Beautiful tone on your Trumpet! Great video as well. Wishing you continued success!
You’re phrasing is killing 🔥🔥
Great video! You explain things very well..
Muchas gracias mi papa, exelente explicación
Great! beautiful video. I can't find your video about the bebop enclosures you talk about in the video
Wow brother you are loaded with talent!!! Im a sax player ( 12 plus yrs playing) and the 2 5 4 is still confusing but a work in progress. Great job and even greater chops!! Kudos
Beautiful Miles loved it.
Great video man. Gave me a clear understanding on where to use the bebop dominant scale on in a 2-5-1. Only one critique. Maybe turn up the volume on the backing track because I basically can’t hear it. Please keep up the videos! 🎺🔥
I found your channel through your “from the start” cover and as a high school trumpet player I love your videos. Really entertaining and helpful, keep up the good work!
Hey blue crayon, i really appreciate it. What kind of videos would you like to see? I’ve wondered how many trumpet players i’m actually talking to .
Hey Dude, I think it is more instructive to write out the arpeggios, pivoting, followed by chord or scale as you suggested in the 251 improvisation exercises in both minor 7, dominant 7, major 7 and also in half diminished 7 (B), dominant 13 (G) and minor 6th (A). That will result in easier takeaway. Thank you..
this is good to know for future reference thank you for this
Another nice one, Miles! Thanks, lots of great material to transcribe and work on. Minor citicism, the volume of the backing track is a bit low during your examples.
Hey thank you kindly! I realized that after the recording. Unfortunately, I couldn’t raise the gain without having my trumpet blow out the mic in my macbook. This is definitely something I will adjust in my next video.
i would really like a video on pivoting, this video is helping me really mutch
I recognize some phrases. It's like I heard it before. Does some other solos inspired yours ?
yes absolutely, mainly chet baker when i think of melodic phrases to use over minor
I am playing jazz since last year, but i played classical for 5 years. I don't really know what to practice and study, shall I go over all standards? shall I just practice scales? and what scales shall I practice? there is so much to lern and I really don't know where to start
this is a very did question. i will go into depth this week about what to do
thank you, you are really kind@@MilesSpearman
volume too low on irealb
The bassplayer on the background-band plays very much out of tune, unfortunately..
