    I’m wanting to get this car for my wife. I owned a 97 Toyota Corolla for many years, I drove it everywhere. So reliable, and easy to work on. After owning many other cars after it, I’m deciding to go back to the corolla. I don’t care for all the extra flashy stuff I just want a car that will do it’s job and know that my wife, and baby will be happy with it

    My SE is loaded with features that the LE featured here doesn't have:
    - leather interior (seats are clothed in the middle)
    - a strip of led lights on the bumper
    - dual led headlights
    - rear spoiler
    - 17 inch alloy wheels
    - Color-keyed heated power outside mirrors with turn signal indicators
    - sport mode & paddles
    - premium package adds moonroof, Smart key (push to start and trunk open button in trunk lid), 7 inch touch screen (Etunes Plus) which adds Scout GPS, XM Radio and Voice Recognition

    • @chocolatewheelchair
      @chocolatewheelchair Před 6 lety +7

      Davin Peterson in my opinion for this class the le is the best value. The indash gps is bad. The led running lights are cool but not needed. Same with alloys. The best option is the keyless start in my opinion. Leather / leatherette is over rated. I miss having cloth seats personally.

    The headrests in the back can't be removed anymore. They block a lot of visibility. The sound system doesn't sound nearly as good as a 2005 Corolla. There is no more storage space in the dash area. There used to be three compartments with doors where you could keep things private and not have them exposed to dust. They cheaped out on the interior. I hope they didn't cheap out on the engine and transmission and everything that affects reliability.

      Proper Gods Tell me about it. I've been expecting a Sienna redesign to show up for the 2017 or 2018 model year in the first place... same with the Yaris right after the Camry, but before the Avalon.

    I like the Camry and the Avalon better. The reason for that is both the Camry and the Avalon has that new 2019 look. The Corolla still has that old 2014 look. The Camry and the Avalon has a lot of new features to offer. The Corolla doesn’t have the new features that the Camry and Avalon offer.

Is it heavy enough to feel secure at highway speeds? I know the last generation Corollas('09-'13) had problems with the steering being too light.

    Is this a good transmission? I think it no longer comes with a stick to measure the oil. Does it mean that it no longer has maintenance?

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  Před 2 měsíci

      It still needs transmission fluid changes. The sealed system without a dipstick is mainly to keep contaminates from entering the system.

    • @manolosicilia3512

      @@MikesCarInfo How do you know how much oil level the transmission has? I imagine it's because of some light on the dashboard. My best friend wanted to stay away from those transmissions and the car she liked has a CVT. (that Corolla model)

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  Před 2 měsíci

      @manolosicilia3512 The fluid level will remain full unless there is a leak (rare). When the dealership changes the fluid, they re-fill it with the appropriate amount of fluid.

      I got one in the U.S, and it doesn't seem like Toyota makes them from factory with remote starters. At my dealership, they do offer an aftermarket system that I negotiated as part of the deal. I live in Northern Illinois, So I'm not sure if they do the same where you live. I know in Canada, they have different cold weather features that you can get.

      On a car yes, but on the trucks for example like the Tacoma hell no ! The drums on the Tacoma is like a blessing when rock climbing or going on sand, or just plain off road, because the drum isolates the environment and lets the rear end hold ! Something like the Chevy colorado with those puny rotors in the back allow rocks, and earthly debris to compromise your stopping power but most importantly your hold on the off road surface. The Chevy is very dangerous and sluggish off road when you stop compared to the Tacoma with drums in the rear. Trust me they are cheap on cars, but every truck should have them standard if you get it in 4x4 !
