- We take a longterm look at the Milwaukee Rover 2108 Magnetic Flood light.
We've had this light since it was released and at first You think it's a great light, but it has some fatal flaws.
After a little bit of usage and war it ultimately fails to operate properly and refuses to say on. new batteries do not help the case.
Our recommendation is DO NOT BUY this light.
There are better and more reliable options out there.

I think home depot has a deal on these for 2 for $40 right now. I wonder if Milwaukee fixed these issues. Glad I didn't buy. I can't decide what lights to buy. I liked that these were small and magnetic, but it seems like they suck.
Harbor freight BRAUN 750 Lumen Rechargeable does wonders
Well, just lost the on/off rubber cover. Don't know if I can turn it on? Can you find a replacement cover/button?
Same thing happens to mine. It just doesn't stay on and the rubber on/off button constantly falls down into the light itself and I have to dig it out with tweezers.
It sucks it shuts off and happens to many people. I removed the belt clip and fixed the shutoff issue by sanding the contact point after taking the top off. It’s basically an expensive magnetic utility knife holder now. The only useful hand tool this company makes is the fastback utility knife.
I have that Milwaukee flashlight I haven't had any problems with it but the only problem is it eats up batteries but then I got a USB one now and I like to usb better now I have 2 Milwaukee flashlights
nice!
Ive had mine like 1-2 years and it just started doing this. Disappointing from the red brand...
Light also makes a high pitch whining noise. Awful product.
Hate the high pitch noise it makes. Must be really inefficient to make so much noise, at least you would think so. 🤔 probably why the batteries run out so quickly. Need someone who designs circuits to chime in.
Oh shit an actual non-shill review.
Mine does the same thing, and has an awful high pitch noise. Poor circuit design & probably high inefficiencies. I always end up using it in the "lower" lumen mode to keep it running longer.
after a couple months... i have none that work as they should. only using the red lithium usb ones.
Has anyone ever tried to fix it?
On Milwaukee's website, this light has a lot of bad reviews, exact same problem you showed.
Any warranty on these?
Same problem with that light. Bad product
I got same issue.
Its a crap!
