  • Full title reads: "Isle of Wight. For The Last Time you see the famous 73 year old Brooke Station's Lifeboat launched with horses - the all-conquering motor tractors having now replaced them - The Picturesque must give way to the Practical!"
    Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
    Men of the Brooke lifeboat crew stand beside their boat. Their acting coxon Major General Sealey shakes hands with crew member.
    Horses are used to pull lifeboat down slipway. Men pull on ropes behind the boat to act as a brake as it goes downhill.
    Shots of the horses and the boat when they have reached the sea shore. The ship is launched out into the sea with men dragging it. They start to row out to sea.
