- On Ring of The Hawk sometimes we listen to the fans and other times we don't, this is an example of we do. It's Big Daddy V AKA Viscera, AKA Mabel who is the heaviest man to come on the show so far. Surprisingly he spent most of his time either ECW or competing against The Undertaker and Kane. Matt Stryker saying “mountains of ebony flesh” was just the worst 😂
I remember when Stryker was managing Big Daddy V and Mark Henry, but I don't remember him saying that. Sounds cringe, haha.
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. I can't understand why he or the writers thought that was a good ideal to say that.

EC3’s run in WWE deserves to be in Ring of the Hawk.
"You see that logo?"
What run?
It wasn't even a run. He did absolutely nothing on the main roster except wrestling on main event and the 24/7 title scene
That won't be a long video
You mean Hall of Fame?
V was a weird one. He had some really clean moves that worked well sometimes, but then other times, his giant mass of flesh got in the way of doing anything good. He's one of the few guys I've seen who could pull off a good belly to belly one match, then completely botch it the next. I honestly think his weight was a big factor in his struggle to be a solid wrestler.

it's weird, heart attacks in wrestlers are caused by one of three things

3. taking super heavyweight too literally (Big Daddy V, Yokozuna)

My non wrestling fan dad was disgusted and fascinated by his girth and attire all at once. For months afterwards ,even after he got beat, he would refer to the "incredibly fat wrestler" and ask what he was up to on Smackdown.
exactly, he was memorable so he did well from that perspective.
It's interesting hearing what casual viewers think of the wrestlers. Wrestling is seriously lacking some big men.
@@willisskull2676 The non-fans tuning in are how I gauge what's actually over, because those are the ones you have to convince to grow your audience. My non-fan sister enjoyed 2009 ECW and her favorite was Tommy Dreamer because she thought the soft-spoken dad looking guy trying to get one last title before tending to his family was charming.
During Big Daddy V's run, I used to visit my friend every weekend. ECW played on Saturdays for us and we would watch it. I remember my friend's mother checked on us at one point and she saw Big Daddy V on the TV. And the first thing she said was, "Jesus! Look at those rolls!"
She always asked us from time to time about "that fat man with the rolls." Lmao.
@@djgulston Right!? It's the freak show factor, you can't help but turn and point at the world's fattest athlete!
Big Daddy V run ended because of health issues that he needed addressing. Much like Yokozuna, WWE could not allow him to wrestle while his weight appeared to spiral out of control. Shame, he was a decent big guy WWE could rely on
this was when they booked Big Show to be a joke (Jerishow anyone?), and Khali was THE botch machine. And Vladimir Kozlov never had any chance ever of even being in the mid card. Only Kane and Undertaker were booked well, and Kane isn't exactly a above average wrestler.
It's sad that Viscera and Yokozuna's entire gimmicks were their obesity. It was how they made their living but it was also their demise. I think this is why they pressure their big guys(Samoa Joe, Keith Lee, Walter) to slim down.

He was a legit 6'6.5 and 475. Kane is much shorter than people think; he had heeled boots and shrank a little after wrestling. His real size now is around 6'5". Big Daddy V was just huge.
@@downwithputinsaveukraine1313
Kane/Undertaker are a legit 6'9". Old pictures standing next to Paul Wight (all in regular shoes) prove it. Kane lost a couple inches with back surgeries.

Well, they worked together several times after that so something must've changed. They were in the ministry of darkness together. Viscera returned for a mini-ministry of darkness reunion in 2004 and he also had a feud with The Undertaker.
@@SHEVCHENKOFAN18 that’s true but by that time viscera was a bit safer to work with plus he didn’t try certain moves. Don’t forget he also nearly broke Kevin Nash’s back as well it’s like with Nia Jax who as repeatedly injured a few wrestlers herself but they still do matches.

I've gotta say, Big Daddy V impressed me in this video. He was a lot more agile for a man his size than I remember. Ministry Vis was my favourite gimmick of his (and also the one that terrified me the most as a kid). I don't know why he never featured in any of the Blade Movies, even the Matrix Trilogy. He really had that dark/goth look down pat, much better than HHH in any case.
Although he wasn't the safest worker, his moves had incredible impact and how can we ever forget that spin kick? That was quite impressive for a man his size, let alone anyone. Though the "Love Machine" and "King Mabel" gimmick were fun, I always believed that a more serious gimmick suited him best. His last run wasn't his best imho.
Yea agreed and I was scared of him as a kid too
