I love that observation about programming :) I do still enjoy...SOME math, but I have definitely explained a programmer's job as "your goal is to be as lazy as possible and get the computer do the work" multiple times.
The computer's job is to do the math. The programmer's job is to tell it what math to do. Interestingly I absolutely hated math in school where I had to do the calculations, but I'm perfectly fine setting up the calculations in a program.
I have always wanted to make Zirda work, and Im playing Lithoform lately, I love this

Yep that Carrion Grub deck was straight from Merchant’s video, really fun surprise when you cycle the Rex while attacking with it-instant 11/5 with trample

And lo a new estimation of ability dawns. No longer will we measure our decks by win ratio, gold earnings, or ladder rankings. It is a new era and all is decided by ... The Jank Factor. The jankiest of janks is now the hero or heroine that we aspire to become.

Hell yes! I love it when she plays jank. I need this video.. I need to relax from all this election noise. Thank god.
1. I would take out the 4 Revitalize and add 4 Alseid of Life's Bounty to help protect your king. Probably put a couple Malakir Rebirths in for Swamps for the same reason.
2. With Abzan colors, Mythos of Nethroi is much better at removal than Feed the Swarm. It happens at instant speed and can hit any permanent for essentially the same cost.
3. You saw how powerful Titanoth Rex is with Carrion Grub. You could make room for some grubs by taking out a Sandwurm, a Beckoner, and maybe an Omen of the Sun and/or Shatter the Sky.
(Don't forget that cycling to boost the grub can happen at instant speed! So can using the king to re-animate your bombs, which can be done right after the opponent attacks)

Carrión grub doesn’t have an activated ability, you’d have to forfeit zirda as your companion
@@radianth4429 D'oh, you're right. In that case I'd consider trying to squeeze in a little more ramp instead, since the deck doesn't really start to hit its stride until turn 5.
Definitely three cards I like in that thumbnail.

They really should have done the companion nerf differently. Only Yorion should be bought for 3. Some should be bought for two like the reanimation cat and Obosh and Gyruda. Some should be 1 like the big hippo. The jankiest like Lutri and Zirda should have no additional cost
As an umori the collector player I feel you. He never seemed broken as a companion. Good, but not yorion or lurris good.

I wish lithoform engine was just a bit more playable. I love the card, but 4 mana do nothing is just too hard to use :(
They should have designed it as a 2 man thing, then you could pay 2 mana to give it a counter, and with 1-2-3 counters it could use its first second and third ability.
Or it could have flash
