    Thanks for the video! Lots of great info; two questions;
    1. Do you know how I can find out if a man overseas VFS centre has scanning facilities? My wife will be doing her biometrics in a place called Pune (near mumbai) and I am struggling to get a response from them directly).
    2. I am just arranging our photos for relationship docs; did you print yours on a home printer or get them printed professionally? I am a bit worried that the quality might not be there with a home printer. ( I watched your relationship docs video which was super helpful)

    Just wanted to ask, if I apply online within the UK on behalf of a partner outside the UK. Can I take documents to the appointment I make within the uk? Or does the partner take documents to their biometric appointment to be scanned? Thank god I done it months ago. The new way is complicated

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  Před 4 lety

      Hi, yes this new way is very complicated, even for me.
      From what I've been told, you have 3 options. They can either be scanned from home (either you or the applicant I guess), they taken to the biometrics appointment by the applicant and scanned there or the sponsor can take them to their nearest visa centre to be scanned there. Definitely look into this though as this is just what I have heard, I don't know for sure

      Hi. Yes, my husband and I met a couple of times before we married in 2017 (years apart though and were not in a relationship until 2016. I have stamps in my passport to prove that I went over a couple of times but no proof that we met (except for in 2016, I had pictured from then which I provided also). I only met him in his country but you can meet your partner in Europe if you like, your wife will need a Schengen visa to do that so she will need to apply at the embassy of the European country you want to visit. I'm not sure if you will need one or not as UK citizens didn't need one before Brexit but we are post Brexit now so not sure if the rules have changed.

    Hi. I’m just wondering if anyone applied on a 12months payslip period (category B) on the spouse visa which is if you haven’t been in your current employment for 6months. Also my other question is if one of your employers refused to provide you a letter in regarding to your employment with them. Can I just put the job contract and the payslip. Is that enough. I will be getting letters from the other organisations I have worked with within the past 12months, contract and payslip as I am going through the 12months route. Please all replies with be welcome. I need the information urgently. Thanks.

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  Před 4 lety

      Hi Kari, I don't know many of my viewers who have applied under Cat B but I don't think it will be too complicated. Just make sure that it is clear when you left and started each job and make sure all 12 months of bank statements correspond to all 12 months of wage slips. I would strongly suggest you provide a P60 if you can. Though it is an optional document it will help further prove your annual income. I would definitely take the time to help them work it all out by doing the maths for them on a separate A4 sheet of paper (not sure how this will work now with the scanning system, before you could submit anything in the post) but do it just in case as they can miscalculate and then reject the visa which you don't want.
      It's a shame you are unable to get a letter from one of your employers. Is there a HR team you can speak to if the manager is not co-operating? Contracts are optional and not mandatory so they aren't usually accepted documents but surely they cannot expect you to get such a letter from an ex employer 🤔. Be very explanatory of your situation and you may be ok. I would suggest you seek professional advice and may post on an immigration forum. There is immigrationboards, expatforum and also a Facebook page called uk immigration and visas

      Amir Tarakhail Hi Amir, we are both well and happy thank you. Hope you both are too. UKVI tend to call people that have more than one job and usually the call is regarding their second job. But the questions usually consist of things like, where you work, your role, how long you’ve been there, how much your earn, how long you’ve been earning that amount, how you get paid, how many people you work with, I’ve heard they can even ask questions like what colour is the front door. So deffo be prepared for questions like that, they usually then call the employer and ask them the same questions to make the answers match I guess. I would also suggest you know basic information about your relationship, when you met, how you met, when you got married, how long you’ve been married, how old you were when you got married, how old your wife was, where you got married, her date of birth, etc. Hope that helps!

    Dear Ruksana,
    Firstly I would like to say thank you for the videos you have uploaded. My wife has come to the UK on a spouse visa gaining Indefinite Leave to Enter status on a Pakistani passport via UAE Dubai. Although the visa application process was different from yours for your husband and I did receive some advise here and there from others, your videos, especially on how to organise the documentation proved invaluable. Many lawyers were asking extortionate rates to give generic advise and saying hello. Also, the Home Office was a difficult organisation to get information from, even stuff that should be easily available and is seemingly hidden and spread out on their website. Thank you for all your support, both technical and emotional. To know we were not the only one to go through all this was motivating.
    I am now in the process of getting my wife to settle here. I'm trying to find out how we go on our honeymoon and how she can open a bank account and how she can register with the local GP. In fact, 99% of the information online is on how to get into the country but very little on what the steps are once you are here. I wondered if you had any advise on that. Anyways, thank you for sharing your experiences and I wish you and your husband all the best.
    Nabeel

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  Před 4 lety

      Hey Nabeel, really sorry for the late reply. I’m assuming you have probably managed half of these things by now.
      It didn’t take much to get my husband registered at the dentist, the dr asked for proof of address and accepted the address we provided on the tb certificate. My husband applied for an NI card soon after her arrived and he used that letter along with his BRP card and passport to apply for a bank account with hsbc. He’s been here almost 2 years now, he’s got a full uk driving license, a help to buy isa and a credit card lol
      Congratulations on getting your wife across to the U.K. I’m glad to here my videos were helpful even though the process was quite different 🎉🎉

      Thanks for the quick response ma’am. Just wondering. If we have to go physically there to submit our documents, then there is no need of make two copies of our documents (original copy)? Like after scanning the documents shall we take our documents back with us isn’t?

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  Před 5 lety

      Well no one has mentioned anything about whether they take a copies bundle with them or not. Personally, I would still create one (to keep for myself, which I did) and take that with me in case they want to keep any documents out of it. If they don’t then I have my own pile that will stay intact ready to refer back to when we make the next application. Yes, you will have your original like but you will need to take things back out of that pile and use them for other things like we did for our schengen visa application, so the original pile never stays in tact
