When they started the elevator up I was done already. Nope I'm already done. I'd need sedated to be able to do it. This makes me so uncomfortable watching.
This is actually me. I was terrified of heights prior to the help, support and guidance from the tv show. I was however able to return to The Orbit the following year and complete a freefall abseil off the top of the building.
I've not been able to watch the full episode. What help is there other than forcing yourself to do it? I'm currently not able to deal with heights at all including the ladder to my loft and can't seem to force myself to do it

Hi David
Thank you for your message. We tackled each height gradually over 4 days using distraction techniques. It did feel uncomfortable however confronting the fear whilst using distraction seemed to work. It was recognising that you're actually safe and not in danger. Far from easy if you have a phobia so I fully understand how you feel.
@@davidangus8127 please don't force yourself, I have a fear of a open air heights myself not all just some but I can tell you right now forcing yourself isn't the way, I only get scared if I feel I'm not in control and I would find myself another way too lol just breathe , try to keep calm and relax take it easy okay?
I'm so sorry about that but I'm so happy you improved that much 😁😁😁 I don't know if I would've fainted myself but I definitely understand your fear I don't have it quite as extreme but I do have a certain degree of nope nope nope haha
@@lindathetford3776 Thank you very much Linda. I was feeling unwell on the day too and very disappointed I didn't compete the final task. It was a fantastic experience I'll never forget though.
Poor man!! I wanna hug him I totally get it I hate most heights myself
Are people actually scared of climbing a ladder? I have a fear of heights too but it’s not this extreme.
Yeah some are. Everyone is different ya know
saleh_heh it’s fascinating it truly is
Yeah me lol
My fear of heights only triggers when I see people playing with their lives, like riding a BMX on a rooftop of a 100 metre tall building, or climbing stuff that's 500+ metres tall and standing on the edge.
I am
Peter... what a guy!! Well done mate
Thank you very much.
I would have passed out at 300 feet let alone 5!
True, will get scared to climb on attic
Funny factor I’m a rope technician 2 year in the industry and Im super afraid of heights 😂
I’m scared of heights and I have to climb a silo at work to transfer mil .My hands start to sweat and hurt . It’s crazy
What a show.
"You're gonna climb up to the top and we're gonna do some stuff, but whatever you do DON'T FAINT!"
The most I’ve done is stayed on the 6th floor of a hotel. I get really uneasy at anything more than that. For me, I don’t like ascending or descending lots of flights of stairs it triggers panic and vertigo. I don’t much like escalators either due to claustrophobia, but that’s another subject 😂
I can totally relate with you 😂
I totally can relate … anything after the 3rd floor I feel super unbalanced and few I can’t breathe and I must go back to floor 1 to feel good .
I have a great fear of heights 🙃. And yesterday i started work as a mechanic in a construction company. Were making a tunnel for a subway about 80 feet under ground. Today was my first time going down to it. Its about 8 steel ladders like you would see in fire escapes. I grew some balls and went all the way down 😏 and at the end of the day i had to obviously climb up. I did it and feel very accomplished with myself. I hope i eventually get rid of the fear 😨. Because this i really good job that 8 dont want to loose because of me being a pussy
Youre absolutely not being wimpy just because you have a fear I'm scared of open air heights myself such as situations where I don't feel safe or like I can't escape down to the ground if I needed to but I'm okay with rooftops and stuff but hey buddy just please don't ever feel bad for being human okay? I do hope you work it out someday :)
@@lindathetford3776 what you said about not having a quick escape to the ground is exactly why I feel so much for 9/11 victims.... it was either suffocate, burn, or jump.....I would have just fuckin burned...😫😫😔😔
It’s normal to feel that way , one wrong move superman ain’t coming to save you . I have a fear of it too lol i never felt so vulnerable
Does anyone know where I can watch the full episode of this
Good onya Pete he’s trying to overcome his fear Richard Barker the hypnotherapist would sort ya fears out
Thank you so very much.
No no no NO ABSOLUTELY NOT NOOO omg my stomach hurts watching
What is the series' called
The descent is so slow I think that’s the hardest part
Causes my palms to sweat.
I thank anyone for not signing me up for that 😬
I have a fear of anything higher than 5 feet of the ground. I would freak tf out I can not climb a letter or go up steep anything
Anyone else disappointed for not getting to see the banner with the marriage proposal?
It's dificult explain. You body freeze.
Im afraid of heights and when i ride a roller coaster for the first time i freakin passed out my legs was weak and im stuttering
Ride more of them and use your fear for enjoyment. People don’t usually get rid of fears, they just learn to enjoy the adrenaline.
I’ve been there and it’s not that scary come on
No danger there whatsoever.. they all have safety ropes ffs
Doesn't mean they can't be afraid, there has been many cases where safety ropes have snapped. Stop being an immature, inconsiderate jerk. I doubt that you're completely free from fears.
