TX22 is the best non-competition .22LR pistol on the market! The stock trigger is better than all of my 9mm to include Steyr, CZ, Walther and Grand Power.

Taurus all the way, upgraded to a metal guide rod and make sure them mags are well cleaned and oiled. Have had no problems using Aguila ammo for the range and federal punch for carry ammo, the TX loves both of those rounds. I would highly recommend to anyone that replacing the guide rod with a metal one is a must and a cheap fix to the FTB issues and noticed hardly any FTF as well.

I think you need to be careful about loading them in the TX magazines. One at a time, without letting the ones beneath go down much, avoid gaps and nosing down. One thing to try at least. Mine is running smooth on cheap ammo.
Also not a bad idea to clean and lightly oil the magazine I figure.

    • @CadillacJones

@@CadillacJones It's frustrating when you have a jammy gun that you WANT to like.
I dont have high expectations from (relatively) cheap rimfire automatics; but my TX has been good, sofar at least (~300 rounds). Keep on rockin.

I'm definitely a Taurus fan and have 4 of them that are accurate and work flawlessly. My TX22 is a great pistol that I have put over a thousand rounds through with only two failures to fire and both were ammo related with 40+ year old Winchester Wildcat ammo. Thanks for the video.

i recently got a new tx22, their was not a bit of riflling in the barrel, took it out to shoot before cleaning, key holed every shot, took it back to dealer. he made it right, and traded a nice barrel out of another pistol. i can not understand how this gun got out the door to begin with. taurus better step up their quality control, before someone gets injured.

I enjoyed the video and I am a Taurus TX-22 fan. I have one and have fired about 1,700 rounds through it and I am noticing degradation of the metal where the RSA attaches to the slide. Could you please address this in a video as Taurus claims this is normal wear, but many, me included, are purchasing the Lakeline RSA to put a stop to the wear. Keep up the great work.

I was in the market for a 22lr pistol. I wnt with the tarus, I have 4 9mm Glocks. When I buy a Glock for 500.00 I add another 500.00 in sights etc. I did not want to buy a gun I knew I would be putting a bunch of money into it. I think they are both good. I like the accuracy of the Tarus & the price. The mags are the Tarus down fall. This is where I think I get most of my problems. I think all 22lr`s have their plus and minus features. Lets face facts. It is not a gun for self defense. At least for me.

.22LR is by nature an unreliable cartridge. Every round is diff. Ppl who shoot 22 especially from a handgun have to first find out which brand and weight their gun likes.
Striker fired, poly 22 pistols have proven to be finicky and unreliable ie. Sig Mosquito.
Personaly, i dont kno what purpose they serve.
For reliable, accurate, inexpensive 22LR plinking see the Ruger Mark IV and Browning Buckmarks.
