    Bladiuss. You forgot to mention that you do not need a sledgehammer to remove walls in Twiggy's tavern, since they are level 4 wooden walls. This is a good option if you are really unlucky with finding the sledgehammer.

    • @bladiuss
      @bladiuss  Před rokem +6

      That's absolutely right! That's one of the many reasons why Twiggy's is such a fantastic spot. When it comes down to it, the ease of fencing it off is a major advantage it has over other locations. Choosing a place that allows for convenient and efficient fencing can make a world of difference in fortifying your base and keeping unwanted visitors out. Twiggy's definitely checks all the boxes in that regard!

    The docks are my favorite, preferably the dock near the gun store and its road leading straight to the gas station in the middle of the city. I tend to just make walls around it and set up a small camp, after I’ve gathered enough resources, I build a small cabin. There’s also those 2 docks with three 2-story houses near it, they also make good bases but I still prefer to bunker down in that one dock with a pre-built small cabin. Water will never be an issue, you can also live off with fishes, farms can be abundantly watered down, your near town but isolated enough to be safe from wandering hordes, you can also take that single antique oven in the town to use as an oven and heater for winter. The docks are also near residential areas so its easy to transport furnitures. Overall the docks are my fave bases to bunker down, it just takes a bit of work but it pays in the end.

    • @bladiuss
      @bladiuss  Před rokem +3

      Hey, docks are an amazing location for a base if you're willing to put in the effort to build from scratch. There are several ways to make these structures impenetrable by zombies, and it's surprisingly easy. Another great aspect of the spot you picked is the abundance of nearby trees, allowing you to improve, fortify, and build all sorts of crazy things, as long as you have the necessary tools. Awesome job-keep it up!

    West point pop is insane, When PZ got boring I limited myself to playing on insane 6 months later in West Point ... and it's a lot of fun since you might not even be able to loot anything at the spawn as you are often getting swarmed immediately on spawn. It's very rewarding as looting a lighter or garbage bag feels like a great success and surviving another day is always a challenge. If this will get boring I will probably add sprinters to keep me on my toes.

    • @bladiuss
      @bladiuss  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Phew, playing with sprinters is a whole new ball game. If you were careful before, with sprinters, you gotta crank it up to 100%. It's worth a shot in the future, but fair warning-it might just dial up the stress levels!

    The 3 houses near West Point do have a point of interest, behind the lake you can find a small fishing hut that can contain fishing equipment, and it has a 100% chance to spawn a antique oven, which is useful

    Dude, moving Twiggy's into the storage facility is genius! The Woodbury reference is great too because that's exactly what the street looks like.
    My favorite base is the big warehouse. There's so much space for all the cars and building whatever interior you want. I made a big upstairs loft area one time with a bedroom and huge kitchen, living room, etc. Downstairs was the armory and crafting materials. It doesn't have any walls but I didn't need them after I cleared the area because I could just pick off any zeds from the roof with guns. Huge rooftop area for farming and generator. I just really like warehouse bases though

    • @bladiuss
      @bladiuss  Před rokem +2

      Dude, you gotta love Twiggy's! I've been thinking about creating a mini Woodbury Mega Base, complete with a refugee and military camp, a medic center, and all sorts of stores you'd find in a real survivor's town. I want to showcase it in a video, you know? Oh, and I've never really considered the warehouse as a shelter because I thought it had too many entrances. But now that you mention the layout, it just seems too good to pass up. Taking the second floor and the roofing gives you crazy space, man.

    • @TheTWH9
      @TheTWH9 Před rokem +1

      @@bladiuss there are definitely a lot of entrances which is kind of a pain but if you can secure it it’s worth it. And yes the upstairs alone is a LOT of room and there’s plenty of wood nearby for building the floor out, esp in the little storage container behind the building. It’s a fun project if you want another West Point run haha and the Woodbury project sounds awesome!

    I like W.P. as my main spawning location and place for my first hideout.
    Normally i start above the Enigma bookstore, setting up house. Many of the shops here in this street have very good appartments above them.
    Then sometimes i move towards the American Tire center in the southeast of W.P. depending on how much time i want to spend relocating/renovating.
    This game is a gem to me. There is just so much to do and one can get creative.
    I do like a more laid back approach to the game, not pushing the limits on the zombie population. THat may be something for later to try.
    I customized the game to my liking, leaving plenty of room for me to have my characters die a horrible death ;-)

    I would consider the Construction site as well, it's got a decent amount of space and has some prebuilt walls, only a few will need some replacement and usually I put 2 gates on either of the polar sides of the base. You can also further expand the trailer sitting in the walls.

  • @pollyphemeus
    @pollyphemeus Před rokem

    I love the 3 houses and the storage lots. Have based in both. But by far my favorite base you were dancing around the whole time: The super market! The massive parking lot gives you a very large buffer range that means you rarely get zombie attacks. I normally just sacrifice the main portion of the building and just lock down the back storage area. It only has a few doors. Most of which face internally so they rarely get attacked. It has a single staircase to a second floor. once you have a sledgehammer, you can add a door from the office to the roof of the storage area for farming, and a staircase to the upper roof as well if you need more space. in terms of room for expansion, you can add a whole second floor pretty much inaccessible to zombies through the inner office room. It also has a garage for your car by default, and you can use the parking lot to collect work cars for repairs and mechanic skills. It's still very centrally located, and easier to lock down than some of your other suggestions like the auto shop and the grocery. Good video tho! We all have different basing styles.

      Hi there! What an awesome take on the supermarket! I actually sought shelter there the first time I visited West Point. I was making my way towards downtown, but it seemed like the hordes just wouldn't stop converging on that spot. And boy, did I get overwhelmed! You see, my character had the "Sleepy Head" negative trait, so I'd start feeling drowsy around 12:00pm and still had to fend off those zombies. Long story short, I ended up getting bitten in the parking lot and made a swift escape back to the American Tire Building. Maybe it's because of that experience that I didn't consider the Supermarket to be in my top 5. But looking back, I think my untimely demise had more to do with my inexperience and my character's wonky traits than the actual location itself. By the way, I'm loving the idea of creating a whole new floor on the second story. Keep up the great work!

    Build a wall around the map so zombies dont respond because there is a program that runs in the back ground don't leave the cell tile so zombies don't brake those walls make it double walls like a Roman engineering attacking fortifications to attack a fortify city.
    The second wall is to protect from the reinforcements.
    The reinforcements is more zombies and you want to clear the city for the loot. And build a wall around the city and a wall around your manor and fortify the windows and door. So 2 wall 4 floor tiles between the walls and 1 cell tile away from the city walls will be if they break the wall they wouldn't spawn to close to you and your house has a wall and use artic enters so zombies don't spawn on the inside of the city when leaving and close a door before opening the next door for artic enters to work.
