Sir, it is 3:30 am and you basically saved my marriage. Our poor pup is sick and I’m cleaning up after her (in several rooms) and I discover our Bissell has no suction! Our carpet is soaked and I’m blaming my husband because he used it last. Then I watch your video. Perfect explanation - I check the red suction thing, I make sure the hose door is closed, and yep! The front part was not put back properly. We don’t know who did it. We don’t care. It’s fixed and we can continue and then go back to bed. Thank you!
@vicki8669 Hi- I can’t find the model number- I can search based on the name- please verify if it’s theBissell Revolution or the Bissell Revolution pet pro- the nozzles are a different size
Just had a suction problem that I couldn't figure out. I looked on the Bissell website and several youtube's. No one mentioned the sides except for you. The sides and them not being totally on were the problem. Thanks for the advice and you are truly the professional.
Happy to here. Hope you stick around to get more helpful tips. Feel free to contact us if you run into any other trouble with your machine. IF I don't currently have a video up on the topic I'll try to put one together
You were the only one that could show me how to get The suction, I finally came across your video after about an hour trying to figure it out. Thank you so much for your informative video!!!!
Outstanding troubleshooting video. I tried about 6 to 7 others videos and took my cleaner apart3 times and of course it was the front end of the nozzle not being secured. Your help was much needed and greatly appreciated.
Thank you soooo much!! You totally saved me from having to buy a new carpet cleaner for my mom!!! I watched about 8 videos before I came to yours, and they did not help me at all. I am very thankful that you took the time to explain and demonstrate the problem with the seal on the sides at the bottom.
Thank you, Wayne, for a great, and still relevant, video on Bissell auction issues. This really saved us today trying to clean the carpets in our sons first home!
Great video, you solved our problem within minutes! Our bissell revolution pro 2x wasn't sucking up dirty water, I searched for a solution for hours until I came across your video, turns out we weren't connecting the roller brush cover correctly, I followed your suggestion and connected the bottom section of the cover first for proper seal and that fixed the problem! Thank you so much, we're going to enjoy clean carpets for the holidays thanks to you.
Thank you for keeping your post up for 3 years! I was so nervous that I couldn't trouble shoot this. I have company coming tomorrow. You Sir, are a lifesaver or at least a saver of the dirty carpet😉❤❤
I didn't think it could be the motor. Everything I did in the trouble shooting manual didn't help. I clicked on this video and yeah, I wasn't closing it correctly. Thank you thank you!
You are awesome!!! I worked at trying to solve the suction problem for hours and watched multiple videos and nothing worked. I was about ready to give up and I decided to try one more time. I came upon your video and voila!!! You solve my problem! The lid over the rollers was not snapped on correctly and there was a small gap. I put it on as you directed and tried it is again and Success!. I literally said out loud, "If I could, I would give that man a hug!". Thank you so much!
That little crack on the bottom is what it was for me, at about 3:05 on your video! Thanks for pointing me in that direction...I would have never found it otherwise! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you so much for your simple solution- tip on Making Sure there is a Seal on the sides. I looked at my manual, called Bissel support and they were no help. Your tip saved me a trip to the service center.
Awesome video! The improperly snap on suction bigger lid was definitely was our problem! Bissell needs to watch yours and redo their suction problem video! Or better yet, pay you for yours or hire you! Called them and they did mention the little lid snapping on tight, but not the main big lid! Saved us a trip to the repair shop, although it was still under the three year warranty. Thanks again!
Great tips only an expert can offer. Thank you, my problem is fixed - re-snapped that top part and made sure it sealed tightly as you said to do. I would beg you to please keep this video for a long time, knowing how useful it is!
Thank you from down under. I was gifted a Wertheim Pet Pro SE9500. It was very expensive to buy. I was also gifted the muddy long dog hair clogging the brushes. I've cleaned everything that I can but it only has minimal suction. The tool hoses are attached to the back, so how can I get down into them to check there isn't another yukky surprise stopping the suction? (BTW you're a good looking man) I'm old not blind.
I just watched the official Bissell troubleshooting video. They said nothing about checking the suction at that red filter. I checked mine after your advice and it's good, so that's a relief. Thanks.
OK so you just fixed my issue, bravo sir! I watched the "official" Bissell videos and they were exactly zero help. A couple minutes in and boom, my cleaner is working again. Thank you!
