I would try these but my Roland heads wont wear out! I did find a used 14" Roland mesh in great shape for $22! Built a snare with a Convertible Percussions trigger and it works better than my pd-120. Snare was $45 and dual zone trigger was $50 including tax and shipping. For less than $120 I have an awesome full size snare!

Napoleon Smith I would definitely recommend the new triple ply from JoBeky, they feel great, will last longer and a decent price compared to others. Hope that helps
hey friend, what are you using for your bass drum trigger. im about to place an order with Jobeky but I see they dont have a specified bass drum trigger. should I just use the side mounted?
Hey John. I have a Roland KD A22 on my kick mate, expensive but superb. I haven’t heard anything bad about their side mounted triggers on bass drums so guess it will be fine..
@@brettstepto6113 maybe one day in the future I could get a better trigger for my bass drum. But damn it's just way out of the picture for now. A company called UFO makes good triggers over here. I just spent 250 dollars in shipping to get my jobeky order here to the states. Their prices are so good I'm jealous of you over there.
Great video Brett. I was toying with buying a Drum Tec Snare, then I saw the Jobeky ones and now I'm looking at converting my old Yamaha snare. I've got a TD25kv kit but want the full size snare. My question is, do you get positional sensing on your snare? It's important for me, as I plan on running everything through Superior Drummer 3, in order to get the different snare articulations. Thanks
Drums Hey, thanks. Yes I use a td30 module so get positional sensing with the Jobeky spoke trigger the same as a roland pad. Does the 25 module come with positional sensing?

Originally I was going to upgrade the td25 to the td27 or the td50 but the upgrade prices started at £2k at least. Drums Honestly mate. Its the best thing I’ve done. Love how you feel so much more natural behind full size shells. Definitely recommend it and Jane and Colin are awesome to deal with.
Jacob Montag much better for position sensing with the td30 module and alot more solid. Side triggers will still do a great job though, especially on smaller toms
Rafael Franco I don’t think mesh will ever match the rebound of an acoustic head but these are as good and close as you will get in my opinion. Hope that helps
The time it takes to undo four nuts and replace the mesh heads. I have a couple of Tama kits for the acoustic stuff so no reason to convert back yet.. i got the Reference very cheap also

They are as hard wearing as my old Roland heads, and the quality is just as good. So many people doing their own conversions now…

Quite possibly! They are very similar. They are awesome heads and super durable
I noticed you have Die-Cast hoops on your toms there, which rubber rims are you using to cover them and do they slip off at all? Thanks!

Just looking on their site now, and 3ply head, 4 spoke trigger, rubber ring and cable £121. Saves a fortune

Why the center triggers for Toms? What is the benefit over the side mounted

They are very white. Definitely not off white
I mean, A to E conversions are cool. but, in a Pearl Reference? thats questionable.
