I have never seen Sandman do any actual wrestling moves, outside of the Side Russian Legsweep and the Guillotine Legdrop, until this viedo.

Oh he used to have a few, fairly botchy, moves which Joey Styles used to give comical names to. The top rope Heinekenrana, the Rolling Rock senton bomb, the White Russian Leg Sweep...
He looks like he never had any actual wrestling training, and just relied on hardcore matches and weapons and just picked up a few moves and some experience along the way. He clearly isn't very athletic, but his run is pretty entertaining.

If i may reccomend a match, him vs Sabu at (I believe) Hardcore Heaven 97. The match was full of many table and ladder spots, but sandman was actually really fuckin good imo.
For as long as I live, I'll never understand how Sandman of all people was drafted to Monday Night Raw in 2007.
They shouldve grabbed new Jack too so he could jump off the top of the titan tron

I remember back in 07 there were reports online that Vince really liked The Sandman and was considering giving him a push on Raw. Allegedly he was briefly the backup plan when Mr. Kennedy was suspended and scrapped as Vince's illegitimate child. Then they changed course and went with Hornswoggle... sigh.

As sloppy of a wrestler he was, I generally found his matches entertaining enough. Even without his ECW entrance coloring my impressions.
He had no natural wrestling talent but he did what he did and got over doing it. Always an honourable mention in my list of fave wrestlers

I imagine Nash gave Sandman a decent match because they had friends in common. Raven and Nash go back to the early 1990's in WCW, when Raven was working as Scotty Flamingo and Nash was Vinnie Vegas, they where both part of DDP's Diamond Mine stable. Add to the fact that Hall was on rehab, Waltman was working up North, Nash was extremely likely to be hanging out with Raven, Sandman, and Saturn. All those guys where known Partiers at the time, and Saturn as had connection via Hunter(Saturn and Triple H trained together at the same wrestling school and worked the New England Indy scene at the same time)

Chastity was indeed fired for being in porn. The movie was called Live Bait. As soon as WCW's standards and practices found out, that was her gone.
New Jack also mentioned it in an interview that it was shown in the ECW locker room to the horror of D-Von Dudley, who was having an affair with Chastity and even planning to leave his wife for her.

It's good that you're back, man! The Chastity story was that WCW fired her for doing p*rn which violated the rules in her contract. But there was an issue because she did that before she signed with the company. So they fired her for breaking the rules of a contract that she hadn't even agreed to at the time. To his credit, The Sandman took her side and it was another reason he wanted out of WCW and the feeling was mutual.
There was a joke made about it on Saturday Night Live during Weekend Update. They reported the story and said, "WOW! Who knew pro wrestling fans watched porno?"
Raven also left WCW soon and returned to ECW after Sandman did.
Looks like somebody collected the Dragonballs to bring back the Hawk!
Funniest thing about Sandman is when Vince's illegitimate son was being revealed and Sandman was one of the last ones remaining in the ring 😭😭 he wouldn't leave

Sandman has personality to cover up his short comings in the ring. He just wrestles with enough swagger that everything seems more impactful.
Man, if it weren't for the crappy Peacock deal, I would go back and watch all the old WCW shows from late 1999 and 2000. It seems so fascinating to watch, and it seems like every day, I'm learning of new wrestlers that I didn't know were in WCW

The guillotine Leg Drop is the suicide dive of the 90's
One of my favorites from the 90’s. He was a great brawler but boy his wrestling really stunk. His top rope leg drop in ECW would look like he almost broke his leg every time. His “Enter Sandman” smoking and drinking entrance is epic. Even if it was 4 minutes long and what followed stunk worse than one his Marlboros. I was excited to see you covered him and I thought this video was fun.
Funny to see Hak get more fit as the matches went on.

@@BrettStormXWP Roughly 20 matches on Raw from 2003 to 2004, he got "suspended" by Bischoff in the buildup for Mania with Lesnar and all his matches are around 5 minutes long on Raw.

@@delv213 I just checked on Cagematch and unfortunately, Goldberg had 34 matches during his first run in WWE. So, unless Marky bends the rules for Goldberg, then that video wouldn't happen. It would've been a good video because Goldberg usually won in his matches but he had those major big losses against Triple H that put a damper on his first WWE run, as well as Goldberg being in longer matches he's used to. So, it would be interesting to see what the final grade would've been.

IDGAF Best wrestler of all time. He has a one of a kind move list that only he can do. Those goofy drunk drop kicks seriously crack me up every time! From his irish whips, to taking simple bumps, they all look funny and entertaining as hell. He has a drunk version of every move.. Like a drunk suplex, a drunk elbow drop, a drunk swanton bomb, and other regular moves that are EXTRA sloppy but very entertaining, I love it honestly. My favorite move that he does is this drunk really ugly RVD karate kick from the top turn buckle or from the side ropes, its so fn hilarious, it makes me bust my gut from laughing so hard.
Honestly a pretty decent use of the guy. Those dudes just needed better storylines for him. They were actually already built in for them, they just didn't know how to book wrestling. #bitchoff

Firstly... welcome back Marky D!! I truly believe nothing can keep both a good individual and a good CZcams channel down. Sandman is like New Jack and Balls Mahoney in that they are really good workers despite not being good technical wrestlers. I'm 50/50 with the repetitive nature of the matches because it showed the writers knew about the ECW guy's great chemistry, but at the same time they over did the hardcore deathmatch stuff because they didnt understand ECW wasn't always about deathmatches. But kudos to WCW for giving them better and legit paydays unlike Paul Heyman lol 😂

Whenever Sandman did the Russian Leg Sweep with the Singapore cane it was called “The White Russian Leg Sweep” (in reference to the alcoholic drink) the front senton front flip onto the downed opponent was called “The Rolling Rock” (a beer company) and let’s not forget his signature top rope “Frankensander”. Honestly one of the best looking in the business.
