Lost suction on the hose and had me nervous because these machines are so expensive. A trip to the repair shop can be equal or greater than the cost of a new machine. All ports were clean except the last one behind the window. It was clogged with carpet fibers and pet hair. It took 5 minutes to find the issue and fix it. Thanks for he video!
Glad to help
Thank you for the video! Had the issue where the flapper was stuck and your video saved the day! I would recommend including a picture or video to show what the flapper looks like and what it should look like in the open and closed position
Thanks for this video! Ours was dirty everywhere and needed unclogged and cleaned. The gasket was stuck inside of the upper water container and the flapper needed unstuck too. This video helped us realize how to take it apart for cleaning and get it working again!
That's great news.. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for the video! Really funny and great explanations. I can now fix my vacuum and get my upholstery cleaned again.
I hope the plant is still okay 😆
Plant is alive and well 😊 glad you enjoyed the video
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I love your attitude - especially the joy when you got the vacuum fixed!
Glad you enjoyed it. I always have fun making these videos.
Drain snake works great if you don't have the plastic tool
This is why you need to clean the unit after each use. Which most people don't do.
Fixed my problem, you do a good explaining, put you should have showed the switch/flap that gets stuck open when this occurs. Still helpful!
Glad it helped
Thank you very much. I followed your instructions to the T. Although I had to mess around with the springed flap inside a little but now the sectioned worked. Thanks again from Chicago 😊
Thanks for your help. I TOOK YOUR ADVICE AND THE VACUUM'S WORKING GREAT!
Glad it helped!
The best video on this subject on youtube! Thank you very much!
You’re welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
This solved my issue - thanks! Flapper was jammed open and the pod was not getting any suction.
Glad it worked out for you
Thank you very much for this video, I had exactly the same issue.
Hope it helped. Thanks for watching
Thanks you for this information.......I think you gave the solution I needed!!!
Thank you so much for making this video!! I am experiencing the exact same issue up to you taking off the panel.
You're welcome!
Thank you so much from West Australia
You’re welcome
Thank you!!! It was actually the suction gate had triggered!! I cleaned out everything so helpful. Also didnt know what that tool was. Hope I still have it. I thought it was packaging. I suppose I should have read the directions.
You're welcome! I'm glad it helped
Thank you! Very very helpful!!! 😊

@@monroevac I have a Bissell Revolution and it is not getting up the water what could I do to get it back working.
@@jameswilliams-5165 try this video No suction in my Bissell Revolution

Specs and features are cool and all
Great way to select a product is to be aware of potential/known problems, then foresee the difficulty you'll encounter during maintenance
Water those plants, or put them out to pasture!
Thanks This was very helpful!
You’re welcome
Thank you!! My flapper was also flipped one way!
You’re welcome
Thanks, God Bless you, you fixed my problem so far. Mine was the hose not getting no suction. If that don't work for long or whatever then it might be time to take a sledge hammer to it or trash it, and buy a real one or get someone else fix it.
Sometimes a sledgehammer is the only solution 😊 glad I could help
@@monroevac So far so good. But only use it one time a year or every 2 or 3 years or so. What such timing on your comment. But almost used the same sledge hammer method yesterday on the dam caravan that finally got rid off like 5 hours before that the key fob and ignition broke. Trust me sledge hammer method is 1 of the 1st things did cross my mind.
🤣😂😂
After watching this I was able to fix my bissel! Thanks!
You're welcome glad to help
Great, believe this video solves my problem. Plus you're very entertaining......
Glad to hear and thank you
Thanks for spending the time to post this! You solved my mystery!! I greatly appreciate it!!
Nice!!!! I’m glad it helped
Good video bro !! Thanks a lots
No problem 👍
Man you're the best! Thanks to you I was able to get "hose mode" working again. I wonder how many of these all across American are stuck like that, only able to clean in carpet mode?
Thank you Mark!! Hope you were able to subscribe- we’ll them coming
And Australia lol thank goodness for this video lol
Thanks Dude. The flap on mine was stucked closed as well. Once I freed it up by cleaning it, the suction on the hose worked great. I noticed there's also a lever on the bottom that works the flap manually.
You're welcome and nice work!
