I own a 2005 gmc 3500 stakebed truck. It has the diesel engine in it. It's a beast for work. I love it. I haul 3 to 5 tons in the bed. However when it needs repairs....its cost a fortune. $700 to $1,100 is what I usually spend everytime I need something repaired . They are cheap to fix. The best one is the 2006 . But goodluck finding one. Now all these teens buy them and use them to race .

I'm a teen looking to buy something like this for my parents landscaping business know I can't speak for all teens but majority of us don't want to race. and in my school a lot of people would prefer something that doesn't preforme like a pruis or a hybrid

Good info, but they went until the first half of 2007. Its not called a dual axle, its dual rear wheels (drw). The duramax did not come out until 2001 (lb7) but the body style started in 1999 for the half ton
