- The Glock G44/ Taurus TX22 is the greatest .22 showdown since the Ruger Mark series. These two pistols each own their particular piece of the market. Although, in the video, I think I make it clear who wins the trophy in my opinion.

I bought a 44 one month ago and cleaned it well. Since, I have fired 4 kinds of ammo totaling 500+ rounds with absolutely zero problems.

I own both the Glock 44 and Taurus TX22 LR. I made a mistake and bought the 16 round ProMag magazine and it will not empty a mag without multiple failures. I bought two 5 round extensions for the Glock magazines. The extensions worked perfect. The Taurus works with with any 22 LR. The accuracy is about the same and I like both triggers. If I could only have one I would buy Taurus TX22,
My Glock 44 has run just fine so far. I only have 140 rounds through it so far but it only had one stove pipe in some 36 grain I ran through it.
Tx22 all day. You know he wants to say it
My first EDC was the Taurus PT709 Slim, which ran as reliably as my Glock 19 for over 5,600 rounds. I also have two Taurus Spectrums (my preferred EDC), each with over 3,500 trouble-free rounds, so I'm not one who bashes Taurus. However, recently I got a Glock 44 to replace my S&W M&P Compact 22, which I enjoyed shooting, but it had several factory warranty trips. Twice, at between 9,000 and 9,500 rounds each, the firing pin needed replacement. Also, at 12,500 rounds the aluminum slide literally cracked all the way around (photos available), 270 degrees, and was replaced by S&W warranty service. My first 400 rounds with the Glock 44 have been flawless. It is a great trainer for both my Glock 19 and Glock 43X, so the right choice for me. That said, I'd have no issues with a Taurus TX22, based on my previous Taurus guns.
They get a hard rap, I've had a few in the past, its hit or miss.
I just got done running over 500 rounds of 6 different types of ammo through my Glock 44. it had two failures to feed. One from Remington Thunderbolt and one from Winchester HP Copper Plated 333. All in all I had another great day shooting!
Good stuff, the failure to feeds are an added bonus if you are using this as a trainer, nothing better than real world replication.
my TX-22 came with a loader in the box so the issue of loading it was negated by that. The price point is a huge factor as well. For the money I'll take the Taurus every time

My Glock 44 is a fat baby, it eats everything, aguila and winchester white CRAP (box).. My G44 is a newer model It was made in December of last year. I know the early models of the G 44 were not good
No contest... which one costs less (before the insanity)? Which one holds more rounds? Which one is jam free?
Tarurus holds more, I've experienced issue with both. Although .22LR has a history of being particularly inconsistent.
My TX22 was fed 40 year ammo and nothing happened. I'm a Glock man and I still love the TX22 for practice.

There is a clear winner. It's the Taurus.
I have and would not trade Glock 19 and Glock 26. But, for a .22 I have and would not trade my Taurus TX22.

God Bless
Certainly, good guns.
Really.... Taurus tx22 hands down
Love it, I do think the G44 is a great trainer for those on the Glock platform.
@@PewBrothers You do have a point, if you need training on how to THROW a gun at your assailants..
Had the glock model 44, basically it a maybe if I can shoot this ammo out this magazine, yep it jam again, sold that pistol, with back to turasa tx 22, , had the frist models, for FL factory, sold it, now brought a tx22, model from the new factory in GA, basically glock need to redesign there magazines, using a steel feeding lip, like a ruger 10-22, , and make it a 15round, as for the side, they need to, make it , with thin stamp steel side with steel block, for better build, and put a aluminum firing pin sleeve, not polymer, , and now, glock 44model, bugs are gone, , maybe down the road tarusa or glock, can make a 22mag model, using the stamp steel side, with steel block, and 30 round magazines. ??
Why do u call them trainers? I guess my 9mm's are just trainers for my 10mm, ,& .45.
A trainer is a cost-effective platform that mimics the form and function. .22s and air guns are often used as trainers.
It is from 1962-1970
We did some research, seems like collectors will pay decent for it.
@@PewBrothers How much?
It varies from place to place, I saw one site paying $10 for just the box.
@@PewBrothers Wow
Picks a winning gun not even
in the running. Lol
I love it.
Tx22 for me bro.

Glock is over priced sh*t
Glocks aren't even expensive...
@@MrBiscuitsAndmustard they are when ur in college bagging groceries lol.. i worked my way. And am now in a good place financially... but u should think before u comment.. some people Can not drop 500-700 on a gun.. but some can drop 2 to 3 hundo. To some 5-7 is a house or car payment. To u it may be gum money.
@@mytopicsopinions2840 Fair enough, but I don't have to think before I say anything. God bless the 1st amendment 😁. To me glocks are average priced weapons. I'm not a glock or taurus fan, but taurus did it right with this one. Also, to clarify I'm not by no means rich and I'm glad to hear you're in a better place financially. Education goes a long way
