I think Cannon should made it more reliable for users, just my opinion
Obviously the mark II... It's just so disappointing that they added literally nothing that couldn't have been added through a firmware update. Newer sensor, better screen, better evf, dp autofocus in 120p mode or 4k, clog... Anything that would have actually warranted a "Mark II"
I'm glad I got the M50 and was able to crank a few videos before this one came out, as I was also planning on waiting. There's nothing really new here that couldn't be added to the MK1 with a firmware update
Omg, can I just say how much I appreciate your chilled out, steady speech. So many CZcamsrs talk so fast-pasted and loud that it literally gives me a headache and I have to turn off. That aside, great video.

I instantly bumped the playback speed to 1.5x 🤣
You could always find a way to set a default playback speed to 0.75x for these other CZcamsrs
Have u been able to live stream with the m50 mark 2? I'm trying to but I'm stuck...I followed the steps and set up to where I see live streaming in the camera but it's give a failed message

I would pick the m50ii for its added features of clean hdmi out, livestreaming and connect to zoom as a quality zoom camera, or using for vlogging. Worth the upgrade if a person actually needs that or wants it for vlogging.

Second, I have a monitor that I tried with my m50, SL2, EOS R but the problem I have is the display on the camera turned off and I cant use the touch screen. My question is, is the issue from the camera system or Canon cameras don’t have that option to control or see both monitors at the same time? Any advice please?

for the Canon M50 mark 1 will the Viltrox EF-EOSM adapter work with this camera and with the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens?
I'm asking since the adapter you suggested is a bit on the Expensive side ...
and it looks like the Viltrox EF-EOSM is the same as the one you recommended (just a bit more affordable) sounds like it's a mark 2 adapter.
I'm thinking of getting the Canon M50 to start filming on CZcams - the Mark II is around $200 more than a new Canon M50 but we don't have refurbished M50s for sale here. Would you recommend getting the M50 and spending the extra $200 on a 22mm lens (flor vlogging) instead?

Great video Omar. I have the M50 Mk1 and still having a blast using it. I’m surprised they didn’t consider dropping the 30min record limit on the Mk2 as that’s a frustrating feature I didn’t think would come to niggle me after purchase.
I also have the 50mm and adapter, that’s a brilliant addition too.

It limits the recording time?! Is this a setting or because the battery runs out?
Question: Does the MKII shut down after 30 minutes using the HDMI? or do you still have to use the webcam utility, (I'm on a PC).

I have the Canon M50 mki and there is a huge lag between voice and picture on zoom when using an external microphone. Do you know if this is the same with the mk ii or has the HDMI change fixed this? Thank you!

The only reason it sounds like to buy the mark ii is if you're looking at buying strictly brand new and have the money. Everything else (upgrading, buying cheap, etc) sounds like it's better just to stick to the mark i
How do I connect my Canon M50 to my atem mini pro video switcher? When I connect my micro hdmi to the camera and the hdmi end to the stem video switcher I do not get a fees. Any thoughts?

I think you missed a main feature added, they also added a crop zoom video, where as before it was just a manual focus adjuster.

At around 6:00 you mentioned at 1080p the Mark I lost autofocus. Is that fixed in the Mark II?

I noticed on the adapter 0.71x, does that means that on 1.6 crop factors the adapter adds 0.71x more of crop factor or i got that wrong?

@@irfanm5892 soo I DID end up buying the m50 and honestly its not bad of camera. It does the job just well! i did a photoshoot 2 weeks with this chick and the pics cam out pretty dope. The only flaw i could really point out is the battery life. Not the best imo, i think my old dslr can last a bit longer but then again everything including the screen is more digitized you know what i mean? And i think the iphone MAX cameras are the same if not a little better than a M50. Overall tho i think the cam was worth buying. Also too i was pretty upset when i found i couldnt use my favorite nifty 50 lens on it bc i need to add an adapter. which of courrrse costs around 100 bucks :/

A... the m6 mark ii ... is kinda what the m50 mark ii should have been.
B... yeah, I think the m7 will be a step above the the m6 mark ii. I bet it costs 1300-1500+
So, I think the m50 1 or 2 is still great. I have a lot to do with your budget.
@@ThinkMediaTV In australia the price difference isn't $50 it's $200 the m6 mark ii is in some shops cheaper than the m50 mark ii so... now I'm even more confused, or do I wait for a m7? for reference I'm upgrading from an ancient eos 1000d so almost everything on the market is an improvement.

I've been using the M50 as a webcam with a USB cable on both my MacBook and PC for months. Much easier than using a capture card and the quality is incredible compared to a regular webcam

Crop-in 4k is why I passed on M50. Went for M6 ii for that reason. Very happy with my choice.
This feels like a Version 1.1 of the M50. Looks like a firmware update is all that this camera has rather than anything "new" to be honest. I'd love to know if there is anything in the hardware of the M50 Mark II that the M50 itself doesn't have that it couldn't have these same features with just a firmware update. Also, I'd also love to know if the electronic level display bug is fixed where it can display if you're using face tracking as opposed to Zone tracking as your autofocus mode.

I’m buying my first camera for my CZcams channel. Since my channel incorporates lots of photos it would be nice to use my vintage Nikon lenses from my 35mm camera. I have a great 50mm macro. Are there adaptors from these vintage lens to the Canon M50 mark 2? What’s the downside of this type of setup?
