- Transavia Trip Report from Alicante to Amsterdam onboard one of their Boeing 737 Sky Interior equipped with Scimitar winglets.
This was my first flight with Transavia. After months trying to find the perfect route and fare that fitted any of my trips, I found this one. A great flight from Alicante to Amsterdam.
Transavia planes look really nice. The Boeing Sky Interior as always is super-comfortable while seats are very original. The scimitar winglets always give a very nice look to the wing.
Special mention to the amazing views of Paris in cruise. We even spotted the Eiffel Tower! It was great!

The first time I flew was 1979, I was 7 years old. The plane was a TRANSAVIA Boeing 737-(200?). I will never forget! I was a short holiday from Amsterdam to Mallorca. I still remember the magic of flying... A week later on the way back we also flew TRANSAVIA. It was a Boeing 707! Wow!! I still remember how 'big' that plane was. Since then I am in love with aviation and TRANSAVIA. :-)
I've flown today with Transavia for the 2nd time! 😅

Looks familiar....😜. Transavia is a full daughter of KLM and a reliable low cost carrier in Europe. The are suffering now, as most of the airlines. Again a topvideo with extensive information, good camera work and nice pictures of ‘de nubes’, Pyreneeën, and cities. 👌🏼👍🏼.

As soon as the new Galaxy S21 Ultra will be on sale I will upgrade my (already old) Galaxy S9+ and think the image quality will improve drastically, especially in terms of stabilization. Also, with the new MacBook that I will receive in January, that comes to update my 2013 one, I will be able to edit everything in 60 fps.
With this big update in hardware, I think the channel will make a big step ahead. If at some point in 2021 I can start flying long-haul regularly, the channel will experience the _"boom"_ that was planned for 2020 but the pandemic didn't allow.
Let's see what happens... but 2021 looks promising! :))

Awesome video! I only saw them with the blended winglets actually (well, virtually 😂). Their cabin are nice too alongside with the beautiful Sky Interior!

Top video, loved the view of Paris, one of my favourite cyties. Flew Transavia for the last time in 2005, with my kids, then 5 and 2, from Bodrum to AMS, in a B737 800 without winglets.

Transavia Is one of the best leisure airlines, even if unfortunately there are even few because of Covid-19 pandemic.
This flight has been excellent, the green interior of the airplane Is very relaxing and 7 euro for the breakfast are not too much.
Just a clarification: B737 MAX has a different winglets shape, very different from Scims (in fact they form a kind of V with the narrower edge towards the wing).

Una suerte que no hubiese ninguna nube fastidiando las vistas de París. Una pena que aún no tenga el nuevo celular, pues el Zoom habría tenido mucha más calidad y la imagen habría sido muchísimo más estable... Entre Enero y Febrero actualizo mi celular al nuevo Galaxy S21 Ultra (aún no está a la venta) y espero que de un gran salto de calidad al canal.

Un vuelo tranquilo, buen diseño de asientos semejantes a los que tienen masajeadores; servicio a bordo bastante básico el desayuno, me quedé con hambre jejejeje !!! Las terminales nuevamente vacías de viajeros, las instalaciones muy bellas.

Great to see you fly Transavia, fantastic airline, KLM/Air France owned, flew with them 2017, Schiphol -Tirana, great price, on time, good cabin crew and a very positive experience.
3:32 - Lukas, is that an extra sharket facing down on the wing of the aircraft? Yea, Transavia and KLM are different, I use KLM to visit family in Berlin from Inverness, Scotland.
The cabin announcements from Inverness to Schiphol are English/Dutch, the announcements from Schiphol to Berlin Tegal - only in English! .... Weird.

