I did some research on the top 25 highest card sales of all-time from modern NBA to vintage baseball. Unfortunately, no non-sports cards made the cut. - Krátké a kreslené filmy

I held a 1952 tops Mickey Mantle card in my hand when I was 12 years old. My friends grandfather had an entire room with glass cases full of rare cards. Sandy Koufax rookie card, 1956 tops Jackie Robinson. I hope his collection fell into good hands after he passed.
So after I published this video I saw that a Luka logo man just sold for 4.6 Million in late February, which should have made it number 2 on this list! Crazy...can’t keep up with these record breaking sales and I’m sure there were other sales I missed. Hopefully you enjoyed the video though.

i just got a 2019 topps holliday box from a card shop..... pulled a vladdy guerrero jr auto patch, and an otani autu... great box.

I'm just thankful that a '52 Mantle is at the top of the list. Vintage belongs at the top.
Agreed. Nothing modern belongs in the top 5 or even 10
My mom was a yankee fan growing up and she said she put her favorite player, Micky Mantle, 1952 card in her bicycle fork so she could sound cool while riding around her neighborhood. For this fact, in 1952 this was very common for kids to use cards from this set for that reason.
A mighty sad valuable lesson to learn these days is that millions of dollars in sports cards being used as clickety clack, clickety clack on bicycle spokes !!!!
I heard those stories as a kid in the 90s and did it with a couple bad cards. It was fun. Turns out I could’ve done it with my “good cards” too given that was the junk wax era

I wish I knew the heritage/history of the Mantle PSA 9. A neighbor of mine who was a dentist in the area had a pristine Mantle #311 for 30 years and he passed a couple years back. I held that card and it was in incredible shape in the biggest slab I've ever seen for a card.

the psa10 gretzky OPC rc is a joke... the right edge is so bad... i dont care if the card stock was shitty.. that card should hace never been graded a 10.. it just shows that people just look at the grade and not the card

Was looking at a Zion Prizm today and the centering was horrible. Mist have caught the grade high as hell because somehow it graded a 10. There were 9's that looked better overall... WTF PSA? That's some sloppy work. I'd be fired quickly of my work was that sh*tty
@@carlgothard9644 Right on Brother! i have a small collection of hockey cards, most are rookies from from 70s to 80s, Gretzky, Lemieux, Roy, Yzerman, Etc... regardless of the grade, i looked at the card itself! Most are BVG (cheaper price tag) and the rest are PSA.. i´m going to sit on these cards for the next 20 years... by that time, i´ll see what i´ll do with them next... one thing is for sure, i´ll never pay premium dollar just because it´s PSA.. Buy the Card, not the GRADE!!

Cool video and great knowledge in these PSA collections. That Uncle Jimmy collection was amazing! I would also add the 2009 Bowman Chrome Red Refractor Auto Mike Trout to your list that sold like for 780,000 I think but maybe that's too low now.

These sound like crazy money but it’s even crazier to think that in 50-100 years these sales could quite possibly seem like chump change.
Yup, most of these were sold on the last month or 2. Crazy to think what the list will look like in just 1 year

Some of these surprised me. If I had that kind of money to burn, I would want one of those awesome vintage cards over any of those moderns (with the exception of the Trout super, since I’m a Trout collector).

Where did you pull your research from? I feel like I saw articles in 2020 of sales over $1 million for plenty of cards not included here
Every time is see the Mantle card I think about Topps clearing out their warehouse and dumping 500 cartons (24 boxes per cartons) on a barge and dumping them in the ocean. Sad.
So, Joe how many of these were yours? You know I bought some of those Uncle Jimmy cards from Wheatland. Oh, wait, but not any of the Ruths. I was just outbid for those. Thanks for the video.
A SGC 9.5 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle sold in July of 2022 for $12.6 million. One day, a PSA 10 will get sold, and it will be a $30 million dollar card
A few others have commented the same thing because it's pretty obvious. That the "PSA 10" Jordan wasn't even centered. I would rather have a perfectly centered 9 than that card.
PSA 3 Honus Wagner went for over $3 million. I Know you said imagine how much a PSA 10 Mantle would go for since the PSA 9 Mantle sold for $5.2 million but I'm trying to imagine the amount a Wagner PSA 9 or even 10 would sell for.
Think the highest Wagner is a 5mc. Not positive but I know for sure no 9s or 10s exist

I have his 2nd year Fleer 87 in mint 9 PSA and over 150 of his college rookie cards graded and ungraded so I suppose it's time to get them out and sent to auction houses or Ebay about now !!

The OPC Gretsky looked a bit off-center for a PSA 10. I would feel bad for the people who spent so much for modern cards, but they doubtless have hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions, and this was a redistribution of wealth.

Giannis and Luka rookies going for around a million? To get a good rate of return, they'd have to be bigger than Jordan and Kobe combined. If I bought a Jordan card for $400 in 1990, it would have been $10k-800k in 30 years (for simplicity, let's say $40k.) To go $100 million on a card, I don't see that happening. Maybe $20 million, but again; still has to be bigger than Kobe, Wilt, MJ and a few others to make it. These guys just started and the boom is only a year in. Let's not make this look too much like a bubble just yet please lol.

I don't understand how that Wagner card can score a grade of 3. I have a 1959 Mickey Mantle in that same condition and it's graded a 1.

The modern expensive cards that are made scarce on purpose have little meaning compared to the antiques. Like a card with a piece of Michael Jordan's jersey (whoopdie do) is worth more than a Babe Ruth rookie card in near mint condition,, get out of here
