    Hi, Ruksana. Thank you for the videos, really appreciate it. How did you calculate the 5 year period: from the day of original entry to the UK or from the start date of the entrance month visa? When did you hand the application in - straight after the last day of the 5y period?

    Thank you for the video sister.
    In terms of showing how your spouse is integrating into the country, how would a home maker, taking care of the kids that does not have a job show this?

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  Před 5 měsíci

      Aww no worries.
      I suppose it is much harder for someone in that situation. Maybe they are integrating by joining an English class, meeting friends there, improving on the language? Any groups they've joined. Integrating into British family life? With the sponsors family? It really is a hard one if the applicant is not doing anything outside of the home.

      Hi, apologies for the late reply. I am not sure if you need me to answer these questions anymore but the ILR application was £2404 when we applied (this is shown at the end of my application walkthrough video czcams.com/video/Zy66v2D02LY/video.html).
      There is no IHS fees for the ILR application and you will need IELTS B1 to pass the English requirement.

      @RuksanaAhmed  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi, sorry to hear that you hadn't heard back from the home office, hopefully you have now. It took is 8 weeks before we heard back. That is how long they say a standard application decision is made. The email they send out is automated so it's not anything to worry about, it just buys them more time. Please have a look in my description box, there may be a link there on contacting UKVI, I am not sure if that is still available.

    Hi Ruksana thank you for the video which will be a great help with my wife’s ILR application .
    I would just like to ask your opinion about immigration and now that the gross salary has been increased to £38K approx do you think this is a good thing to stop the ever increasing number of immigrants arriving?

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  Před 6 měsíci

      Hi, I understand that there are a lot of immigrants coming into the UK but I do feel this is an unfair increase. For many years now it has been £18,600 and a lot have struggled to even meet that. The increase is now £29k which I still think is quite high, especially when applying for the initial visa as it’s only one income. I feel like genuine couples are being penalised for wanting to live together. I do think it will discourage a lot of people to marry abroad or at least make them think twice.
