Just sold my 6D and bought a used M50 with $150 left. Crazy how this is considered a "beginner camera" nowadays... Coming from the 6D, the M50 is so much more advanced. 99 vs 11 autofocus points, focus tracking vs none, 10fps vs 4.5fps continuous shooting, touch screen vs no touch screen, fully articulated vs fixed screen....not to mention better video in every aspect lol
I am reasoning to buy m50 because of the video. And you just gave me more hope😁

What about the image quality, are you happy with that? Of course it depends on the lenses but...
I just decided to grab M50 MKII after using 7d MKI forever. Lol. I’m just happy to have Wi-Fi capabilities…everything else is icing on top.
The m50 video quality cant be compared to 6D
I have the Canon M50 and it has clean HDMI output. You just need to configure it via the menus. I use this feature all the time. I use an ATEM switcher with 5 cameras and two of them are the M50 and I use the HDMI clean out to record all my CZcams footage. Using it this way also means the camera doesn’t turn off like it will when recording to the SD card.
I’ve had the m50 for YEARS. I adore it.
i been using m50 for 3 years..all i can say its been a pleasure..i did many things with it such as wedding videos,wedding photos,shooting music video & events..it's bad in lowlight bad pairing with a good lens you will get a superb output
Bad pairing with a good lens makes zero sense
And here I love the EF-M mount cameras. My M50 is a workhorse for photography and videos especially with vintage glass. Granted Canon glass is great too, especially the 18-150mm, 22mm and 32mm lenses. Aftermarket lenses are spectacular as well, in particular the Sigma 16/1.4, which is so damned clean and sharp. Lastly the Meike EF adapter w/ built in ND filter AND Viltrox EF to EF-M Speed Booster is the icing on the cake.
The speed booster is overrated. It absolutely destroys image quality.
does mount mount adapter impact the image quality??? And can you suggest me what is best lens for m50 mark2 particularly for photography
Uh, the problem you mentioned at 4:00 in goes away by preasing the info button and changing the icons to empty in settings. So you really could film, you just have to confirm the settings before blanking the screen.

I watched a video saying that you can still use this camera as a clean hdmi out without the software , there just won’t be autofocus . Is that true v

Canon M50 mark2 is good for photography??
looking for a camera to record soccer matches, and sometimes 1on1 interviews, all video format and to upload to CZcams, not sure to go with this one...

I have a canon m50 and let me tell you that is a perfect buy!
Don’t buy either of those. EF-M mount is redundant and abandoned by Canon. D3500 is terrible for video. If you’re interested only in photography, get a used DSLR with some good lenses (Nikon D7xxx, Canon 80D/90D series would be good picks) and save money. If video is your main priority, check other mirrorless cameras in the budget range of M50 (assuming that’s your budget). Just my opinion, I own an M50 and I feel stuck with it. I don’t like the video output from kit lenses on offer as well.

i was just about to purchase this camera until I came across this video. What camera would you recommend a step above this one that will do great auto focus on 4k still within the same budget/price line?
If your looking for a dslr This would be the only one within the budget , Sony digital like the zh 1f can record in great 4k video

Sadly they can’t, it’s part of the limitation’s of the camera itself.
I tried to install webcam utility but it doesnt seem to work on window 11?
maybe the mark ii is better then the mark i in all these problems

I totally disagree that 1080p is “working its way out.” 1080 remains a more than perfectly acceptable standard, and it takes up FAR less space on your drives. Many content creators have stuck with 1080 as the difference between it and 4k is often imperceptible to the human eye.
majority of viewers also don't have 4k capable devices. A huge chunk actually just watch on their tiny phone screens.
Agree plus CZcams only plays a video in 1080 anyway

Go to sony A6400 or 6500 but if you on budget i wil go to 6300
Try Nikon. Sony APSC ergonomics are the worst by far. Even Sony FF are not good. Canon and Nikon are the best from ergonomics and usability

Canon and Nikon definitely have better ergonomics than Sony cameras, but Sony full frame models feel really good in the hand!
