  • This video is NOT about how to burn fat. This cute video explains with simple science what happens to fat when you burn calories and how it actually physically leaves the body. Heavy breathing does not make you burn fat, but doing things that make you breathe heavy does. And guess what? Fat is converted to C02 and leaves your body IN YOUR BREATH! You might be amazed when you learn the truth. For more fun educational life improving videos like this, subscribe to this channel and also:

      @@liyenong2017 I was vegan for two years, and it really depends on the body. My body has a bit of a hard time breaking down protein and loves turning carbs into fat. To meet the needed caloric and protein intake for someone with my physiology, I needed to take a looot of grains (so, a lot of carbs too) and my metabolism slowed down, no matter the amount of exercise I did. I eventually left it after gaining 30 extra kilograms since I also used to be a vegetarian for five years prior. I did some keto and lost the first 20, and now I'm doing a normal diet but due to a good amount of bioavailable protein, my metabolism is great, it's been two years since I can eat without gaining much weight, and I'm almost 27, an age where my metabolism should be slowing down a bit, but nope.

    It doesn't matter if you're exercising on an empty stomach or not (in the long term). When you're exercising on an empty stomach you'll lose more fat during the exercise but if you eat the same amount of calories later then you'll also make more fat. What matters at the end is calorie deficit and not how much fat you burned during the exercise itself. Also, you're weaker when fasted so if you're doing weight lifting or HIIT you'll build more muscle, burn more calories and in the long term lose more fat if you're exercising fed and not fasted because you'll be physically stronger if you ate carbohydrates before so your workout would be better.

    • @cecilmcintosh864
      @cecilmcintosh864 Před rokem +1

      This is very true. However if you don't like to feel hungry it is easier to exercise in the morning before you get hungry, because you are naturally fasted by sleeping, then do a low intensity cardio for 30-40 min. Shadow box, jog, shoot baskets, etc. Then you burn more fat cuz high intensity resistance uses glycogen and blood sugar more than fat. That's why you should eat before those work outs because high intensity burns fat for hours after the workout by recovery and muscle repair. Combine fasted cardio in morning with high intensity close to evening and you will shred. Repair over night destroys fat, so punish muscle before dinner and get to bed early after dinner, then wake up and do 30min cardio. That cycle guarantees calorie deficit, and you will likely not notice being hungry or low calorie

    • @pennyproud1621
      @pennyproud1621 Před 10 měsíci

      This is SO not true. I've never been weak doing cardio or strength training fasted 😂😂😂 That's absurd. Never even hard of that. Only way you would be weaker during a fasted state is if you were actually starving to death. Being forced to not eat and choosing to not eat are TWO different things.

      That's a myth. The main reason why you would gain weight right after stopping your fast is because you get back the lost water from exercising and eating less. as long as you eat on a maintenance you shouldn't gain the fat back.

      Please don’t skip out on a pre workout energy snack! That’s not healthy and your body still needs energy to get through the workout. The energy you use to workout is different from then stored energy you need to steady lose weight. This video only gets half of the equation right!

    For those that it cannot do or not willing to do any exercise that makes you huff and puff. If you do a slow steady state exercise for long enough you will start eating into your fat reserves. Preferably empty stomach. If you change your diet to whole food plants with lots of fiber this will release energy slow so you have the opportunity to burn your own reserved fat . I lost 80 pounds easily only doing an hour long walk a day listening to music and relaxing and then doing half an hour of bodyweight exercise after then I had a huge huge green salad. As I was losing weight I did have some pieces of fruit.fell amazing look amazing ! This was in 1996 ! Way before the raw food craze and good reason ppl should go crazy on raw whole food 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌸💥bam

      bread is an unnecessary carb which turns into sugar and sugar is also an unnecessary card your body can do without!

    That's only part of the whole issue.
    If you do this while your adrenals are down (chronic exhaustion) you will deplete them further. And when the adrenals are down so is the thyroid which negatively affects thermogenesis and therefore weightloss.

    So will fasting and doing HIIT (such as high intensity cardio) cause loss of muscle mass instead of fat? I've read some articles that suggest so, it's confusing seeing conflicting answers, I'm trying to help a relative of mine and kind of concerned about the loose hanging skin that some people end up with when they lose weight, so I'm trying to prevent that.

    • @MarkusRothkranz
      @MarkusRothkranz  Před 6 lety +14

      No the body uses fat for energy. Muscle is the very last to go only if there is nothing else. The body is smarter than most people give it credit for.