Thank you thank you thank you
You’re welcome
So hey… on the actual power unit… to remove the suction hose… there is a sticker that covers the screws to access hose. You wouldnt know that its really accessible because it matches the grey parts perfectly….
Peel it off and you can get to the hose connection!!!
Thanks for sharing
@@monroevac my pleasure… i searched and searched youtube and got nada…
I honestly discovered it AFTER taking the entire casing apart… lol… hopefully people will find it much less frustrating to repair now than I did…
Of course, simple access, discovered the hard way…😎
This is the exact problem I had, thank you so much for posting this. Everything works great now
You are welcome
Can you please do a video on bissell pro heat 2X lift off not spraying water
Will do. Ill have it up this week
I have a question when you were talking about a clogged or no suction Bissell Lift off deep cleaning machine you mentioned the Suction Gate that it is spring loaded ( because that is where it switches from carpet to upholstery......my questioned is where does the spring go? I had it all apart and cant remember where the spring goes and its crucial for my machine to work thank you !!
hmm.....I'll have to look at the unit again. I've never removed the spring in order to loosen the gate. Im not at my shop now but will be early next week. i'll look into it for you.
I'm not getting any power to the up right position. Lift off and hose position works just fine. I need a break down of what's wrong with the base
When you say power are you referring to the suction or spraying
I am having problems with my Bissell Lift-off suction problems too. It has suction on the upright when I put my hand over it i can feel it. I don't have very good suction on the hand held part. I have cleaned all the parts that you have described in your video. But...here's the trick...I know I have suction into the dirty water tank.....but the tank never has water in it!! I was feeling like my carpets were still to wet so I kept going over and over it....but there is no water in the dirty water tank? Are there any other things I am missing that may not be in this video? My gaskets seem to be fine and aren't dry or brittle either? 🤷
Hi Shelly seems like you’re covering the basics. This first step my sound silly but try pouring water from a cup on the floor and try to suck it up. 1st with the hand tool then with the floor. You want to gauge the difference in suction. Also do this by taking the main unit off the base to test the hand held. check the transfer gate; the flap that redirects the suction from the base to the hose located on the bottom right when you remove the dirty water tank. We want to see if the gate is stuck halfway. Hard to diagnose without the unit in front of me but try this and keep me posted
it wouldve helped SOOO MUCH IF YOU SHOWED US THE FLAP VALVE THATS SPRING LOADED SO WE CAN SEE EXACTLY WHAT WAS MISSING...MINE DONT HAVE THAT
I’ll prepare another video stay tuned - be sure to subscribe
How do I order the gasket for this specific cleaner,
Depending on what gasket you are looking for- most are not for sale- I’ve had many occasions where I had to go to Lowe’s and buy plumbing rubber sheet and cut a gasket out- visit partswarehouse.com and search your model number and a detailed schematic will display available parts and prices. Hope that helps
My water won’t suck up when I take it off to the small snail part. I’d love love love some help
Try removing the attachment and test the hose suction by itself- if it doesn’t work test the transfer box it my be stuck
You never showed the flapper that was stuck and I don’t know where it is.
Hmm check out my Bissell tips play list I’m sure the video is there. If you remove the dirty water tank it will be located below near where the hose enters the unit . It’s a glass square window I believe you’ll need a phillips screwdriver to remove the screws to get access to the flap
So I've done every step and cleaned everything and still no suction through top or handheld. I know there's suction because of the step you showed when checking the motor which is also working great but still no suction or fluid dispensing 🤔 HELP!!!
Hmmm this one will require a total break down to figure out what wrong. But I can tell that the No spray issue is most likely a pump, solenoid issue
@@monroevac I'll check it out thanks for the feedback
I have a Ready Clean
how is it working for you
well my flappy thing is very tight, was not dirty and still doesn't suck anything. have no freaking clue :(
it probably just dome dirt and soap dried up. try spaying it with a al purpose cleaner and also lubicate it
Will you tell us what the problem was but you don't show us oh my god really how am I supposed to figure anything out if you don't sell me uhg
Hi Janet my apologies, I have a Bissell tip playlist that may have the answer you are seeking. If you’d like you can describe your problem in detail and I may be able to help
Yes please show where you removed the screws to get to the flapper. None of that was shown on the video. Thank you
