This Is Why We Do Maintenance (Dealer Lied To Us...)

  • We need to get the BRZ up to spec so it is reliable, The dealership told me that all maintenance was up to date on the car and well that's clearly not the truth here. So here we are digging through the car to get it good to go. We still need to do the brakes (Pads and rotors), gear oil and spark plugs. Also the previous owner did some weird electrical things in this car..... why you do this....

They change ur fluids or maintenance on ur car to either not tighten enough or break something else loose so ur car can have problems latter on. I work at subaru and the microbe all they do if you accept it is change the filter and they have to spray the cabin filter and where the air comes in. Something subaru has us do. Because it starts smelling really bad sometimes if not. If that is what they were talking about. But dealer ships in my opinion with all of them are shady because they will make there money back over being honest then after you buy it and get a warranty they can fix it after it breaks on the customer for free instead of throwing money into before so then its all profit. Cause it can't be warranty untill its sold. From my understanding engine oil in the air box is a sign of engine damage was it running all the way down to the intake and does the car feel down on power more then normal if so I would say dig deeper I had a buddy who’s car had that problem and I talked to my automotive teacher he said it was due to piston ring damage and intake valve damage from the time my buddy overheated his car I hope that isn’t the case but also love the videos and I am saving up for a STI at the moment can’t wait to get one and join the subi family
