TRIP REPORT | Perfection on Emirates A380 | Dubai to Singapore | Emirates Airbus A380
Emirates Trip Report flying from Dubai to Singapore, onboard one of the amazing Emirates A380, on a perfect day for flying.
An extremely comfortable flight from Dubai to Singapore onboard one of the Emirates Airbus A380-800. Flying on the A380 is always comfortable... but if you are lucky enough to get 3 seats for you... well, then the comfort is at its maximum. And that was, precisely, what happened on this flight.
After some exploration of Dubai Airport and a nice planeapotting session, we boarded the Airbus A380 that would take us to Singapore. The taxi in Dubai was pretty long, but it allowed us to see some nice places much closer. We took off towards the northeast, which gave us some of the most spectacular views of Dubai: the old town, the downtown, the port area... a really beautiful departure.
Already over the sea we made an almost 180° turn and started out flight to Singapore. We overflew part of Oman and soon entered the Arabian Sea, flying in direct course towards India. We entered to the south of Mumbai and enjoyed some really nice views of the central mountains and both coastlines.
After that, we entered the sea again, in this case, the Gulf of Bengal. We flew in direct course towards Malaysia. From there, a southbound course took us to Singapore, where we landed on time after a beautiful approach over the Bay of Singapore and the port.
About the inflight service, this time it was just a good service. Don't take me wrong, it was better than basically any European airline service, but compared with other Emirates flights... well, I felt the catering on this flight was below the usual standard. The main meal (chicken curry for me) was great. However, the salad and dessert were clearly under Emirates standards.

Excellent video, 16 hours non stop! I must be mad but I love very long haul flights, back in the eighties I flew frequently between Brunei Darussalaam and San Francisco mainly on Pan Am via SIN and HKG and being with an oil company usually flew business class, (occasionally wangled an upgrade). Nothing like a 15 hour flight from SFO to HKG especially looking forward to the landing at the old Kai Tak, landing through the streets!

Hola Lucas, tú que tienes mucha experiencia viajera, no verías a Iberia operando con el Airbus 380 en rutas como Buenos Aires, Lima, Sao Paulo, Bogotá, México city, Los Ángeles, Miami o alguna más que me he dejado en el tintero y utilizar el A350 para ir eliminando al A330 de la flota? No crees que podría ganar cuota de mercado, ampliar rutas y transferir los A330 al gobierno de España para jubilar los dos A310 que tienen para vuelos del Jefe del Estado y del Presidente del Gobierno y el resto se transfieran a Level abriendo nuevas rutas internacionales, tanto desde Barcelona como desde otras ciudades españolas como Málaga, Sevilla, Baleares y Canarias?, incluso pudiendo, en este último caso utilizar los nuevos A321 XLR, qué opinas de esta movida, es muy descabellada?. Gracias por compartir tu excelente trabajo.

Nice, a lot of beautiful things to see in this video. I just realize that after all airlines pull out their 747's and A380's, there will be no more double deckers. And airports will have to dismantle the upper jet bridges.

Thankyou for a wonderful video! Brought back some happy memories for me when l travelled on the Emirates 380(l was in Seat A54!). Should have gone to Singapore Airport one year but had to be cancelled through illness. I loved seeing it when you travelled there. Those beautiful views of 23:45 the sky were amazing too. Always enjoyed the food on the Emirates and the air crew were always so attentive😊

Yeah EK is great as always so if to choose between EK and SA I would choose EK:) Really love flying with them so when I fly somewhere with connection usually take EK flights with connection in Dubai) Have a nice week!

emirates catering and type of aircraft used are superior than singapore even the lavatory is customized, Doha's Hamad airport is currently the best!

Hola Lucas, enhorabuena por vuestras vacaciones, nunca he ido de crucero, algo que tengo en pte. Sobre la clase business de Eurowings Discover genial. Estuve más de 12 años de expatriado en diferentes países de Iberoamérica, viajé bastante, solo una vez nos hicieron un upgrade fue un vuelo de Lan Chile de Santiago a Miami, era un Boeing 767 y el upgrade fue de business a first class, creo que es la vez que más dormí en un avión. Pasando unas vacaciones en Punta Cana, pedimos un upgrade a una Suite, salón y dormitorio y una terraza impresionante con vistas al mar, una semana y pagué 32U$D por el upgrade, coincidió, sin saberlo, con una devaluación del $ dominicano.
