It’s because people got sick of how pretentious they are. Dougie and Pat were insufferable. They got too big for their boots and the result is declining viewership.

But when it comes to real men, sticking to a sinking ship, forever a constant through thick and thin, underrated because they've become part of the furniture, nobody comes close to the legendary Doughies and Tottis of the game.

Sigh I’m so sad about football daily. Its literally been a daily part of my life for so long that I’ve been going through withdrawal from this channel. Started watching at least 7/8years ago? Is this channel even that old? I know things changed and iterated on itself over the time, but I truly love this channel, it’s content and all of the personalities. My life has had so many ups and downs in that time. And football Daily has been there through it all. I truly feel a sense of loss about this show. I will keep a eye on it always but sincerely thank you! To everyone who helped make this channel into something awesome over the years. I will always miss looking up football daily once a day and watching the latest video. Y’all have been a bright spot to my day, for a significant chunk of my life, and I appreciate you all ❤

FD fans, we should really appreciate/focus on the good things while we can. Yeah, we all know the channel will probably be ending soon, but that's just life. To every start there's an end. Let's keep the grief to when these guys actually stop giving us content. The best we can do as a community right now is praise them for putting a massive effort to give us what we love. So to Dougie, Mikey, Henry, Sam and Joe, you're legends. We'll be here for as long as possible.

Football daily can we have an update to what's happening with the channel, missed Monday vibes and continental club, struggling to get presenters on shows, not using usual sets...
Everyone is either retiring or transitioning to doing content solely on Sky Sports. They bought out FD a while ago, just another grassroots channel being ruined basically
I don't think we can really depend on Reece James. A player whos injured 70% of 2 seasons in a row. If we depend on injury prone players like him and Chillwell, it's always a bad idea. The guy who replaces will always think his position is only for time being.
i reckon the rhetoric around jackson has been so unfair, hes been doing decently and wasnt even supposed to be our main striker (or at least carry all the burden of goal scoring) but has had to due to nkunku being out. give him time and he'll be pretty exciting

No, the channel will never be the same, get over yourself. They’re still dropping thoroughly-researched football videos FOR FREE and it’s only Dougs and Mikey working on the channel consistently. Maybe the name needs a rebrand, but I still find these discussions entertaining, whether they’re daily or weekly.
Thought Matisse was excellent btw. Well spoken and great points made. I think guests can really vary the content and offer new dynamics to shows.

I just wanna say I’m sure things are transitioning and it’s hard to see people move on to other things, but I’m not gonna sit here and comment shit like “the channel is dead” or dismiss those currently working hard to put out content for us. Things aren’t exactly the same, but they can’t always stay the same forever. It’s disrespectful to the current staff at FD to say all these crappy things man and I ain’t having it. Much love to FD and I’m staying to go through the moments with y’all. Great video, as a chelsea fan, and I’m excited for the future to come as well! I just hope we don’t lose anymore folks! Dougie, we accepted a bid from Burnley for Maatsen on deadline day but it was the player who rejected the move
While everyone is worried about our left and right back and striker situations Honestly the focus right now should be on having another experienced rotational playmaker on the team like how Trossard is on arsenal. Sometimes I feel that there’s a lack of connection between Chelsea’s attacking and defensive players leaving the weight of the linkup on enzo, sterling and Palmer. Gallagher tries but he’s so limited sometimes especially in tight spaces. The depth of the squad, players coming back from injury, and the summer transfer market will sort out the other squad issues over time but if I were Poch right now I’d be looking for a shifty and scrappy engine to light a fire on the attack because Nkunku is going to be amazing when he comes back but that’s still not enough goal creating depth for a top level side. I’d try to get a player in with the same type of profile as Alex Baena, Robertone, or Franck Honorat to come off the bench, starting every now and then, and just be creative and energetic and uplift the already talented players in the squad

To Fix Chelsea, We need to have
1. Club CEO. not Boehly, a Chelsea CEO.
2. Build The Team AROUND Potchettino, not a specific player as such, I don't think that often ends well for a club nowadays.
3. We need to get Leaders, Reece is a good idea, but having him, Chilwell as leader is not a good look. Potch needs player help in terms of on-field leadership.
4. Slow down on the Red-Bull Project. It's useless to do that when the mother club is failing. We need to fix that.
5. On the field, consider getting more of a cohesive set up, with Palmer being a lot more of the talisman we all see he is.
6. Jackson needs to sit a bit, or atleast we need to be honest about what he can provide now. He's more Demba Ba than Haaland.

Most of our playing issues are in defence imo, not in conceding but in the balance of the team being too back heavy. To solve it, Silva has to go. Holds back our team so much with his lack of running and constant pointing. If he wants to be a coach, there's bare south american teams that would love him as a player manager and where he can actually communicate with the players around him.
Then we get to see the monaco pairing or the left foot pairing at CB and Colwill can find his long penetrative passes he was so known for at Brighton, his angles are too limited at left back to do that.
We need a fullback, preferably a LB. I'd genuinely be fine with letting Reece James sit out until 2025 to let him go through all the physiotherapy and maybe surgeries, maybe some agility training if it meant he came back in a healthy state. It's not like we're going to miss out on a title run or anything without him. Though I know there's a couple good players in the academy who would currently do a better job than Cucurella or Disasi at fullback we should give some games to before spending another 70m on some 5'6 latin kid
Poch also needs to sort out his squad selection. 2 GKs on the bench is sackable. And give the academy players some minutes ffs, they can't be worse than what we have in the 11.
Final thought is to spend your money on buying more clubs for the multi club model thing and instead of having chelsea spend 20m on every brazilian teen who wins a player of the match award, have strasbourg or whatever other club you own buy them. Only those that prove themselves doing that should get to play for chelsea
As an FD fan for the last 8 years is there anyway we can keep the channel alive and with a similar level to where it was 6 months ago like moving the channel over to patreon and we all pay subscriptions.

Thiago was entering senior football when Reece was born, and Reece is the captain of a club which still employs Thiago silva. A 24 year old being THE veteran figure in the locker room shows you the issue. Don’t blame poch, mudryk, Reece, or any of these guys- an off day is bound to happen but they’re trying. I don't think Maatsen should be on the list of January departures, he hasn't gotten a chance to play in the position he thrived in last season ( 4 goals, 6 assists in 39 games) although in the championship. He has the quality, which he showed in pre-season, and if he can be afforded the same freedom chilwell was at the beginning of the season he can thrive especially considering we don't have a fit left-back.

Failing that weeks and months have passed since some members left surely they could have found replacements in that time? I just can't understand it. I am sorry but you cant compare Chelsea's injurys to Spurs and Newcastle. Spurs and Newcastle have been missing 10+ first team players in much smaller squads and have been able to make things work. Chelsea has players that are just underperforming and have been unable to impose themselves onto games. a rough patch is understanable but not lasting an entire year especially given the insame money spent and limited improvement

What is the new football daily then? They can't copyright the idea of talking about a football topic in a pub, and with the subscriber and viewer numbers, there is clearly a marker for it, even if Sky try their best to own the concept?
Hopefully this is just a period of transition and we start to see more new faces soon. Just make sure you pick real football fans not people trying to use football to become famous.
