G3 was great when it first opened, but now they've declined. There's a notable increase in grade 2 and 3 cars that should be grade 4 or 5. Out of the 30+ cars I've bought, 17 had significant issues like gearbox failure or needing new engines, requiring substantial additional investment. While it's still a good auction for prestige cars, I can't recommend them for cars priced at 10k and lower due to the frequency of major problems.
I've switched to Aston Barclay, conveniently located near G3 and BCA.

They have been inviting all the car sale vloggers and getting free marketing. Now ask new trade account applicants for a minimum £500 deposit before they can open an account and that deposit requirement stays till you buy about 6-10 cars. I'll pass @Aston Barclay is much better I believe

Kuga has never had the 1.0 Ecoboost engine, The 1.5 Diesel in a Kuga 3 is a Peugeot DV5 Which is becoming more and more noted for snapping the internal cam to cam chain.
not something I have come across yet but I am sure I will in time, I have been offered some very high mileage fords with the 1.5 in which gives some indication of decent reliability or someone has got deep pockets 😁 they did fit the ecoboost in the lugs I have worked on them but it’s the 1.5 unit, if I mentioned 1.0 that was a error, I doubt it would move with that rubbish unit fitted

Must be getting old, nothing there that I would want to own or drive. Modern cars are such soulless, generic, bits of moulded metal and plastic in a shiny wrapper.

The problem with new cars is that there's so many emissions control devices that when they do go wrong, and they will. It will cost a fortune to fix
That S3 with 113k will be now a money pit. Cheap for a good reason
The 'sweeping' indicators they've coded in and tinted lights say it all

It’s an Audi. That really says a lot. They’re not made as good as people may like to think. Plus, for 80% of its use, it’ll of been driven as hard as the roads would allow it to be driven

I've just unregistered with G3. Cars don't have any form of mechanical reports. I'm surprised to see you at the Tuesday sales also. I'll be sticking with BCA.

cap clean is a trade guide we use to value cars trade value in different grades with cap clean being the highest in clean condition. we also have a retail guide which gives a idea of what potential retail price could be in clean condition
Unbelievable high mileage car's selling well.
if you are buying one privately from auction then it is often better to get a vehicle that has been well used rather than one sitting around doing little.

I think someone wanted the 2014 XF Sport for themself and not to retail at that price. I think your original filming position is the best place for this very good auction. That is a very up market operation, all smart, shirts and ties and very clean building. Do they service the end of the market that suits your needs?

Be worried if you ever see that shape kuga with a 1.0 eco in it. They start with the 1500 petrol and that’s miles better than the phev and fhev they offer!
Also the 1500 diesel are gutless you want the 2.0 eco blue mhev manual. That’s the sweet spot of the range

The only place you'll be running around in will be the Service Desk at the Dealership.
The GTD with 6 owners, why has it passed through so many owners there must be something wrong with it ? The Jags with the 2.0 engines are low because of the known issues and the Audi's with the DSG gearboxes we know why !

On one of your recent videos you had a Picanto "originally had starting issues" I think you said can you tell us what is was & how it was fixed - my 17 plate has recently faile to start not turn engine over nothing then after 3 or 4 attepts bursts into life, for the rest of the day its always 1st time firing - I just had the battery on a smart charger but no different starter motor or immobilisor & why be ok for rst of day - just thought your experience could put some light on matter.....?
crank shaft sensor on ours, very common with poor starting on the 1.0 and older 1.1 engines

Whoever designed their info screen needs a talking to. The price is illegible, and 80% of the screen is a picture of the car that is 5 feet away from it. The entire screen should be just the price in 5 foot digits.

That S3 was heavily modded though, diffuser, spoiler and certainly the exhaust were not standard.
cannot look at retail and expect auction prices to be the same, do not forget auction fees also which will push the prices up.

ex mobility cars are normally well looked after and low mileage also well serviced as it’s all covered by the main agent who supplies the car.

I thought i did well getting a 2013 Fiat 500 Lounge version in Yellow for £3 grand sadly the car dealer never told me the gearbox was bad which cost me £800 to put right as the clutch needed changing too due to gearbox oil wrecking the friction plate , anyway ive got my solicitor involved and will take them to the small claims court which i will win as my mechanic has invoiced the dealer and sent them videos of the damages , I just cant believe in 2024 some dealers think they can get away with selling unroadworthy vehicles to customers not good at all.

I've been to auctions, and yes, some cars appear to go cheaply, but do they go? The auctioneer never says if they met their reserve. You see the same cars again and again on the listings. So, did the ones in this video sell that cheap, or are they relisted in the four auctions a week?

Can't believe people would even consider a high mileage Audi. They are built to last 100k miles, after that you're on borrowed time before a huge repair bill.
My Audi A8 is on 216750 miles and runs like a Swiss watch 👍
Sold my A6 that I used only for work travels. 245,000 miles. Never missed a beat. Advertised it and local guy bought it. That was 3 years ago and he's still driving it. He said he services it each year. It's now sitting at 280,000. No rust and paintwork is perfect. My three brothers and their wives all have Audi. No horror stories whatsoever. Sorry mate I don't agree with your comment. Maybe you've just been unlucky. 😊
I had up until 5 months ago a Audi A2 DIESEL TDi Sport that had just hit 193k when i sold it, my brother in law uses it on a daily basis and it's about to hit 200k, I owned it for 6 year's & it was probably the most reliable car i've ever owned.
i used to drive a old transit 53-55 plates , and the engine go to 450k