Yup. Cover wasn't installed properly after cleaning on my Bissell Pro Heat 2X Revolution. No suction. Strong suction from the motor. Properly closed it from the bottom as demonstrated and bingo. Back in business. Thank you!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Like many others, my problem was solved by snapping on the clear cover properly. My husband was ready to replace the unit. You saved us. No need to spend unnecessary money 💰!
Bingo!! I watched this video last time I had suction issues. And darn it I did it again! Thought that front was on right. Nope! Did the same mistake! Thank you for solving my issue! You are a life saver!
Just to add my thanks. Bought the Bissel Proheat 2 from someone who had used it once. Tried it out when I got home and no suction. Thought I'd been sold a dud but after seeing your video sorted it straight away. Brilliant advice, thank you so much.
Awesome video!!! Extremely helpful...who would’ve thought the top part had to be snapped a certain way 🤦🏻♀️ didn’t even notice the small gap on the clear section part. Thank you!!!
One thing I found on the Pro Heat 2. The top part of the device, which you can unsnap to take off, has a really soft rubber gasket. The gasket on mine had come out in one place and was pinched over the lip, so it was losing suction there. Might be something to check out. Better rubber should have been used in that design. I used a toothpick to pry it out for about 3 inches and then re-seated it. Worked fine after that. Thanks to the vid maker for getting me to look that over.
Oh how I was fortunate to see your video....I was ready to get rid of this useless cleaner as it wasn’t sucking up any water. Thank you for this enlightening video...You solved my problem...I put the thing back like you said and went back upstairs to see if it would suck up the dirty water soaked carpet...IT WORKED.....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your excellent video to help is❤️😉
Omg you are AMAZING! I have watched quite a few videos and couldn't figure the issue out. I decided to have one more loom before the trash man comes tomorrow and found your video! It worked. I didn't have it closed in correctly at the bottom, even though it looked like it was! 🤪 Thank you so much!
I tried everything and was ready to put the Bissel Proheat at the curb until I saw your video. I noticed the sides were not aligned, and that was the problem! Thank you!!
I wrestled with mine for a good 2-3 hours. Cleaning everything out the best I could. And trying nothing that worked. I gave up n used the handheld scrubber to suck up all my water out of the carpet, only to find this video telling me I didn't clip in the bottom piece right. Sure enough that's what I did. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm an Idiot, such an easy fix! Thank you so much!
Yeahhh! Success at last. Thank you. I checked many videos and the Bissel manual and CZcams and nothing until I found your video. And such an easy fix. 👍😁 yiu are the best.
Thanks for the information! I had this damn vacuum for over a year and always wondered why the dirty water tank never filled. With your tips now it works.
Thank you for your videos. My Ravilution the little pin holes between the two roller brushes where the water shutes out were clogged I blew them clear with air compressor. Work great now.
Thank you so much .. I had cleaned mine and taken the front part off but didn’t snap it on correctly 🤦🏻♀️ I was almost going to go buy a new one and then watched your video and it worked! so relieved 😅. Your video is awesome thanks 😊
great video!!...I had tried every troubleshooting problem except for making sure the front suction guard was properly seated.....took it off and replaced it just as you showed in your video and it sucks like crazy now!.....Thanks a million!!!!
Nice! Have I really been mad at this machine for this long and it was exactly the problem described here. Very subtle that the bottom is not clipped in properly when clipping in the return from the top.
Thank you so much I have been struggling to find out what was wrong with my cleaner suction. I was at the point I was either going to throw it away or bite the bullet and take it in to a dealer to fix it. I watched your video and followed along with checking the different possibility of lost suction. I Fixed IT!!!! Thank you so much.
Yep. It was the front cover not being shut all the way and suction wasn’t air tight. Thankyou very much. Had to cause it from the bottom give it a little tap to make sure it’s closed all the way tight. Shoot. I spent all night taking the bottom part out thinking my hose was jammed. Smh 🤦♂️ 😅
Thank you. I knew it was the lid since that was the problem I had when I first got it but couldn’t figure it out. I had to put it on from the bottom but adjust it some first so that it went on correctly. Thank you again,it worked. 🙂
I have the pro heat 2x pet and the roller s will start but then slows down and stops as if the lever that lowers the brushes forcing it down makin it slow or stop. Please advise.

I didn't get the collar on my 2x revolution dirty water tank. Lucky for me it was in my kitchen. Dirty water was all over. I found out you can use it to clean linoleum.