The scimitar winglets are the "next generation" of the normal winglets. They are a little more efficient, but the benefit is not so big compared with the normal winglets. That's why almost none airline has them. In Europe, I can't only think about 2 airlines: Transavia and TUI.
I expect some more flight with Transavia in early 2021. The experience with them was very nice so I will repeat :))
Back at my old ryr base, since your flying Transavia I thought I would give you a fact, I was actually thinking about moving to Transavia when I left ryr as I had family in the Netherlands, I decided to go back to Britain where I was brought up and went to EXS as you know

Buenísimo trip Lucas. Es impresionante ver los aeropuertos con tan pocos pasajeros, muy penoso la verdad!. Bonito el Aeropuerto LEAL, es igual al escenario creado para los simuladores de vuelo. Tu sabes que función cumplen esas aletas Scimitar?. Buen logro las vistas de Paris, pudiste grabar los 2 aeropuertos de esa ciudad. Me gustó mucho el giro final hacia la pista 18R de EHAM, esa pista tiene un nombre me parece, se llama Polderbaan o algo así? o estoy equivocado?. Concuerdo contigo en lo hermoso del Schiphol, he estado ahí unas 3 veces y se me imagina que es un centro comercial desde donde despegan aviones. Gracias Lucas y espero en un futuro la ruta AMS-INN en Transavia para que la compartamos. Saludos desde un caluroso Santiago de Chile.

Tienen la misma función que los winglets normales: reducir la resistencia total del avión y, por lo tanto, reducir el consumo de combustible. Los winglets normales del B737 reducen entre un 4 y 6% el combustible consumido. Enorme ahorro.
Respecto al nombre de la pista de Schiphol, totalmente correcto.
Como ya te comenté, espero poder volar a Innsbruck pronto!

Mi último vuelo antes de la pandemia fue con Transavia y la verdad es que me encantó, los asientos son "peculiares" o más bien feos, pero muy cómodos al tener bastante padding y el servicio a bordo es más que correcto teniendo en cuenta que es una low cost. Sobre los winglets la verdad es que me gustan más los originales del 737NG que el apaño que hicieron para hacerlos similares a los del MAX, aunque supongo que deben ser mejores en cuanto al ahorro de combustible.
Como bien dices, los scimitar winglets son algo a medio camino entre los winglets tradicionales y los del MAX. No se los datos exactos, pero por la cantidad de aerolíneas que decidieron instalarlos, dudo que ahorren mucho más que los winglets tradicionales. (Sólo conozco 2 en Europa: TUI y Transavia; y no en todos sus aviones).

Hmmm, Airport Alicante has a very nice entrance.
Even on video the 737 is noisier than the A220.
Outside -60 °C at 11.5 km, that's very cold!
I especially enjoyed the surrealistic world of clouds. Not something I experience every day.

You can't compare the B737 and A220 in terms of noise! haha We are talking about the plane that makes less noise noways (A220). The Boeing 737 is, at the end of the day, a design that comes from the '60s! At that time, the aerodynamics were not evolved as now, so the B737 fuselage makes more noise than the A220 one (just by friction with the air, engines noise aside)

A cuánta distancia del aeropuerto empieza el avión a descender ?????
Depende del avión. El B737 necesita unas 3 millas por cada 1.000 pies que se quieran descender +1 milla por cada 10 nudos de velocidad que se quieran reducir. Si se quiere un cálculo más preciso, se aumenta 1 milla por cada 10 nudos de viento en cola, o se reducen 1 milla por 10 nudos de viento en cara. Para los demás aviones habrá algo parecido.

I've flown Transavia a lot of times to AMS and Orly..I am very happy with their service and on board product..They serve main airports at reasonable prices..When was the flight taken? did they ask for a negative pcr test to enter Holland from Spain?

Qué horror de interior.Hortera a más no poder. Viajé una sola vez con Transavia, muchos años antes de la fusión entre KLM y Air France, al poco de crearse esta compañía. Su interior era mucho más elegante y recuerdo que para ser lowcost su nivel de servicio era de lo mejor. Ya veo que con la llegada de los franceses la cosa se ha puesto más colorida 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Y así como el interior del TGV me encanta, aquí se han equivocado con todos mis respetos .
