect fit for this team, although Newcastle seems to have the upper hand on that one. Lastly, instead of Alvarez, I would go for Palhinha since he's Premier League proven.
If it wasn't for the betting charges I'd easily take Toney as our striker
You guys forgot to mention Maatsen as a potential sale candidate, can easily get 30+m from Burnley or any other club
I want Madrid to spank Chelsea 7-0 so that the board doesn't give Clownpard a permanent contract
can you do one of these on Liverpool
Well hiring Lampard isnât going to fix anything! đ
Unless he watches this
I'd like Gregor Kobel as a potential goalkeeping option for Chelsea. Don't think Dortmund will want to sell, but if there's a chance they would that's my number 1 option
Can someone please turn Zacâs microphone up or tell him to to speak up because that was painful!!!
Live footage of Chelsea's meeting room.
I think they should spend about 50 mill on Watkins.. Personally
Personally I think Poch is the best fit for Chelsea, I think the profile of that chelsea squad fits pretty nicely with the spurs squad that made the cl final. Havertz in the deli Ali second striker role (similar role to what he played at Leverkusen) , Sterling in the son role, mudryk in the Lucas moura role, lukaku getting in behind like kane, James as an excellent attacking rb with trippier was and Enzo mopping up midfield like sissoko did
âIn behind like kaneâđđ
lakaka is a bum he doesnt run an sweats after walking
My only concern with him is mentality. I suppose it doesn't help his image that his two biggest jobs were at two of Europe's biggest bottlers but I think it is still a genuine question to be asked of him
Mike Maignan - "He will play for a top club before long..." WHAT IS MILAN THEN? Dougie, I am disappointed đ.
Ethan Ampadu-15m
Ian Maatsen to Burnley for around 25m
Malang Sarr for 10m
Tino ANjorin for 8m
CHO for around 15m
Kovacic for around 50m and keeping Mount unless we sign Felix
Chalobah to Inter milan or serie A for around 30m
Mendy to Ligue 1 for over 10m
I believe chelsea can make sales of over 200m pounds.
Not a Chelsea fan but Ugarte would be quality dm for Chelsea. If it was me iâd get Vlahovic instead of Toney though. Leno might be a good gk choice after the season heâs had as well
Chelsea need, a massive clearout of around 10-15 players, an experienced coach who has a rich history of developing young talent and 3 major signings, a ST, a DM and a competent goalkeeper. My top picks are Toney for ST, Palhinha for DM and Diogo Costa for goalkeeper.
Conor Gallagher can go day 1 of the transfer window 28:18
I would like to pitch in too and recommend Sergio Conceiçao, all heâs managed to achieve with Porto in the last few years with none or just some investment itâs incredible, which is what Chelsea needs right now a manager that will work with what they got which is incredibly talented players in their squad. Heâs also has proved to have the ability to improvise and adjust to different types of tactics and formations when playing in the UCL. Heâs a big caracter in the changing rooms and would most definitely bring some discipline to the team, heâs also great at encouraging the players to big matches!
He's been great this season, I actually think he'd be a better candidate for Tottenham, he competes in the champions league every year with a team weaker than the usual top European clubs, it would be similar at spurs competing with the top clubs in the Prem.
@@AmazinJ89 completely forgot about Spurs, I definitely agree!
i cant stress enough how much i think ivan toney would be an unreal purchase for us in the summer. obvs his ban is an issue but putting that to the side i think the fact he is prem proven and has been since brentford were promoted is perfect. if we could get an oshimen ofc i would love that but its very unrealistic and there is always the doubt of could he do it in the prem.
brentford would be wary of selling to another london club theyâd probably demand ÂŁ80m. + if we get toney and he gets banned for a while itâs a. waste
@@95zakariya_ i agree that his ban is a major factor as he could miss a lot but if that wasnât a factor i think he would be perfect and i think heâd still be way cheaper than an oshimen
Love the boys, but these takes are brutal.
Sellable / release: Mendy, Koulibaly, Cucurella, Ampadu, Bakayoko, Gallagher, Zakaria, Felix, Havertz, Ziyech, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic, Aubameyang, Lukaku, Sarr, Rahman.
