If price wasn't an issue would you use these or Roland heads?

Hi, so after some time using these, do you like the jobeky mesh heads more than the drum-tec ones? Which one feels the most realistic, would you say? I see you mentioning more rebound on the jobeky's. Usually that's bad in terms of playing feel with mesh heads. On the other hand they are quieter. Really don't know which ones to choose for my whole kit at this point aargh ;)

I personally prefer the feeling of the drum-tec heads. They are simply the best. Jobeky is not bad, especially if you want to keep the noise down and like the clean look but they do simply not feel as realistic. I am using Jobeky as bass drum head and drum-tec 2plys for everything else.

Ok that's good to know. Do you have the jobeky on the bass drum for lower noise then?

Yes, that is the only reason.

Thanks:9 It's my "new" TD-20 setup. I delegated an entire blog post to it: www.v-drumtips.com/new-roland-td-20/

I found it rather contradictory, distracting and annoying to have background music when demonstrating the sound produced from each mesh head...well intentioned video but unfortunately poorly executed...without the music it would be quite enlightening. Don't let insecurity fool you that a video always needs music...in contrary, this would be awesome without! (Like this video of yours: czcams.com/video/9td_t4dH4_k/video.html). Other than that, keep it up! This kind of videos are really useful!
