Thankyou!!! A replacement handle is on the way, took it apart and the plunger rod isn't getting depressed properly. So glad I'm not spending another $500 for a new cleaner. Your video saved my wallet and the environment!!
My trigger had one side of the little part that is on each side break off which made it nonfunctional but ... b4 I figured that was why water would not come out when I pulled the trigger I had the whole thing apart checking for clogged hoses. So very happy you made these videos! Thank you!
Ha I did the same thing, unfortunately I only came across this video after taking apart my cleaner, only to realise it’s my trigger, my tag was broken as were the small hooks holding it in place, and now it’s hard to get hold of a new handle.
Thank you for these! Just fixed my Bissell because of these videos. The valve that opens when you press the trigger, in the middle section was not returning to a closed position. Seems taking it apart and spinning/ working the plunger freed whatever was binding the spring from being able to return the valve to a closed position. A hit of WD40 seems to have helped as well.
Awesome video, as far as carpet cleaner repair videos go😂 I enjoy how you problem solve and Keep it real...anyway, I had the opposite problem with the trigger...it wouldn’t STOP spraying 🤪 but now I see how to get in there...I’ll let you know how it turns out. Fun site! Keep up the good work.
Your trigger video helps however when taking apart the handle I discovered a different issue. The trigger has two studs that allow it to pivot. Mine had broke off. The handle was out of stock. I drilled a hole inserting a screw which I cut to length allowing it to fit in the slot
My trigger resistance is good. After the first squeeze of the trigger the water would empty .. . After watching all your videos it seems to me that after first touch to trigger the rod is getting stuck . Yes no? How do I fix this?
Hi Wayne something to keep in mind I use my own carpet soap with laundry detergent and fabric softener , Lysol laudry disinfectant a bid problem seems to be when I use an oxiclean powder the dispenser gets clogged even when I put it in my magic bullet to displve it strande but when I remove my rollers and blow air in the dispensing holes then will work agsin but that is not worth the effort! see what you find out so at this point I dont recommend using and type of powder when using your own concoction even if dissolved! PEACE BROTHER!
Mine also broke in the trigger where it rotates. It was a $100 refurb from Ollies that served me well so I'm not even mad, I'll just keep it for parts for the new one.
Thank you so much. I had 2 issues. One with broken trigger and a stuck trigger valve. Watched both of your videos and fixed it myself. Keep posting more!! 😊
So my Bissell Heat pro pet 2X had the problem of not shutting the water flow off. I lubed the push rod on the rubbing parts down the handle with 3 in 1 oil. Also I attached a helper rubber band to pull the rod back up. The trigger mechanism was acting fine, just the push rod holding up. I took a picture but I couldn’t attach it to the reply. It is only a temporary fix, but so far so good, until it breaks.
Take off the handle and place your finger at the bottom of the rod then press the trigger if you feel the rod push against your finger then it’s still working - I’ve done a few trigger videos. You can find one in the Bissell tips playlist
Please help me. Mine is leaking significantly from the bottom whenever I put the clean water tank in. I watched your other video and saw that the circle was bubbling/filling up down near the bottom of the carpet cleaner. The trigger seems to be fine and intact.
if you follow the tubing down to the base you see where the leak is comin from, but you would have to take the unit apart to find out. use a slim Philips screw driver
Mine isn't leaking from the tube on the right. It's leaking from the little tube to the left of that where the screw is at. Each time I put the water tank on it just pours out there. Any suggestions from that point? I've checked the trigger and it seems fine.
They don’t sell auto receivers for this model. Check to see if the leak is due to a slit in the tubing. If not then you may need to find a used unit to switch out the parts or buy a new unit.
Do you have a trigger fix for the hoover turbo scrub/power scrubs? Mine sticks a little.. Not bad but I'm thinking it's just going to get worse over time.
I’m having trouble finding the video regarding the actual valve that opens when you squeeze the trigger. My trigger works fine, but as soon as you place the clean tank on to unit, water starts bubbling out of opening at the bottom of the steam cleaner on the right.
Hey buddy, I love your videos! Greetings from 2 hours north east of you in Hillsborough! I haven’t quite found the answer to my problem in these, but it’s possible I overlooked it. My Proheat 2X revolution (orange) won’t spray on the floor when I pull the trigger but does from the extension hose. I disassembled to the top handle as you discussed, and the small plastic tab is not broken. When I depress the white rod water flows properly…so for some reason the trigger doesn’t depress the rod enough. Thoughts?
I ordered replacement belts, and installed, but no joy with the trigger. However, when I depressed the valve at the bottom (where you would hook up the hose) to make sure the pump was primed, water shot up…much stronger! How do I get to where the bottom of the white rod is?
Ok, I got the rod out of the handle. I was hoping I would find some means of adjustment, or a way to increase the stroke of the trigger. Nothing obvious. Any ideas?
Hi we just bought a house that came with the 82G7-1. The spring that holds the kick step to start vacuuming. So the vacuum cleaner does not stand up. Have you heard of this? How do I fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The part your are look for should be Lever Release part number 2032347. Not sure if it’s still available but a similar lever should be. It may have a different number. I’ll look into it

Kia ora from New Zealand, hey man how's it going thanks for your video you appear to know alot about these machines, we have a bit of an issue with our machine, we have the purple pro heat revolution ,the issue is that when I release the trigger it will not stop purging solution it goes through roughly a third of the tank before the water stops purging, please help us what on earth is causing this issue? I have a suspicion of what it could be but do not really want to attempt pulling it apart till I really know what is going on maybe, thank you hope you get the message

Absolutely spot on. Good information. My trigger also is not pulling back to shut the water flow off. Thanks again. Pet pro heat 2X
Use a Phillips screwdriver and remove the cap end of the hose and check the spring under the trigger to make sure it’s not rusted

Can you tell me how to check and see if the rod that the trigger button pushes is broke or what. Water will not dispense I’ve checked everything else.
Take off the handle and place your finger at the bottom of the rod then press the trigger if you feel the rod push against your finger then it’s still working - I’ve done a few trigger videos. You can find one in the Bissell tips playlist
How to disassemble bissell crosswave model 17850A handle because the water spray is broken inside. And i want to check the buttons if they are ok.

Okay let’s try this before resorting to buying a new handle. Try changing the pump belt and try to spray again. Keep me posted!

I recommend calling Bissell and ask about the warranty. Ask if there is a warranty center near you

What if the spray won't shut off?
Either the trigger is stuck, the auto receiver is stuck in the down position or the tank may need replacing. Start with the trigger then the tank.
